There's no reason to pay a scammer who's never once sent anything in the mail, esp this thug trying to extort money for another bottomfeeder who's attempting collection activity on an expired debt which is in violation of collection laws.  If this were a legitimate debt and a legitimate company, they'd send something in the mail - legal validation, not pathetic extortion threats by some idiot who can barely speak English.  Not all debtors are deadbeats.  Don't judge what you don't know, fool! You sound as though you work for one of these bottomfeeders.

In your condescending, judgmental mindset did you ever think some people are disabled or have lost their job or had some other catastrophic financial setback?  Not everyone who owes money is a deadbeat who doesn't want to pay bills! Just because you have it doesn't mean other people do.  And this is definitely a scam artist preying on people not knowing the laws, just looking to scam people for debts they don't even owe.  They never send a bill or letter or certified lawsuit documents as required by law.  I know it's a scam on my cell phone, since they stated an employer I haven't worked for in years and a name I haven't used in years.  If it is a valid debt, which I doubt, it's way beyond my state's statute of limitations.  Even if I had the money, I wouldn't pay these scammers.  And no, I don't have high limit credit cards that I'm maxing out and spending on junk I don't need.  You try living on less than 800 a month in Social Security, a very low fixed budget that doesn't allow for things most people take for granted!  So get your nose out of the air, moron.  Even if people legitimately owed the debt, that doesn't mean they deserve to be harassed by bottomfeeders who don't obey laws.

Got a message today from some jack*** who refused to identify themselves stating a complaint had been files against me and an asset investigation would result if I didn't contact their office immediately. Caller ID said "Private Caller"!

Sorry, whoever you are!  I only respond to letters sent to me from a lawyer's office which states what the debt is and how much it is. That's the legal way to do it.  Any other way is a SCAM!!!

got a voicemail on my cell phone marked Private-the guys name is Rick Garcia with American Document Servers and he said they have made 3 attempts to locate me and have me served with these documents to be signed(like thats gonna happen) He mentioned my 2 addresses of places i used to live like 3 and 4 years ago and my moms address - he needs me to contact him immediately cause time is of the essence. Im so sick of these scammers trying to screw people and scare them out of money.

my wife and I git a call this morning from a young man with a legal document service company that was 2 blocks away from my door when I looked out there he was pulling up my drive..I was served a court summons because I was told not to write down the message that was left for me days before boy Im a stupid old man  I should be kicking my behind for reading all the negitive bull you losers post about collectors and phone calls.. just pay what you owe and man up...or you will smuge your credit even more ..I cant even buy a pencil on credit thanks to that summons!!

several people calling for a friend a Kevin Jensen from document services department- saying to call 888-984-5730   ther is a  complaint against me and I can call to discuss the details . not sure what this is.. but feels real, but is  a scam

Caller stated on voicemail he will call several people I know (stated their names) if he can't reach me soon. How did they get these people name and number if I've never given it too them? How do they know I know these people they stated?

got message on tele with different names and a case no.  and I called from law firm to verify the county in which this case number was filed and they refused to give this to me.

Got the call, I use to work for a recovery company, a blocked call doesn't mean its not legitimate it just means they either dont accept call backs at the number they are calling from or dont think you will answer if you dont recognize the number. The worst thing you can do is ignore it and regret it down the line. just like any problem in life, if you continue to ignore it eventually it will come back and bite you. This was not for me but for my brother, I guess he took care of it as they stopped calling the house.

Never trust a supposed bill collector that refuses to display a name and phone number on caller ID.  If they are a legal firm, the law says they MUST send you a letter on their letterhead stating the amount of the debt and the original creditor.  NEVER respond to a simple phone call and be VERY CAREFUL about gving out any financial information.

Funny how everyone believes everything they read when it's convenient and doesn't when it's not.  Think about it.  If you wanted to clear/ clean out your debt there is only one honest way........  Pay it.  I found this site after pulling my credit report and started researching to settle on my debts in order to buy a new car,  I was tired of driving old beat up cars. I called all the original creditors and not one would negotiate or even take any money from me. I was directed to this company by the original creditor,  anyways I checked them all out before sending any money and weather we like it or not that is the true and legal way to handle these type of debts.  I was like you guys pissed off at all the calls. You might not like what they have to say but if you wanna handle your debt and get your financial life back in order,  there is no other way just make sure you get everything in writing.  My .02

Lawyers Office for Debt Collection

Did they ever send anything?  They called me again today that they needed someone at my home between 9a.m. and 4 p.m. over the age of 19 to sign for some documents.  That they had been retained by some company...cannot even remember the name.  First of all, if they were a reputable company of any kind, they would not just work from 9-4...really, that is when most people are at work!

They called my mother's number today (I have not lived at home in almost 25 years!) and they called my phone.  Told my mom that they were an "officer" and had papers to serve me.  WTH?  Obviously a bunch of collectors just playing hardball.  Must be something very old....and they are trying to collect what they can.  HATE COLLECTORS!!!!

My daughter just received the same type of call on her cell phone.  It's definitely a scam of some sort.

This caller keeps calling my mothers house and saying they have paper work for me and saying if my mother received the paper work she would be involved and they gave a access number of the claim.
