Yes i got them i hate this service but im not gonna have it another mouth. They turn ur phone off with out notice and it's after hours. I'm not able to use this silly a** pay on line on phone system it sends me to fiance service department, then you have to wait til they open i hate this service everyone need live us cellular with they high a***s keep going up on ppl bills they want to get u one way or another

Yeah stay away from US Cellular! They are sheisty! They keep suspending my service so they can keep getting a $25.00 reconnect fee! Sometimes I'm only a few days late, and they cut me off. Other times they will go weeks, and then cut me off. These people are almost as bad as real scammers! They don't even give a warning before disconnections! I have had cell phones for well over a decade now, and with every single other company I was with, they ALWAYS gave me a heads up before they cut my phone off. But with these jer* offs, they must be hurting for money, because they will do anything they can do get as many $25 recon. fees out of you! Stay away from them!!

I received a call from this # this afternoon and upon answering I received a message asking me to call the number because they were having a problem processing an automatic payment to my US cellular account. I have had my number for 5 years and have never had a billing problem, or payment problem with US Cellular.  I will not call the number as I do not want any more unwanted calls on my cell phone and I know there were no problems. Caller ID listed it as a "Restricted Number" !!!!

I got this call 5 times in 5 minutes!!!  When I tried to call it back, it was a busy signal.  I called US Cellular and they assured me that my account was in good standings and didn't see anything that they would be calling about.  She said this is NOT one of their numbers.  THIS is a scam!!!

I have had us cellular now for about 4 years on my own. However my parents have had longer. I am seriously thinking of switching to a different company. I have had to pay two times in one month ever since they did that change with billing. And my bill is never the same can't budget it.

I have an account with this dreadful company that tells you you can have one contract and be done and earn points and upgrade your phone up to a year in advance only to have the upgrade a year early taken away the month before I am eligible, and now when I am close to the several month early upgrade they have changed the plan again and you no longer can upgrade without a contract.  Every time you upgrade you will now have a two year contract.  These two items were the only thing that made them different and better than other companies.   Now it will be one and done for me, when my contract is done, I will go elsewhere, can't trust the contracts they give you.

As to the call from this number....U.S. Cellular has a problem with their auto pay system, if you log in to your account, there is a message that they have cancelled all auto pays until after 12/31/13 and you will need to make payments in store or make one time payments online.  Another strike against them.   The amount that it shows I owe is high but they didn't take the October payment and want to have people pay the October and November bills at the same time.

I first received a text on 10/15/2013 @ 4:35pm saying
"U.S. Cellular was unable
to process your scheduled
payment.  Please contact
us at 888-939-3900 for
more information.

The following day, 10/16/2013 I got a phone call from a RESTRICTED NUMBER at 10:35am.  Naturally I let it go to voicemail because I rarely answer calls that I do not know, and I always refrain from answering restricted numbers.  The voicemail ended up being 3/4 cut off.....as if they were talking long before the beep, all that I got was ".....900.  Again, this is US Cellular."

Always be sure to verify numbers before calling them.  I checked the number and was obviously directed here, to where there were definitely many questionable reviews about this being a scam.  Instead, you can always dial 611 from your US Cellular phone to be connected directly to US Cellular- or you can go to the website, where they have many of their numbers listed, none of which are this 888-939-3900 number.  This is obviously a scam, probably in an attempt to get your billing information/bank info/credit card number.  The odd thing is that US Cellular's customers must have been breached in some way, because although I am with US Cellular, my number is actually a Verizon Wireless number that I had transferred to US Cellular, and I do in fact, have autopay/scheduled automatic payments with US Cellular, so this I wouldn't think would be random information someone would know- US Cellular accounts have been breached in some way IMO.......

The one time I forgot to pay my USC bill, I got a call and a recorded message asking me to call them about the past due matter. Paid and done. This number has been calling the past few days like crazy, twice a day, leaving NO message. Account is in good standing. This is not at all legit, imo.

I'm sorry that everyone is so annoyed with these calls, but they are away to advise you of the balance on your account being past due. Would you rather have your services shut off? If you don't have service with US Cellular, then my advice is to call the company up and ask what the deal is. If you're polite, they will be polite back and help you out.

I received a call from this phone number today. I did not answer the phone, and they left an automated message that I should call them back about my US Cellular account at this 888 number. Since that call came to my US Cellular phone I called 611 instead. The agent informed me this is a legitimate US Cellular number that connects to the financial division of their company. She also informed me the reason for the call was the fact I was several days late on my payment. I recently upgraded phones and apparently without or maybe with (and I just missed it) my knowledge they change my due date. I logged into my online account and sure enough it was past due. I made a payment online, and expect no more calls of this nature.

It boils down to this is the number on my account as the point of contact. This is not normally the cell phone with the service, but for whatever reason in my case it was (maybe because I kept my old number, instead of changing it). It can be any number that the person signing up for the account give to the agent, and as far as I can tell is never used except when a payment is missed.

If you receive these calls and you are not a US Cellular customer it may be that customers who have been with US Cellular for many years may have had that number when they signed up, but dropped it later for you to pick up and never changed their information with US Cellular. Additionally the customer may have intentionally given them the wrong contact information, and it just happened to be your number. Simply call them and inform them that no one at this number has a US Cellular account, and by law they should not contact you again.

My minor child started receiving these calls months ago, and just didn't mention it for a bit...today he got 6 of them, so he finally begged me to call US Cellular.  They said it was a valid number and someone had his number down as a contact number on their account...long story short, SOMEONE owes them money but it is not us.  They put his number on their do not call list which will stop the calls to his phone and apologized for the issue, they were very nice and helpful about it all.

Correction I've been a customer for over 10 years always payIng time. They didn't call the main number on the account nor was there an email or any type of correspondence about my oversight.

I a.m still upset about how this person spoke to me and pushed for money now totally ignoring anything I was telling her. It almost seemed as if she didn't even have my account info to reference but just wanted me tks pro die financial info over.the phone.

I found out last night that my husband was receiving these calls on his phone. I called the number and got a very rude person. My bill which I have set up on auto pay for a few years now had a cap with a purchase of a phone last month it went over that cap. The due date was 8/15 and 250 was paid leaving 118 due. Since it had been so long since I set it up I honestly didn't remember about the cap until realizing I had a balance due tonight. It was 8 days overdue.
The person I spoke with at that number was extremely rude and was pushing for me to gilberts e them financial info over the phone. I will never do that regardless of tbeir situation. As I told her I was making the payment via the web. Totally unprofessional. I realize  my entire bill was not paid on time for the first time in over 1600 years but this is no wah to treat a loyal customer!
I'm very disappointed that I have to deal with them for two more years as I've never had a second thought  about renewing before now. Not many if any of the other providers will harass their customers in this fashion.  Thumbs down us cellular.
