Called from 507-159-7435 left a "case number" of 2012-r81352 and to call 888-964-6592 and said this was in ref. to a case and her company was "burgman sloane" (with the last e).  did some research...the co. does not exist.  called the number...it's the same woman all the time who won't give info unless you give her a social.  i told her to just send the papers and she hung up on me.  further attempts to call back are unsuccessful.  this is a scam

I have been receiving 15 - 20 calls per week for more than 4 months on my cell phone asking for my former daughter-in-law.  They say they have legal documents to deliver to her.  I repeatly tell them I am not her, I have provided them her phone number and address but they are too damn lazy to change the information in their system and continue to harass me!

Smh its sad how ppl really complain about this pay your f****ng  debt and to the sister in law you took ro much time out of your day to write that lifetime story

they called, and stated something about a case that doesn't exist.... waste of breathe... BBB needs to take care of them...

Just received call from Bergman Sloan & associates. 888-964-6592. I called the number and it went straight to voice mail.  Another SCAM!   Person stated that papers were going to be sent to me.  This is the second time this scam has hit me.  The first was from Stone Whitman & assoc.  I have reported this scam to the BBB.  Wish I did have paperwork, maybe it would help find these people so I could take some kind of legal action against them! Don't fall for it;  S C A M !!!!!!!!

They've called twice from different numbers asking if I'll be home to receive 'legal documents'. Sounds like a collection agency scam. They called from a 714-195-2429 number that comes up as a number you can't call back. Orange County California number, but they say they are in the next Pennsylvania town from me.

I got a call, the woman wanted to speak to my husband who had a stroke last year. This woman told me of a document that would come the next day and could tell me no more. I called the # 1-888-964-6529 and it went to mailbox and it was full!!!  I really can not take any more stress!!!!!!

My sister-in-law received a call from these people at Bergman, Sloan & Assoc. asking for me.  She confirmed that I was her sister-in-law and she thought it had something to do with my father's estate, who passed away recently.  They gave her this number for me to call: 1-888-964-6592.  They also gave her a case# 2012R77003.  She called me and gave me the information.  She checked her phone and the number they were calling from was: 1-716-185-2254.
I called the 888 number and a woman answered who said she was a receptionist.  She gave me the name of the company as Bergman, Sloan & Assoc., but would not tell me what kind of company it was. When I refused to verify her my social security number, she hung up on me.  I called her back and threatened to turn her into the attorney generals office.  She told me the only one who could give me more information was the case worker and she could not put me through to him unless I verified my social security number.  Then she put me on hold.  After a few minutes, I hung up.  The only way they could have gotten my sister-in-laws phone number and made the connection between the two of us is through our AT&T phone account.  We are on the same plan.

UPDATE: They did not "serve me" yesterday as the person on the phone told me they were going to, so it is safe to assume this is either some type of scam or a very pathetic attempt to get you in a dialogue with a collector over old debt.

I just got a call from (888)964-6592 and they were a total joke said they sent me a letter to some address in Pheonix Arizona back in January and since I didn't respond they were proceeding with legal action! I live in Oklahoma, so I asked them to provide me with the documentation of the debt being mine and I would gladly pay. He said as soon as I pay the settlement price of $514.00 he would gladly send me the paperwork. I told him to go F*** himself. And he said that they would see me in court! I said good luck you better find me first since you can't even get my address right.....lol They are a complete and total SCAM!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Did anyone actually get served like they said they were going to?  I got a call from these jokers today saying they are serving me Monday.  I have 12 year old debt I never paid that is way past statute of limitations for any legal action.  I called the number they gave me and it went staight to voice mail.  Looks like a total scam.  I'm tired of these bottom feeders trying to collect on very old debt when they know they have no teeth.  The only thing they can do is try to scare people into paying.

They called me the other day and said that they had papers for me When I asked what far she said she couldn't open the sealed docs but to call some number....well I told her to call me back and leave a message because I was driving....she still yapped on and I hung up no call back til today from a new number

they said it was from a credit card from ct or RI from ten years ago also. I never lived in thise states.

I got the call from 904-135-2429 (I think thats a noth east florida number) same thing we need to deliver documents Appears to be supoena. This woman already had my ss number. then transfered to some guy and he. said it must be a case of mistaken identy. that they were looking for someone with the same name as me in ct. he rattled off anothers ss number i said no thats not mine but the woman had mine. he said hold let me confirm. Then came back on the line and said he has no case for me in his office.
Tomorrow I'll call the FBI. or monday anyway

I recieve a call stated they need to talk to me about legal documents & to call before 6pm at 18889646592 & & when call mail box full & when called the # back they called the number back it said metro pcs that is a big scam they are doing now watch out

I just received the same call at 5:30 pm. The caller told me that I was going to be summoned to go to court. I had to call Bergman, Sloan and Associates. When I asked him what this was about all he can tell me is he couldn't tell and the record is sealed. He told me to call them today, which I'm not going to do. I'm glad I looked this number up. I filed a Chapter 13 in 2011 and I always check my credit report and I know exactly who I owe. That call was a scam and bogus!

Received call from David with Civil Correspondence about delivering documents "appears to be a summons" gave Bergman, Sloan and Associates and call 888-964-6592 with case number.  "You should call ASAP". Called 888# sounds like a call center or the loudest law firm in the world, wanted my ssn  to confirm - no way.

I just received a call at work from these people.  I told her that it is inappropriate to call me at work and she lied and said this was the first time they have called my work.  I told her she was lying because they have been calling since last week and I've seen the number come up several times.  She then said papers will be served to my home between 9am-4pm and asked if someone will be home. I told her no and she said to call an 800 number with a doc # to have my number removed.  I did have credit issues in the past but have paid them all off.  I do not owe anyone as of today but student loans and they are paid on time every month!

Got call from these people today at 5:50pm.  They say they got some legal document and to see if I available between 9 to 4 to sign delivery of document.  After I say yes, the person on the phone ask me to call the number 888 964 6592 before 8 pm to verify some info because they don't want to go to wrong adresss.  I did not call.  I have no debt left now, but I use to have some.  When a legitimate debtor call they tell you what the debt is for.

These people have been calling me from a Kentucky number, this is the number they gave my mother to call them back when they called my parents house too.  A company called Bergman Sloan I think.  It is about some fake civil lawsuit I supposedly have against me for a credit card from 10 years ago.  I've verified my credit report, there is nothing on there.  I've asked them to stop calling numerous times, and they won't stop.  I've tried threatening with a harrassment suit, but apparently that only worked for a week.....

Got a call about legal documents and a document # would not give any information as to who they were or a name, called back Saturday went to a voice mailbox that was supposedly full but no name of company, been scammed before by supposed payday loan,reported to the police 2x. Know its a ripoff but how do you stop them it is very upsetting to think your going to get legal ramifications for any reason.
