Have been receiving auto-dialer hangup phone calls on my cell phone from this number over the last two weeks. Reported them to the FCC.
Then yesterday, I received a post card (Mailed from Tampa, FL, Permit # 100) in the snail mail from:
Dealers Warranty
745 Friedens Road, Suite 201
St. Charles, MO 63303
1-888-963-6723
with "FINAL NOTICE", "Factory Warranty Expiration", "Call us immediately with your exact miles and VIN#..." written on it. That's pretty strange as neither of my wife and I two vehicle warranties are set to expire anytime soon.
Also, wouldn't they already have my VIN #'s if in fact they were our actual auto manufacturer? õ_O
After reading the comments here, I think a nice certified snail mail letter to my local State Attorney General's office inquiring about this obvious scam might do some good, as well as sending the same letter to the Postmaster General, as this scammer obviously has a postal bulk mailer permit and is obviously breaking the law.

800notes.com has lots of good info on these people. Apparently the subject of a MO attorney general investigation/prosecution. I'll see if the Florida attorney general knows anything about it.
Permit #100, Tampa Florida. We have travel clubs, now selling an extended warranty.
Got the same post card in West Virginia today.

Phew! I was a step away from getting jacked. I kept getting automated calls from this "Federal Auto Protection" place. I finally answered and they directed me to an operator that sent me to another "warranty specialist". They were able to identify the year and make of my vehicle. The specialist DJ needed my vin to get a complete history of my vehicle and to check if my vehicle was eligible for extended warranty coverage. After giving me numbers of 5 year or 100k full bumper to bumper for only $3475.00 with the option for 0% $495.00 down. The guy sent me to the "financial officer" and he gave me a speel that informed me if I didn't accept at the end of the phone call they would be unable to give me coverage at a later date! RIGHHHT!
(Sorry for the length, but I was totally caught off guard and I think of myself as a savvy consumer. So much for that self-proclamation!)
He then sent me back to JD and he gave me info about the coverage and whether I would like to pay with visa,mc, etc... In the mean time they kept asking if I was retired? I should have known by these inquiries that something was off. Still unsuspecting, I said that $3800.00 was a little too much and I would have to check with my spouse. They then sent me back to another "Floor Specialist" and he told me since I was a first time owner of this vehicle that he could offer me the warranty for $2879.00 with $150.00 and $113.71 per month! Wow now that sounded like a good deal. What an IDIOT I was! Fortunately God was telling me to check on their credentials online. So I asked for some credentials and they sent me to this website www.consumercaredirect.com where it initially looked legitimate until I perused a little further and realized there was no number to call and the information was generic stuff they probably copied and pasted.
At this time I had them on hold and started googling their name and address and yadda yadda. This finally turned on the SCAM light in my brain. I just hung up on them and they tried calling back once but I did not answer.
The name they are using is Federal Auto Protection they go through the website I posted above.
They are obviously targeting Seniors but will take your money no matter who you are.
Don't let them get you!

The president and CEO of Smart Choice Protection (Frank S. Amos) has entirely relocated from St. Louis to Alpharetta GA as of June 2008. I have his personal address and cell phone number. From what I can find on the web, apparently they're now running a new more sophisticated scam-- on roofing products/installations-- Whose asphalt shingles fail in the first five or ten years?? Care to try to collect whatever they might be charging after depreciation for "normal wear and tear"?? Pretty slimy business premise... But a fool is born every minute. It's a shame so much deception preys on fears of the elderly, under the guise of "protection".

I would like to take these @#!*&$#@! cards and stick it up their ___ where the sun don't shine. I've been receiving these postcards as well. I had a similiar experience with Warranty Activation HQ out of St Louis. I got the Better Business Bureau involved and after a lot of song and dance on the company's part, (who is not a BBB member of course) I got removed from their list. Trouble is, I can't find the BBB for St Charles or do St Louis handle them as well?

I received one of these postcards from Michigan. I don't even own a car. The card contained a special code. Why do they send those to people who don't even have a car or want a warranty. I guess they want to get caught.
This is what their return address reads:
Dealers Warranty

My 83 year old mother got the same 'Dealers Warranty - Final Notice - Factory Warranty Expiration' post card too although her GM warranty is up on 9-26 so she is thinking GM sent it to her. Glad she passed it on to me.
| Mike 2008-09-21 15:37:27 Unknown |
Just got the post card in Phoenix. Looks like they changed the wording a bit... now it doesn't say anything about the existing warranty expiring soon. It just says it's the "FINAL NOTICE to extend the warranty coverage on your vehicle".

Got another card in California from:
Dealers Warranty
745 Friedens Rd., Ste. 201
St. Charles MO 63303
Presorted
First-Class Mail
U.S. Postage
Paid
Permit #100
Tampla, FL
It says, "FINAL NOTICE Factory Warranty Expiration" and to call 1-888-963-6723 with my exact mileage and VIN# to buy a bridge. I have my numbers on the Do Not Call Registry so this card is just another loophole. If you work for this company then you should either quit whenever possible or walk into the middle of the cubicle farm and An Hero yourself.

Total B***s***! Got an unsolicited call asking for my car's VIN #, -I told the salesman, "You're the one who should have the info if you say my warranty is about to expire!" He then hung up on me. Several weeks later I got one of those "FINAL NOTICE" cards.
SCAM,, SCAM, SCAM!!!! Nasville, Tenn.

NY -Same as all the others, got postcards saying FInal Notice and all that crap. My husband didnt buy a new car. I did and my warrenty is fine. Im tired of these people. They really need to find a legal way to make money like getting a real job.

I would enter my first four letters into their voicemail as F. U. C. K. It probably wont connect to anyone but if they have any brains they might get the point of this! Or use a common last name like Smith or Johnson or Brown. Then just stay on the line as long as possible and dont say anything in order to cost them more phone charges. Dont call from a traceable line as they might claim you are harassing them...LMAO but they might. They can call you but dont call them. I say screw that. Whats good for the goose is good for the gander.

I got a postcard from these b*****ds, asking me to call 888-963-6723 and given them my VIN. Their voicemail lets you leave a message only if you can enter the first four letters of someone's last name. On a lucky guess I learned that they have a "Rodriguez" there.

I keep getting a post card from this company, cell phone and home calls repeatedly for over a year now. I reported them to no avail.

I have been receiving numerous phone calls from Warranty Services ie my vehicle warranty is about to expire, etc. During one phone call I briefly talked with one of their "reps". I demanded to know where they are located. Her reply was simply Orange County CA. She could not give me a physical address. After reeming her out for a brief moment she told me she would take my number off of their calling list. Calls come on a regular basis from numbers such as 303 524-7235; 802 651-6889; 870 633-1697;702 399-5868

Hit them where their pocket book is... call the 800 numbers: Their phone is 1-800-649-1856. Also known as Dealer Services 1-800-607-9350. hit 5 to get in a nonstop loop about the national do not call list, and just let it run over and over and over for a few hours to run up their charges...assuming you have another line you can use in the meantime.... just my two cents..

Received same post card today, same markings as Ronin. They seem to be attempting to scam West Virginia residents now. We'll forward it to the attorney general. The scammers will get a Rowan v. USPS statement from me as well.
The scammers are out in force this year. :-(

I don't see that the complaint form would be used just to complain about receiving the postcard if you haven't done or had any contact with these jerks. The form appears to really be used when you've actually had some sort of dealings with someone.

Missouri Attorney General's office is aware of them. Fill out the form here, and attach copies of the post card (front and back) and mail it in. They are quite familiar with the scum at "Dealers Warranty". They know that they're a sleazy and fraudulent operation. Every added complaint helps to get that scum off the face of the earth.
http://ago.mo.gov/consumercomplaint.htm
Might be fun to hit them with a taste of their own medicine, though. When Alan Ralsky (known as the "spam King") had his information listed online, people harrassed by his sleazy tactics signed him up for every postal mailing campaign on the planet. Maybe 745 Friedens Rd, Ste 201, St Charles, MO, 63303 needs to start receiving as much garbage as they put out.
