In an East Indian accent, the garbled voice indicated that had requested additional education. I never requested any such thing. Why would I, I'm 80 years old.

They keep calling me to tell me the same thing. He tells me that my computer keeps alerting them of problems and he's calling to help fix them.
| DB 2014-06-19 13:38:52 Unknown |
Said they were calling from Microsoft and there was a critical issue with my computer that needs to be fixed. I told him there was no issue with my computer and I have not reported anything. He said this was detected a few days ago from my internet service provider and it was critical, blah blah blah. His name was Michael Johnson. English was very broken and phone line had static.

Financial resources and was told they are trying to scam people. I reported them to 1-877-382-4357. Please don't fall for their nonesense!

YES!!! I have just under 4 years in direct banking as well as 12 + years in direct mortgage lending with personal contacts into ALL 3 major Credit Bureau Agencies. I tell this to who ever wants to listen, not to sound like a know it all. Rather help give some insight on this scam and others. First no major card agency works with any third-party company to help distribute US grants. Second, ANY government grant that you may or may not be entitled to will also be controlled by a true US Government Agency that will ALWAYS have a ".gov" website. Please please do not trust or believe anything these people say or promise.

I don't answer but they call all the freaking time. There was one time I did answer and it was medical questions, but I'm not sure it was the same line. Either way I want them to stop calling me.

They told me that my application was approved. I told them I didn't fill out a application. Then the story changed and said the government was giving me free money. I said I wasn't interested. He said he never heard anyone say no to free money. Well guess I wasn't born yesterday! I knew it was a scam from the beginning, I just wanted to see what they were going to say. You could hear other people laughing in the background. I eventually hung up. I'm very uneasy that they know my name.

They call 4 - 5 times a day including weekends. They never leave a voice mail. When I call the number back an automated voice says there is noone available to take my call.

They called today and said they worked for the Federal Government and had a $6000. grant for me. I needed to pay a one time fee of $3.87. Is that just to get my credit card info?

When you call the number back, it's a mumbled automated name like Workas and pressing zero for the "operator" gets you the voicemail for "Losa" who doesn't call you back. When they call the house, they indicate they're calling about a loan application. SCAM.
| Paula 2013-12-03 08:13:24 Unknown |
do not want this call
