THAT'S CRAZY BECAUSE  THE SAME THING HAPPENED TO ME ... I THOUGHT IT WAS BOGUS LISTENING TO PPL ON THIS WEBSITE .. BUT I GUESS EVERYONE HAS THEIR OWN OPINION ON THE CALLS HEY RECEIVE

i thought this place was b.s myself but i got a call saying i was being served papers and i ignored it , a couple weeks later i really got served and instead of paying only th 150 that i owed on a credit card, i ending up getting sued for 2000.00 ... i should have paid when i had the chance! i officially hate credit cards

this most certainly IS a scam! getting calls for my brother who has NEVER lived at this address or had this phone number. Hmmmmm.... Seems real shady to me!!! They have a way of looking up OLD debt that has already been taken care of. And then just harass anybody they can trying to make a buck. They are the scum. NOT their victims!!

My daughter received a call from them a couple of days ago. She gave me a file number and a phone number. I called the place and they asked me for my ending four social. I said no way. The person on the phone said it was for third party disclosure law. i hung up. Looked them up and found out they are a Legit Collection Agency . Found there website www.Stone-Whitman.com and it tells you directly that they will have to identify yourself. So called back and  did. They transferred me to and agent that was handling my case. I believe it was Mr.Copper.  Very professional and stated i had an old debt with Citibank. I told them i would not pay anything in till he could prove it. so he gave me the account number i contacted citibank and they sold the account to another agency. Long story short. It ended up right back at this agency and it was still on my credit report. I called him back and tried to work out a deal and settled for alot less then i originally owed. Hopefully it helps my credit.

Called me to say I owe money on a credit card and I do not recogonize this debt. I said if it was my debt I can not afford to pay it. They mentioned taking legal action and said could only take payments given electronically no checks or money orders. Never sent me any proof of this debt and insisted they did.They have my current address and last 4 digits of my ss #  Calling and harassing family members.They said last payment was made in 2000! It is now 2013! I believe this is a scam!!

Just got a call from this 888-964-0811 saying I owe Mastercard and they are going to file judgement on me if I dont pay it but I have NEVER owed a Mastercard! LOL So I told them all that and also the time they say I had it I was NOTABLE or in the public eye to even be able to use it. So Has anyone else had a call from this # saying it was over a credit card debt that you never had? I told them to bring it on. So they said they would leave my file open for 30 days JUST in case I change my mind. Not happening! So they might as well go ahead and close it.

These f****r's tryed to get me saying that I owed $1800 to a fleet bank for many years and if I paid them now they woulden't sue me. That if I didn't pay I would be going to jail. I told them I never opened any account at fleet bank that they had the wrong person. So they started getting real cocky with me saying if I diden'tpay them now that they would be here with cops to arest me. Befor calling them I googled there number 1888-964-0811 and saw so many of you were being scamed by the same ppl. So I let them talk there s*** for awile then I let them have it. I let them know to please come to my house to serve me papers so I can f*** you f**s up! I let him know that I new he was a scamer. It was like he was shocked cause after that he started to stutter. Had nothing to say... Watch these a**-holes. There pieces of s***! Thanks for lisioning. I am now going on facebook to let all know the number n to watch out of these scamers...

They are trying to collect on a debt that is not mine. Very rude people. As soon as they find out your last 4 digits of the social is not the one they collecting they are soooo sorry, I am really tired of this and not sure how to stop it.

they have been passing around my debit card number(which is cancelled) and is now trying to collect for a $200 card i think,not sure for a girl who had declared bankcrupcy! got her out of my life,gave them her address and her the bill. that had to be 15 yrs ago! i never,ever recived any bill !! they took $650 out of my acct(my bad) disabled-10 major sugeries-18 health issues on ssi,no reciept,now today trying to collect same fraud,BUT called my 87 yr old father who is loseing his memory,not me,did not call,but i did!!mess with me but leave my father alone,he gets so upset,disabled but wish i could get my hands on this bottom feeder with no respect!! hes on this list hes next the coward and thief,sorry so long to many meds and eating xanax because this worm likes to upset old helpless people,YES BIG SCAM!!!!!

I received a call from 1-8889640811 and tried to call them back busy signal , I think its a scam

Ask them for there There licence number under Florida Offices of Financial Regulations. They are a licence collection agency, and Yes you should find out who you are paying. But remember with collections this company is Legit but who they sell your account to might not be. So i would i just clear up all old debts so im nt haunted in the future. I cleared it up with them and they sent a copy of PAID in full to the credit agencies. Hey i trust to clean up my credit.

They have to prove it first, we're not going to pay every person who calls and claims we owe them money.

This is a collection agency, Pay your bills. Don't believe that just because you don't pay your bills they go away, i looked theese people up under florida office of finacial regulation, they are licenced and accredited. Don't believe people that don't wanna pay there bills. SCUM BAG Debtors, cause 46 billion dollars in debt a year. Lets not ruin this for our children. step up to the plate and pay your s*** back. I just recieved a call from a 408-335-4562 number this is a scam Please do not give any of your personal info to these people the lady said that her name was Rebecca the caller talks so fast and that  is part of there scam she wanted to speak to my husband when i told her he was not home and that i was his wife she wanted to know what would be a good time to call him back i ask her what it was about she said that because of the privcy law she could not tell me but then said that since i was his wife that he need to call Stone Whitman at 1-888-964-0811 before 6pm tonite,I knew that this was a scam we went through this same thing a couple years ago.It makes me so mad to know that so many people fall victims to these scams.PLEASE PLEASE IF YOU ARE ON SOCIAL MEDIA LETS SPREAD THE WORD AND HOPEFULLY WE WILL SAVE SOMEONE FROM BECOMING A VICTIM,AND NEVER GIVE OUT YOUR PERSONAL INFO IF THIS IS A REAL DEBT THEY ARE GONNA HAVE ALL THAT INFO EVEN IF THEY TELL YOU THAT THEY DON'T THEY ARE TRYING TO GET YOU TO GIVE IT TO THEM.Sorry this is such a long message i just want people and especially the elder people to know what i went through and it went on for several months before it stopped they have started back today but i know on this go around how to handle it this time ,also after i say this i will shut up,Please tell all elderly people about this, they will bully them into giving all there personal info  they will tell them they will be arrested if they don't pay this debt that is when the victim will give it to them the (scammers) most of the time they can get there checking account info and that is when they can clean there account out.So spread the word if you will Thank You

Keep getting called from this number saying they have to deliver "courier documents" to me this week.  the documents do not show up but they keep calling.  They do not tell me why they are calling but seem to be trying to get my information.  When I do not give any info they hang up!

I agree wholeheartedly that this is a scam. I received a call today regarding an account that was charged off in 2004 and was settled in 2007. This company is stating they have attempted to send me documents indicating a civil lawsuit. It's a scam!!

Got another phone call from these scam artists.   This time they're cross-referencing old public address records.  They seem to be in collusion with this phone number:

Call me constantly saying they have legal action/paperwork but can't give me a docket number.  Will give me their b***s*** case number which isnt valid at the court or with the sheriff.  Please do not give these people your information or information about anyone they ask about.  It's likely a group of bottom feeding hackers that pulled some of our information in one of the recent hacks.

This is a total SCAM. Do not give them any info. They took over $700 from me on an account that is 13 years old. Do your research before giving account info,.

everyone that has received theses calls from franklin moss and associates need to go to your police dept and report them and eventually they will have to check into this. call the police now it is a scam

Just got off the phone with the sheriff's office. There is no summons coming my way, and I did report the details. I don't think this is an ID theft scam, but DO NOT give these crooks any info! I really think that it's one of those strong arm companies that buy old debt, and scare people into paying on it. Know the statutes of limitations of your state when it comes to debt. If you make contact with these A-holes don't be afraid to tell them to jam it. Ideally, if it doesn't come up on caller-ID, let it go to voice mail. I'm sure they scam 80 year old widows out of millions a year. Don't be a victim.

SCAM ALERT
Notify your bank, credit card company. etc and keep an eye on your credit report.  I'm not sure if it is possible but, you may want to contact the credit bureaus to see if they can put an alert on your information.

A phone call was made to me and someone in my office took the message from Rebecca of civil procedure division.  She wanted me return her call before 6pm, also left a case number for delivery of papers.  Have no idea who this person is and what its about but there are people who seem to get names from a database and violate consumers rights.  Really think this is a scam to make you pay unnecessary payments.

A relative got a call from this number trying to get info about me the person gave her a case #,she said she had legal doucuments she needed to forward to me,my relative told the lady she did not have any contact info for me and asked that her number be removed for thir call list.

A relative got a call from this number saying they were trying to get ahold of me and left a case # and wanted me to call them by 4pm so they can deliver documents. My relative told them to take their number off the lst and they said they couldn't do that. Persons name was Rebecca Lynd.

Its a scam of some sort

I live in Missouri. A relative of mine called me saying they recieved a message for me with a case # to contact. Also said was civil prodcedures. Said I owed over $3000 to bank of delaware. Said they had mailed documents to my home with no response from. I advised had recieved nothing. Said I needed to pay right away as it was going to litagation today and could not be stopped unless paid.

This is obviously a scam.
