I got a call from 888-913-7405 and it was answered by Jeff Burton and he said they were looking for someone that was not me. Then they just hung up. I called back to find out why and they said they took my number out.  Collection company. Just doing their job I guess.

I received a recorded message from 1-888-913-7405, I let it play through and hit whatever number to talk to a human being to find out what the problem was, and if they did indeed have the correct person (I highly doubted that).  After I hit the number, a male person came on very quickly and spoke very quickly stating that "This is Bill Joy how can I help you" to which I replied, why don't you tell me since you are the one that called me.  To which Bill Joy hung up.  So, being the curious person that I am, I called the number back.  There was nothing, just dead air, like the number didn't exist.  This has happened several times, and as of yet I haven't received any information as to business, debt or anything else.  I'm on the do not call list, which I do report, but once I report one number they call from another.  HELP!

Received a call from 888-913-7405. We did not recognize the number and let our machine pick up the call. The caller was a woman named Miss Lawson. We had no reason to call the number back and have never received a call from this company before. They are a collection agency calling on a "personal business matter" but gave no information as to who the call was for. The collection agency is called the Collection Bureau of Hudson Valley

calls wont leave message very rude to my daughter when asked if they wanted to leave a message and they hung up. calls two or three times a day

They call twice a month on the 15th and the 26th on my cell phone. They leave a message but they do not say who they are looking for. Or the name of there company. They say to push 1 if your not that person or 2 if you are? Then they leave a number to call them back on. 1-800-824-6191 I have no reason to call them back, they don't say a name.

Received a phone call this morning at 8:15 AM, did not answer let answer machine pick up the call -  caller "Joe Free" no message by caller.  Where do these "scum bags" find our phone number, we are on
the "Do Not Call" list.

It's illegal for them to call and hang up without talking to you or leaving a message. Document the number, time they called, and what happened - then go to www.ftc.gov to lodge a complaint against them. Calling and hanging up is considered harrassment. Accusing you of lying, threatening to arrest you, etc. is harrassement and illegal. They are allowed to say that if the debt is not paid that you can be sued for the amount allegedly owed.

Be your own advocate and stand up for your rights. No one deserves to be harrassed and treated like scum just because money's tight.

Missed the call and there was no message left so I called back and spoke to a Melissa Bailey. She asked for my ex husband who I havent talked to since our divorce last year. Knowing him I wouldnt be surprised if it was a collection agency.

They called my cell which was odd. It was a woman and she asked for me by my maiden name. My cell has always been under my married name. August will be 8 years. So when she asked by maiden name told her she has the wrong number cuz it's no longer my name.

It is Melissa Bailey.  Just spoke with her ... FYI - it's a collection agency.  I have a balance due on a car that was repossessed last year.  Uuugh!  She's in Hudson Valley and the address is P.O. Box 831, Newburgh, NY 12551 in case you get something that looks like junk mail.  She said many people just throw that out too.  She seems nice ... but we didn't talk long either.  Hope this helps!

Called my new cell phone account with an automated message telling me to hang up immediately if I am not <some person>.

I got a voicemail from this number several months ago.  I called them back.  It's a collection agency based in the Hudson Valley area of upstate New York.  

They called me trying to collect on an account.  I never held the account they had in their collection records.  They had a completely erroneous address on file with my name and my birthdate and other information that didn't match up.  The only thing they had was my phone number.  They haven't called my phone since.  Based on the address they had in their file, that area of the country recently had an area code change, someone may have made a mistake in updating/transferring the collection record.

Never leaves a voicemail or anything....just calls every few days. I called the number back and found it the woman's name that is connected to the phone number, Melissa Bailey. I don't have any idea why she keeps calling, but she never leaves a message

I also receive calls from this number asking for an individual I never heard of. I have told them that and they accused me of lying. I tried to return the call to get a supervisor and all I get is a siren sound. Now they just call and when I answer, no one is there. I have filed a complaint with the FCC.

They left me some strange message about my social security number and the internet but I couldn't understand what they were saying so I didn't call back!!

keep getting calls from the same number with no message, tried to do a public search with lexis nexis, and yellow pages and nothing was returned.  annoying, as mention in previous complaints, a call every few days or week or so...

both numbers are from a collection agency not sure which one it is as they don't say. You can tell from the message that they leave thats its from a collection agency. they say " This message is for ...."
