For any who doubt that the VBF is a 501 (c) 3 Non Profit, please go to vaanswers.org to view 990 & the State of South Carolina Seal as a bona fide non profit.   We use tele advocates to reach out to the thousands of un aware Veterans who may have been exploited.  I am sorry if your phone has rang more than once, but never has a VBF employee EVER try to sell a Veteran anything, and ALL of our services are 100% Free of charge.  So before you slam or make a statement for the world to read, I strongly urge you to do your research first...

Our Mission is to help Veterans find answers to their questions about VA Benefits in a timely manner.

The Foundation specializes in mortgage refinancing and VA Medical Benefit referrals. The VBF is not a bank and we do not lend money; we help veterans SAVE money by referring them to lending institutions that pass a stringent evaluation process and sign a Code of Conduct.  Our referral services generate loan savings which are passed onto the Veteran.  For all VA Medical Benefit questions, our Veteran Services Officers refer the veterans to professional resources for follow-on support.

VBF HELPS!
I spoke with Joanne, a Viet-Nam Veteran's spouse, and we were able to get in touch with their local Home depot to put a ramp and porch on the Veteran's home. This was all completed and set up for appraisal within 30 min of getting the Veteran on the phone. If you have needs for your home, or any other benefits, please call us today at 888-940-VETS!

FLORENCE, SC (WMBF) - A Korean War veteran was buried at the National Cemetery in Florence, after waiting days for military benefits to come in.Eighty-two-year-old Cesar E. Starnes Jr. served as a radar technician during the Korean War. He died in a Darlington nursing home. His 81-year-old wife was unable to attend his funeral services due to her dementia, and the remainder of his family is still trying to acquire the government benefits allowed for combat war veterans.Due to incorrectly-filed paperwork, the family isn't receiving any financial compensation for burial; thanks to the Veterans Benefit Foundation in Myrtle Beach, Starnes was laid to rest on Sept. 16.But the bill from the funeral is still not paid. If you can donate, contact 888-940-VETS to contact the Myrtle Beach office of the Veteran Benefit Foundation.Copyright 2013 WMBF News. All rights reserved

At one point in time they were supposedly aligned with the National Disabled Veterans Business Council. Spoke to the president of the NDVBC, which BTW they are a 501 C non profit, and he is in the process of suing them for fraud. He never gave them permission to use their name. They lied to thousands of vets and their spouses claiming they were a 501 C non profit. So now its different????

sir ur numbers are misconstrued. 80 percent of VETS that are homeless did not come from foreclosure. u might want to do more research on that last statement  and it does smell beautiful not to be homeless. they are just in business to refinance period. that how they make their money. which is not a bad thing. just how they do it, misrepresent and lie is the unethical part.

not trying to do a disservice to the my fellow VETS just trying to protect them. If any Vet having issue, I strongly suggest they go DAV and talk to them. Atleast they are credible and know what they are talking about! And I can make up any website, add any name I want, so their website means nothing to me. And yes they called me for the 3rd time, sooner or later they will get the message that I don't fall for their scam. I'm starting to look forward to their calls, it's a little amusing that they can say lies and not laugh about it. Bottom line this company is out to get ur benefits and money one way or the other tell them to pack sand!

They are a legit not for profit!!  They helped my friend, a retired Vet, file to increase his disability rating.
They helped my friend's friend with survivor benefits.  Look at their website and facebook page  they have a very impressive list of people on their board of directors.  They are helping Veterans, and active members with almost everything!!

Anyone who says they are not legit is doing a disservice to military members and veterans who may need help and because of negative comments from ignorant people won't get it!! Oh, and by the way, they never asked for a donation and I don't think they even accept donations!!

You are telemarketing!!! I have reported you! You are NOT a 501C non profit. I have gotten on to the website and guess what, your not there! I know who you are and what you are! You were based out of Jacksonville, NC and were under a different name. After other research of the old company name, many of your old employees filed grievances against you and your old scam because they weren't paid. What a shame that people that once trusted you were thrown away like trash. Goes to show what kind of person you really are!

They called me again also!  I reported them. They are NOT a 501C nonprofit. They are out for one thing...to refinance your mortgage! That is it!!! They CANNOT help with anything else! And to tell a veteran or their spouse that there is no closing cost is BS! They add it to the backend of your mortgage. Like I said earlier, I dealt with them once before. I actually fell for it when they were under a different name and in a different state. Thank God I didn't go through with it. I saw it in BLACK and WHITE that they DID charge me closing costs!! I backed out of it and went through my local bank. Best decision I ever made!  I hope that veterans and their spouses research this before they fall for it. SCAM SCAM SCAM!!!

You are a scam. no matter how u sugar coat it. You are in business to make money, which is fine. Just not the ethical way of doing it. Even if i was in a arm that adjust 5 points per month, (shame on me) i would not use ur company. There are legit companies out there, urs just not one of them.

Once again they call, this time my cell phone. didn't leave a message. but since their tactics is to keep calling to wear me down, they will again call me. VBF is a scam. Department of Veterans does not, by law, "team" up with any business. They do not co-exist or partner with any business. They do not give out names or phone numbers of Veterans. And once again they lie, misrepresent themselves! They say they are here to give us information and oh btw they can refinance for a fee. Please shipmates don't fall for this!  and Sir Bedevere i agree with you, If it looks like a scam, sounds like a scam......and Ken(VA) i like shooting wolf's, either in sheep clothing or not. Come'on shipmates it's a scam! they are very silver toungue.

It would appear that there is an "American Experience Veterans Benefits Foundation" and a "Veterans Benefits Foundation of Oklahoma" that are both legitimate 501 (c) 3 registered organizations, but there is nothing called simply the "Veterans Benefit Foundation".
http://www.taxexemptworld.com/search.asp?type ... fits+Foundation

There *is* evidence of people using the name "Veterans Benefit Foundation" in connection with scams:

I have dealt with these people before, and I know for a FACT this is a scam! I started off with the same phone call, and continued to get lied to and no one would really answer my questions. I would NEVER trust these people. They were really after just refinancing my mortgage. They weren't able to help with any other veteran concerns.  Furthermore, this "company" was under a different name at one point in time, and guess what!!!!.....that supposedly was a non profit also! After researching, they were NOT! Cant believe they would try calling me again!

For your information Sir,

The Veterans Benefits Foundation is a 501 (c) 3 Non Profit and can be verified through the IRS.   The VBF is NOT telemarketing in any way shape or form for Mortgage companies.   The VBF is A CHARITY that delivers Veteran Service Announcements 100% Free of Charge.  I simply ask you sir, how can a mortgage company offer assistance with VA Disability Benefits, Claims or Appeals, through the use of Accredited Veteran Service Officers and MET V (Mentoring, Educating and Training Veterans).   And one more thing, thank you for your Service.

Telemarketer
Called me tonight for the first time.  UNLESS they are a charitable organization, performing a legitimate survey, or representing a political organization campaigning, THE CALL IS ILLEGAL!  Selling mortgage companies VA Loans or other is TELEMARKETING and I am reporting this call to the FCC & and DNC registry as I add their number to PhoneTray to block any further attempts of misuse of my home telephone line.  I do NOT pay for this line to have it bombarded by unwelcome, unsolicited, and illegal telemarketers.

IT'S A SCAM!  IT'S ILLEGAL!

I have done research on the Veteran Benefits Foundation. They never once said they were with the V.A. They helped me get out of my hybrid loan. There really is people standing by to help. Come to find out they are branching out to other states to help other vets. Look around at all of the homeless people in your city, town, state. 80% of them are homeless vets due to these arms.

Not a fraud, smells beautiful to not be homeless, acts they help people keep there homes.

NOT A FRAUD
