Caller identified company as Spark Energy said they could lower my gas bill.  Stated they received my number only from consumers enery and needed to verify my address.  I told them they had reached me on a phone number unknown to consumers energy and they hung up.

Exactly the same thing just happened, I didnt give her time to finish her pitch, and she got very snooty and said I DID NOT EVEN FINISH YET, told her i did not care one bit and to not call again, she laughed and hung up saying I couldnt stop them from calling if I wanted to

I have not seen this number in a long time. It's been maybe a year. I did not answer and they did not leave a message. I almost never answer (unless I'm about to do something really nasty) and they almost always don't leave a message. I now get about a half dozen telemarketing calls a day where it used to be over twice that many. Multiply those numbers by what it costs them to make such a call and it warms my heart that they are spending thousands of dollars on phone bills just to not talk to lil' ol' me.
Based on this experience, if no one ever answered the phone when they called, there would no longer be such a thing as telemarketers.

Received a call from 888 988-8188 and it came up as a government agency "Integrity Commission"? If they are posing as a very serious government agency this should be reported!

Tyrone, don't expect them to stop calling you.  I bought a reasonable little ATT answer machine on which I leave a polite message and they don't bother me anymore - they never leave a message.

THis # calls daily even after I asked to be removed from their call list.

I picked up, said my company name, and no one responded.  I put it on hold until it died.  That's my usual response.  I have no idea why they bother to call and then say nothing.  I thought only jilted  teenagers do that.

Calls about lowering my electric bill 10%. However they want my account information which I will NOT give over the phone. I told her to send me the information in the mail so that I can review it. She said she couldn't do that Probably, then it would be mail fraud and get time..Sorry,I didn't make the call, so I'm not giving out information to a unknown caller.

no clue who the caller was; did not answer it. Saw the number; googled it and got this site. I expect the caller was another telemarketer for coned. Spoke with the supervisor there a few days ago and reminded them my number has been on DNC list for five or more years. Seems they don't care.

i actually spoke to a rep from this number, the reps name was LaTeasha (cant remember her last). they have called me a few times as well and hit the answering machine. i finally spoke to them and they were calling to reduce my electric bill. i live in pennsylvania and have PECO for my utility, they offered me a fixed rate that saved me over 10% off PECO's rate. i waited a couple months to post this since i wanted to recieve my first bill before i commented. i had full intentions on blasting them but they are actually saving me 10%, plus i read an article that PECO's rate is set to increase. i know this site is all negative, I myself was going to say something bad until i actually realized the savings. not all things are bad... my only advice would be to listen to what they say and if you feel comfortable then give them a chance. if not, hang up.

called and reached my answering machine, he didn't realize it was an answering machine and said really fast that he needed to speak with someone about the electricity bill at this location.  when he said hello,hello then he hung up.  we use PECO Energy.

I continuously receive calls from this number and they have repeatedly ignored my reminder that our phone is on the DNC list, yet the calls persist.

The way to stop these phone calls from coming is to turn your fax on your number after about 3 calls their automated system will remove your number from their rotating predictor caller.... : )

i am sick and tired of these useless people calling me every day and hanging up.  i'm not going to answer a call from a number i don't recognise.  what is the point of being on the donotcall.gov if no one is going to do anything about this!

This number calls every day almost and I'm going crazy....

Sparks Energy wants me to switch...I asked them to take my number off their registry and they have called me three times since.

Called my business line at 1:00 a.m.  No message left.  Jerks!

Sales person told me it was not a sales call and then wouldn't let me speak. Everytime I asked a question I was shushed and she kept going on with her spiel.
When I pointed out that she wouldn't let me get a word in she hung up on me!!!!!

Pretending they are Con Ed, but they are not - they are an ESCO.
Kept trying to get me to reveal my account number, kept saying this is not a sales call. I told them to not call again, and the girl on the phone said, "Oh yes I will".

I received tons of phone calls from ESCOs and asked each to never call me again.  The problem is that there are dozens of ESCOs to whom ConEd has given your private contact info that will still be calling you.  You need to call ConEd directly and ask to speak with the department that gives out your phone number/e-mail to these ESCOs and ask that they (ConEd) remove your name from that list and NOT share your info with any 3rd parties.  It seems like such a violation that we have to be bothered with telling them NOT to do this, but that's the way it is.

Call comes from ESCO looking to "lower your bills" by switching over to their company instead of paying Con Edison directly.  I called Con Edison and asked if this was a legit company and was told yes, but when I asked why I should switch, the answer was "why should you?"..  the gas and electric still comes from Con Edison.
