I got a call from a young lady stating that they sent me a letter that I never recieved. She went on saying that I owed some money n she couldn't disclosed any information when i asked. My initial thought was this company was bogus but I went ahead and made a small payment and then a couple more to close the debt. A week later I received paper work stating the date agreement of the payments n for me to sign n return. I called the number provided n answering message said that it was not set up to answer calls....how crazy for a company to not have a message mailbox. I immediately called my bank n filed a claim against the payments made to this company. I then looked them up on line n the number 8889252664 was provided n when I called it was some promotion for a gift card n when I asked if they were PH Financial the man hung up on me. Be mindful of callers from this company. As I now feel stupid for trying to do the right thing I'm now having to make a claim.

You're an idiot - You can't goto to jail over a debt - Of course f you fail to appear after receiving a SUMMONS you can be held in contempt and a bench warrant may or may not be issued HOWEVER, the COURTS have to issue the summons not some imposter on the phone!
Accordingly, if a person is served for civil proceedings the courts (depending on jurisdiction) allow 28 days to file a reply to the complaint than issue a hearing date after that
My advice to you & the people you obviously work for is DO NOT practice law without (a real crime) a license to do so & DO NOT impersonate ANY office of any court!
Did I mention you're an idiot?

Ill admit I have some debts I found it odd but two collections places were using your name. The one listed here and another one aj or je or jr financial firm I can't remember what their letters were but looking up their sites they were close together address office wise. I haven't gotten a call since I changed my number but they had my full real name not my nick name Mac. They were calling my whole family saying docufile and giving their 800 number. Good luck guys

YOU CAN NOT GO TO JAIL OVER A CIVIL DEBT. ASK ANY LAWYER OR LAW ENFORCEMENT AGENCY.
| anonymous 2012-07-28 01:41:15 Unknown |
That used to be true but is no longer true. Your link describes what used to happen in 1/3 of the counties in Illinois but lawmakers have come to their senses and realized how STUPID it was to waste taxpayer money on jailing debtors so they repealed that antiquated law. Read it for yourself here http://www.consumeraffairs.com/news04/2012/07 ... n-illinois.html

Yes, you can theoretically be jailed for contempt if you fail to appear but judges don't send debtors to jail if they don't show up, judges simply award plaintiffs with default judgements. Jails are overcrowded, states are broke and they need the space for more dangerous criminals. In practice, debtors are never jailed for failure to pay or for contempt. My local paper just reported 3 cases where the payday loan company won default judgements when the debtors failed to show up and nobody went to jail.

Don't just post the article, read it: "Under the law, debtors aren't arrested for nonpayment, but rather for failing to respond to court hearings, pay legal fines, or otherwise showing 'contempt of court' in connection with a creditor lawsuit." --from the article.
That's why crooked collectors have turned to relying on "default judgments" where the debtor doesn't show so the court simply rules for the collector. Why doesn't the debtor show? It's called "sewer service." The plaintiff/collector has the duty under the law to serve the defendant/debtor court papers informing them of the suit. They just "forget" and presto, a default judgment where they don't have to prove anything. Illegal as hell, in fact it's perjury, but they're making money and using the courts and cops as instrumentalities of their fraud. A bigger perversion of justice I cannot imagine.

These people are full of s**t. They say they work for docu-file and tell you a sheriff will come serve you with a "warrant" or "documents" or a "summons". Then they give you this # 888-925-2664. It goes to the closers who represent themselves as PH Financial. In reality, all of the people you talk to sit in the same office and talk a bunch of s*** about you people that owe money. I would know. I worked there. I had no clue what I was getting in to. They lie to their employees too. James Ward is a piece of s***. He has no idea how to run a business. He's also a despicable man who cheats and hits his baby mama. He has no morals and doesn't give a s*** about anyone but himself. (I know he will see this. They keep an eye on this site) He goes by Matt Powers or Bryan Freeman. Then there is Nicole Evans, Anthony Mesa, Amber Stevens and all the little pricks from "docu-file". Don't believe a word these people say. And yes, you can go to jail over debt in some rare cases but these retards don't have that power. I wish there was some way to get them, and all of A&N Financial shut down.

July 10, 2012 the same number called my sister in law said the exact same thing as the above, the caller ID said "Detroit", the laidy on phone said same story of sheriff looking to serve warrent and will be at front door in a few hours. Why would these crazy people take time to waist it like this, they must really have a sorry life to entertain themselves by doing this to random people. Dont pick up the phone unless you recognize the number, otherwise let themy leave a message.

A girl from "Doc-U-File" called me (on our unlisted #) asking for my Mother (who doesn't live with us and not even the same last name... so how they connected us I'm not sure) saying she was holding a summons from the Sheriff's Dept for her and she needed to speak with her within the next hour.
Got a hold of my mother and had her call. The man she spoke with said they would settle an outstanding balance (from 1988!) for $300. When she asked for specifics, because she couldn't remember anything outstanding or from that long ago, he told her it would cost her $800 for the information.
That's not a legitimate debt collector - that's a scam!

Someone removed my post! I don't understand this website you ask us to write who called us and I did.
It was people helping me out about a matter I forgot about. I think this site is a scam wanting people to get in trouble. They were nice to me on the phone I don't know why some say they are rude. They are still helping me with some legal matters too.
I bet this scam site will delete this post just like my last one!

I ignored the first warning then the second thinking it was a scam.
They served me while I was throwing my sons birthday party in front of everyone. I could have avoided this if I had just called the first time. Now that I have spoken with the firm we are resolving the problem. Just call please you don't want to be in my situation dealing with crazy charges for a matter I simply forgot to take care of.

They called my family members stating I would be served with paperwork, I called the number and I said I would not pay them any money without paperowrk showing what my debt was for and physical paperwork showing what and why I owed the money for. They sent me a generic form to my email with just the debt amount owed nothing about what it is from and the company information.

They contacted my son in TN and threaten him with warrant for his arrest if he didn't give them my contact Information,. They tried to say I got a credit card and owed over $2,000 in 2007. They told me the sent letters to my home. I never received anything for this company.I was on my lunch break, They told me that I had to settle with them or go to court week later. Didn't want to go to court so I gave bank number on debt card for payment to come out this Friday. Jokes on them, I now have all their information and I cancelled that bank card. I contact Better Business bureau.
