Amanda Perez called my ex husband yesterday and had him and his mother all in a tizzy saying he had 2 felony charges if he did not pay a bill. He called me for money and I immediately suspected something was up. So I got her number and called her and told her I needed valid documentation about this debt before I would help pay for it. Amanda stated she would email it over. I received a half assed document that looked like my 10 year old had put it together. When I called her out on it, she stated that she could not give me a physical address and I could just give her a credit card number. I then called a friend that is a detective and had him follow up on it. I then called the company she said she was representing and they have no knowledge of this woman or her company. DO NOT TAKE HER SERIOUSLY. file a police report on her and tell her to cease and desist.

I received a phone call today, she couldn't give any information other than felony charges will be brought against my mother. The lady's name was Amanda Perez calling from 1-888-947-2837, she is claiming to work for the FBI in their Check Fraud Unit. When asked to talk to a manager, she could not produce one. I made a report to the Police Dept and FCC.

It is against the law to represent yourself as an officer of the law ( any branch) You should report this to the FBI with the name and number

They promisesd that they could get a settlement before turning the cases in to the court if I agreed to pay 1200.00 .

Debt collector using illegal tactics. She called and said her name was Amanda perez. She claimed to be with the FBI and that a warrant was going to be issued if I didn't pay some debt. I told her that it was illegal for a debt company to act as a government agency and she hung up. My advice, try to record the conversation then report them to the REAL police and FCC.
