I got same call today and said I will win one of the 4 prices guaranteed. AB PROMOTIONS REP.told me that I filled out a raffle form while back. I didn't filled out a any raffle form. He said, I have to be married or have a girlfried to qualified. Also, she has to come with me at 1919 HIGHLAND AVENUE, SUITE 210, LOMBARD, ILLINOIS. We have to show driver licence and show your credit card. We think this is scam. WHY DO YOU HAVE TO SHOW YOUR CREDIT CARD TO ANY STRANGER. He also said the raffle is today and tomorrow only. If I won the price what does it matter if I have a girlfriend or married or not...

Got a call from " Omar" from this number stating I won a drawing..  His Ext 101
He said I had until tomorrow to pick up one of four prizes at  AB Promotions 1919 Highland Ave 3210 Lombard IL.
He stated again and I owed nothing.
He did not ask me for information other than when tomorrow I would like to come in and do a drawing.
Then he said my spouse or partner had to be with me to not be disqualified.
Then he said I needed to call him back at the above number to tell him when I would like to come in.

Beware, the nonsense out there is ridiculous and if you are aware, you won't get taken for a ride!
Blessings~

I got that too!  They even told me to win, I had to go to the Holiday Inn in Washington, D.C..  I also had to be in a relationship and between the ages of 28 and 59.  WTF?  They started yelling at me because I said I wasn't in that age range, and I didn't give them my actual age.

I don't fill out forms to win prizes.  Ever.  Which means they are lying.  Strike one.

I am on the Do Not Call list and they still called me, which means they are breaking the law.  Strike two.

And yes, I did notice that those who posted here that they have won great prizes all have poor English skills.

That makes three strikes.  You're out.

I got this call too. If fact they called me a couple of times, the caller id showed 661-748-0240 and a name of SKYPEUSER. When I answered they said hello, hello but then hung up. Luckily for me they called back today and I got the same story as everyone else. Strong accent, same prizes, stipulations and way to receive my "free prize".

I played along and listened just to waste their time, knowing it was a scam from the beginning. The claim code he gave me was supposed to contain the last 3 digits of my phone number but it was not. I gave a fake name and they still didn't say anything.

The best part of this whole thing was reading this page. I really can't understand why someone would go to such efforts and not at least hire one person who can speak and write english to post to this and other sites. For sure, the bad grammar is very consistent with how a foreigner would sound.

Thanks for "doing the needfull".

No, joa pascar said s/he got a nebulous "prize", did not say a TV. This scammy offer is somewhere between a timeshare/travel_club_membership presentation (why you have to show up at their location) costing several $thousands and an outright scam. Please note they did not say "free" prize. You'll find out you have to *PAY* money to get your prize.

Totally unreliable from the first second. The guy who called sounds like the guy I usually call to get chinese food from. Usually drawings and stuffs like that they would already have your full name down with your phone number. And by saying names AREN'T necessary to be included they just revealed themselves as scammers. Most likely these people will trick you into going to that location for nothing.

Stop b***s***ting. You clearly know you didn't win a damn thing but you just want to lie and try to make people believe this crap. First show evidence that you wont something. Boiler room words don't matter.

'Kathy' you can now claim to be successful at something. You have managed to, single-handedly, shoot this number down in flames. Tell the boss-man that he can now spoof another number because your ineptitude has resulted in this one being made 'Kaput'.
Have a nice life you fraud. Karhma's a bi*** and she has the nasty habit of catching up with you.

yeah this is bs.  I got this call (identical) and I know for a fact that I did not fill out any such coupon in the past year; I haven't shopped at walmart or best buy more than a handful of times and i've certainly never entered any such drawing.  Not to mention I'm single for more than a year and 21, and yet the guy "knew" that I was in a relationship.

I got the same call from AB promotions. First thing you have to realize is NOBODY has to go to a meeting room to "pick up your prize". When they mentioned a 3 day-4 night vacation, that both spouses must attend, AND you must make over 50K per year, I knew right away this was a timeshare promotion.
People, don't let them fool you. ALWAYS research the business online before falling for their claims. This will save you plenty of time.
Regarding the earlier comments written by so-called winners:  They were most likely written in another language and poorly translated OR written by the same foreigners from AB promotions that spoke with you. I say this because none of the "winners" mentioned that they had to listen to a sales pitch for timeshares.

got a call  too, similar to other callers. First of all, their number is unavailable. Comapny says you have have to be "married" to go claim your prize, I never heard of a company where if you win a prize you have to be married, what's the catch ?

Why would you take your wife to an unkown address from unkown company, clearly foolish and unsafe. BBB RATING IS F: http://www.bbb.org/us/Find-Business-Reviews/name/ab+promotion/

I also received a call from these people 12-1-2012 and can only imagine that everyone 'wins' the vacation so they will pay to take their partner with them. That may explain the weird stipulation that you must be in a relationship to get your 'prize'. This is certainly a scam in any case.

I just got this call too, 6:30pm on a Sunday night 11/18/12 from (661)-748-0240. The guy in a strong middle-eastern accent tells me that last year in "Christmas Month" I filled out a Toshiba survey "in a store in your state" and was chosen out of over 5,000 entries. I would win either a 32" LCD tv, $2,500, a 3 day, 2 night vacation to one of over 40 destinations, or a Ford Escape. If I didn't want the truck, I could  take $25,000 cash. I asked them what store I filled out the entry in, he gave me a list of a couple. I asked what the name on the entry was, he said I didn't need to have a name on the form. I asked what state and he said "Rolling Meadows." I said I don't live anywhere near Rolling Meadows, he said a bunch of stuff I couldn't understand. He gave me a business name, address, and website:  AB Promotions, 1895 Rohlwing Rd,Ste. A, Rolling Meadows, IL 60008. WWW.Shopping-Promotions.com. Then I thought he said he needs to verify I'm either over 28 and have a spouse. I say yes cause I am 28. He transfers me to his manager Don Levingston, who also has a think middle-eastern accent. Don tells me I could come Tuesday at 5:45pm or 7:45pm to "draw for your prize with your own hand." Don then asks for my spouse's name that will claim the prize with me. I have never been married and am not dating someone and after a long run-around I understand that I must have someone claim the prize with me. I ask how it is I can qualify to win a prize if I don't meet the stipulations to win it? His response is "so you are single?" I say yes. He says "ok goodbye" and hangs up. To my knowledge 661 area code is NOT a Chicago or Rolling Meadows area. I notice that everytime I move and fill out a change of address with the post office a get scam calls and letters like these for several months. I am on the Do Not Call Registry, but I get the feeling that that is just as much of a scam as these calls cause it seems to do nothing to prevent these calls and I fill out a complaint on their website after each occurrence. I even tried to file a complaint with the FCC, but the woman I talked to says they don't take complaints from civilians who are fraudulently and unexpectedly trying to be scanned by malicious people. Such a shame that nothing can be done to prevent this.
