888-966-0878 is a complete scam.  Received a message from "Chris Owens" about our utility bill.  Called them back and "Jeremy" answered and said they were from our local utility company and that we were late on payments and had been "red flagged" for the past several months for nonpayment.  I knew this was B.S., since I had just paid the monthly bill several days prior.  They said I needed to provide a credit card number for payment immediately or our electricity would be turned off in half an hour.  I played along until they got frustrated and then I asked to be transferred to "Chris Owens" at which time they hung up on me.  Never give credit card info or other personal info over the phone.  NO reputable company EVER requests this type of info.

} There has to be a way to get these [collection agents] to stop harassing hard working people

You place your name after the word "Plaintiff" and the name of the company and every employee you spoke to after the word "Defendant". You send Frontier Financial a real summons and complaint, unlike the fake lawsuit which was part of its scare tactics. Make them pay you for your hassle and bill them for your legal costs besides.

I received a call AT WORK from 848-230-3957.  The woman (which I cannot remember her name) asked for me and when I asked who was calling she gave her first name and then I ask where she is calling from and she said Frontier Financial and is this "the person I am trying to reach?"  I stated, you are not allowed to call me at work.  She states, since when????  This is the number we have on file.  I state... you also called my cell phone 2 minutes prior.  She got nasty and states... Are you going to pay your bill or not because we are done playing games with you and we are going to send your paperwork to our legal department to have your wages garnished.  I state, first I have no idea what bill you are talking about and second DO NOT CALL ME AT WORK!!!  She starts yelling at me that they are done with me and taking me to court.  I told her good, I cannot wait to me the bi*** on the other end of this phone face to face and I hung up.  I am so aggravated because I have no idea what bill they are talking about and never received a letter from them and then this bi*** has the balls to call me at work and start yelling at me and I could not even ask her for any information regarding this so called bill, because she wouldn't shut up.  There has to be a way to get these low life bottom scum feeders to stop harassing hard working people, especially at their place of employment.  I cannot wait until I get off work today to call the number back and give this bi*** something really to yell about.

This number is being used by FRONTIER FINANCIAL GROUP, a debt collection SCAM.  They are spoofing numbers using VOIP, the caller ID on my cell phone was area code in Los Angeles, this company is based in NV. The caller stated his name was John Gibbons from Frontier Financial group.  He stated he was calling regarding a claim against me and that the client (whom he failed to mention) had asked for his legal team for advise to take action and that he was calling to "GET MY INPUT"
He ended the call with this is a time sensitive matter and that this was a call to attempt to collect a debt etc.... all the legalize used to comply with the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act, however they violate this act in multiple ways.  I returned the call and notified John that I was recording the call for legal purposes, he notified me he was recording the call as well, but asked to not be recorded, I asked for the same as well as the client's name he is representing and he hung up.  Google the company name for further info.  Get their fax number from their website or call the number they called from and press 0 to get the receptionist and tell her that the person that called you gave you the fax number but you wrote it down wrong, get the real number then FAX them a letter of Debt Validation and cease and desist all calls and request only written communication (which is all legal and explained in the FDCPA). Know your legal rights to protect you from fraud and scams.  Trust that once you send them the DEBT VALIDATION  letter, you will never hear from them again, BUT, if you do file a complaint with the FTC.

You are a pathetic creature. It is not called skip tracing and what these people are doing is lieing to people and coercing weak minded fools that care more for their credit score than the truth. The people that they hope to contact will simply pay rather than question who or why their phone is ringing.

This company called my place of work, saying "oh we didn't mean to call you, we meant to verify your employment".  they were collecting on a loan that was already being paid, I guess it was sold to them.  They made some type of threat of "out of court settlement", of which I told them that until they sent me a letter showing me what I owe, they would get nothing.  She (Johnnie) kept asking for money before they would say much more, and hung up on them and told them not to call my work number again.

I have received two calls from this phone number to my office/work phone from a "Miss Davis" who says she's calling from Frontier Financial Group.  She starts out speaking very nicely and refers to a pay day cash loan that she says was received by me over a year ago.  She was able to provide me with my correct mailing address and the name of a bank I haven't used in over two years.  She has a cell phone number that I don't recognize and I don't recognize the name of the pay day loan company.  When I asked her to provide verification of this "loan" she became extremely rude and said that she didn't have to provide this information since they already had previously sent information to my email address ... and it's not her fault that I chose not to respond to their email!!  I've never ever gotten email from this company ... and I verified that she had the correct email address.  When I told her that I wasn't about to send money to her company without verification of the debt she became even more abusive ... threatening police action and telling me that I wouldn't have the "opportunity" to make payment arrangements at a later date ... if I didn't do it right then and there!  I ended up telling her that I wasn't going to send her company any money without proof and I ended up hanging up on her.

Just got a call on my cellphone that I've had for 9 years.  Asked for a person who appears to have had my number before - when I lived in another state (kept the same # when I moved).  Conveyed to caller and Justin I have told courts, police, schools, attorneys, collection agencies to remove my number - I don't know the person they are looking for.  What kind of records do they keep for wrong numbers and why, after 9 years, keep calling?  This guy must owe a bundle to keep tracking the deadbeat down.

He IS a minor! 12 years old. I contacted them, but it didn't sound like they were going to do much about it. Apparently some guy going by the name Nicholas Andreas (also a famous person, so don't think it's him), is the one using his cell # as his. He's done it on many occasions and lives back east.

The shill is implying relief from skip trace calls as a plaintiff, not a debt claim as a defendant. Of course, nothing in that anemic false testimonial states or proves that the supposed calls were in fact annoying or harassing in content or pattern. That is just the sort of misinformation Centennial plays upon in its hamfisted marketing, which often prospects for violation gold where there is none.

Centennial Law in Ventura CA is another dubious and deceptive paper mill law firm which thinks that mass-spamming message forums is a great way to attract business. They do nothing which consumers cannot do for themselves at a much lower cost or far more wisely with the aid of *local* counsel. My report from July 2011 is linked below.

Do you think "Judy" dropped the name "Centennial Law Offices" enough, or should we bait the search engines some more for Centennial Law Offices?

Ask Paul Foti why the FFG rep wanted you to confirm your own identity. The court decision after he fought NCO Financial several years ago changed forever how debt collectors approach people by phone. Discussion of debt with the wrong person gets collectors sued. That said, no one is required to submit to a call center rep's verbal interrogation.

FFG gave up the game anyway with its typical illegal threats, and putting on "skip trace theater" on the premise that you were hidden, and trying to fool you into thinking your bank account security was compromised. You can seek relief in court for all that by next Autumn.

Then your son should be revoking permission to call and/or disputing the debt as appropriate, unless he's a minor, in which case the FDCPA puts his guardians in charge. Inform the agency that a mobile phone is being pelted. It is illegal to knowingly rack up phone charges when collecting debt.

Mistrust of any ''wrong number'' claim is standard procedure at all the rogue collection agencies. You will never get satisfaction from a verbal request, and number blocking turns into an arms race you will lose. Send a ''cease communication'' notice via USPS Certified with return card. This is the method promoted by the FTC and many consumer watchdogs, and the only way to set a legal landmine, as such a notice is ignored at their risk of a lawsuit from you.

It is unwise to publish a phone number you meant to protect in an open forum where any data harvester and scammer can find it. I've reported your comment so that Admin can redact it.

Your callers do not maintain this site or this web page. You cannot expect compliance with your orders until, if possible, you deliver them *directly* to your caller. You have a right to limit or ban phone calls from third party debt collectors, courtesy of state and federal laws, through simple notice.

The writing is fractured, but it appears ILB passed along the name or alias of the FFG rep "Jackie", which "Sheila" then mistook as ILB when replying in a lapse of attention span typical of company shills.
