They've been calling me every day in the morning. I don't pick it up. They don't leave a message. Three calls in the past three days.

Folks below say they're trying to sell me newspaper subscriptions.

Useless. I want to make news, not read it.

Call the number 888-918-6817 back.  It is a recording where you can enter in your phone number to have it removed from the list.  I did so today.  Hopefully it works.

I get calls from 888-918-6817 also.  If you call back the number, there is a recording where you can enter in your phone number and have your name removed from the last.  I did that today, and will see how it goes.

I just called them, I got a computer generated message and was able to remove my number.  They are selling news paper.

The do not call list does not apply to collection agencies.

I used to work for a collection agency and I don't remember ever checking a dnc list of any kind before calling people. I have to wonder if the list does any good at all. Also, in order to confuse people by masking the number we were calling from, there are services online that allowed us to pick whatever number we wanted to show on the caller i.d. So one never really knows where these calls are coming from. I got a call from this number today and I live in Utah.

They call all the time and never leave a message. To make matters worse I have call blocking service but when I try to block this number, the computer tells me it is not a valid number. They have some way to block call blocking. What's with that?

They just called me back, and it were calling on "Behalf of the Rockford Register Star."  I unsubscribed from the paper months ago, and before she could even finish her spiel I asked her to remove me from her calling list.  She told me it would take up to 30 days for this to take effect. So we'll see.

I'm also in Rockford IL.  And I get calls from this number multiple times a day.  It's so annoying!  Usually no one calls me unless it's important, so I drop everything to go answer my phone (Cell phone) and it's this stupid company.  I've never answered, but the message they always leave is just background noise and/or heavy breathing.  So sick of it!  And obviously telling them to stop calling you does no good.  Awesome.

I am also in the Rockford area. They call my business line multiple times per day, often times after hours. We answer the call a majority of the time but there is never anyone on the line.

All I get when I answer is an automated voice that says "Please Hold for an Important Phonecall" .. and then it hangs up.

So Confused.

This number calls me between 1 and 2 x a day. they're trying to sell me a newspaper subscription. when I told them no I would not give them my credit card information over the phone they got pushy im would not take no for an answer. I've told them no several times and hung up on them several times . Finally I said this was harassment and to remove me from there call list. The next time I got a call an individual told me that I manager would have to remove me from the call list. I got another call today despite having been told from a manager that I was removed from the list. I spoke with another "manager" today and was told my name would be removed from the list. I  informed him that after this I would take legal action.

when they call answer by saying 911 what's your emergency ! i think it hurts their brain.

BINGO... these jerks apparently have called my phone before too, but funny thing is, is that they are not calling my home phone, which most of these jerks usually do, even though I'm also on the "Do NOT call list", but they still do anyway!! They are calling on my cell phone, how on earth do these A**les get a hold of my cell #?? They shouldn't even have this #!! I NEVER answer any of these BS calls, & my answering machine is also FULL, so good luck leaving me a msg!! Don't care why they calling, just QUIT calling me, this is VERY annoying & sick of them calling, this is just like harrassment from these jerks...don't bother, I'll NEVER answer!! Get a clue...also in Rkfd, IL too, they must be targeting us here??

I am also in Rockford and receive calls from them.  If anyone has any info I'd love to throw these jerks under the bus.

This number as been calling me every day for about 2 weeks now.  It is a telemarketeer.

They call me very day & never leave a message.

So sick of these people calling me! I've left 3 msgs. to delete my number. It's time to report them. It's ridiculous how many times they call every day and even more ridiculous that most of the calls have noone on the other end when I do answer!

I get repeated phone calls from this number and no one is on the other end.

So, I was contacted by a law firm about this matter? (It's an LLC based in Chicago, IL)
Oddly enough, they didn't use the email I registered here with, they used my personal use email...
Also, they sent me a letter in the mail (snail-mail)...
They have gone threw great lengths to contact me in the hopes to sue the company behind these calls.

My hesitation to return contact with them is mostly because I'm the only registered user complaining about this number.
It seams very odd to me, someone going threw so much to contact me over a 1/2 dozen calls.

Anyone have any thoughts?

I got the same calls from this # & I'm in San jose, CA.

I get called from this number 3 times a day. Morning, noon and evening. I have never answered the call. They never leave a message. I am on the DNC list and yet I get called form this number a lot. I am from TX.

Just letting you know . . . must be some crazy newspaper conspiracy.  They call my home several times a day and I am on the DNC list.
