I said hello and no one answered so I hung up

2014-06-12 Incoming call - no response at other end

I got scammed by them checking on a bill, but nothing was due.  I had already given them my address and ss#  I got suspicious as soon as I hung up and immediately enrolled in lifelock.

First time this # called me and I am on the DO NOT CALL list since October 29, 2013, which is way past the 30 Days when they are NOT suppose to call. They called at 11:06 am today 2/13/14. The recorded message said the same thing as what "Sigh" message said. NO one at this # or location when to the hospital in an ambulance that day or any day, since I have no need to call them. They said, "Hello, we are calling because a member of your household was transported by ambulance within the past year. In order to bill the 'appropriate' party, for these ambulance services, we need you to fill out and sign the  back of the form we've  recently sent to you. If you're not the patient and choose to sign on their behalf, please make sure to mark your relationship to the patient and include your address somewhere on the form as well. Please provide patient's policy number and return the form to us as soon as possible. If you did not receive this form soon, please call 888-987-1481 to request one. Again the number is: 888-987-1481. Thank you very much for your prompt response in this matter."
That is exactly the message left on my machine. No reason to call since no one at this # used an ambulance service for years. I would think I that I would remember is anyone used the ambulance service. I will say, that at first I thought, oh my gosh, someone used an ambulance to go to the hospital and then when I thought about it, I realized, NO one here used them in the past year or even longer. I was surprised a message was left since ones from 800# usually never leave a  message - recorded or otherwise. I figure it is because of being a telemarketer and THEY (the one making the call) want to make the commission and are probably told not to leave messages if no one answers.

A nasty female caller asked for my daughter by her first name (Christina) and when I asked who was calling they hung up.

I recommend getting the apps NQ Call Blocker and/or PrivacyStar.
They block numbers you mark to be blocked. You never even hear the ring.
PrivacyStar even asks if you want a complaint filed, which a lawyer's office
will then contact you explaining the 'up to $1000' award you can receive.
Also Advanced Systemcare has a Mobile Care app that works great too.

Called my cell to say someone in my family was transported in an ambulance in the last year and I needed to pay the bill. Never happened and never called them back.

Called my cell at 0820 on 2 Aug 2013... left a "recorded voicemail" stating that "someone from your home recently had an accident and was transported by ambulance"... and gave instructions to take care of this by calling 888-987-1481. I, nor anyone in my home has had any "accident" and even so we have all medical care and transportation covered without the use of these "third party" entities. I returned the call and it was answered with the "business name" of EMERGENCY MEDICAL SERVICES BILLING, which seems rather generic. When waiting to speak to someone, I was informed that the call was "being recorded for quality assurance", and when a live person answered, I informed her that I too was recording the call for legal purposes, which I have started doing with these unknown and annoying scam and telemarketing calls... once they know they are being recorded and that games are done with these scam calls and telemarketing mess, they tend to sing a different tune.. I explained to the lady that I, nor anyone in my home has done business with their company and we've had no use for any third party or private company such as the one that they claim to be... and that I would appreciate if they would stop calling my cell phone... I was told in a very nervous sounding voice that she was "sorry, and would take care of that and remove my private cell number (which no one has other than three people who are immediate family members and my cell is for emergencies with my children only.. I don't give out my cell to anyone at all)  immediately". If calls continue, and they have been alerted before the conversation begins that I am recording the calls for legal purposes.. that the recorded calls will be sent to the appropriate authorities... both law enforcement and the FCC.... tired of those who skirt around the FCC laws and regulations!!.

Same as well. Called my cell. Answered. No one replied.
