They keep calling for an acquaintance whom I lost contact with several years ago.  When I ask what it is about or the name of the company, they will not give any information.  I wish they would stop harassing me.

I got a call this morning with "Law Office" 716-204-4022 on my caller ID.  A woman started to leave a message on my answering machine asking some man to call about an important matter.  The reason I picked up the phone was that the name she was asking for was the first name of my wife's last husband and the last name of a boyfriend she had when she was in her early 20's (the father of my step-daughter).  My wife is 36 now.  Anyway, I said that the name is familiar, and she said is there anyway that you can get in touch with him to tell him and this is a law office etc.  i said that the name is familiar and that they might want to call back later when my wife gets home.  Then she said my wife's first name! I said yes.  So I was thinking that this guy was in trouble or something.  She said tell your wife to please call Susan Bronson Law Office at 1-888-990-8010 Ext. 4208 and that it is important.  After that I felt strange about the call and how they knew so much about my wife our last name, but they are calling about 2 men from my wife's past as one man.  Very strange.  I googled the number on the answering machine and also the number that i was told to give to my wife.  I don't know what to do if they call back!  Are they really looking for one of those men or is it for my wife?  I am very confused.

I just received a call from that number 888-990-8010, ext. 4214.  They were looking for my ex-husband.  I imagine it was a collection call, because he was terrible with money when we were together (13 years ago).
They said they showed my home number as the most recent number for him (this number is less than a year old under my new husband's name--SCARY).
I read a comment about someone from this number looking for someone who had been in jail.  I do believe that my ex-husband was also in jail, as there were warrants for his arrest at the time of our divorce.

Definitely a collection call.  They keep calling me looking for my ex-husband.  I've been divorced 15 yrs and remarried 5 yrs ago.  I changed my number and the phone company mistakenly listed my new number.  Now they are still calling.  I called them back and gave them my ex's number and asked that they remove my number.  They probably won't do it.  I think I'll cancel my phone and just go cellular.

How do they keep connecting me to my ex-husband?

I got a call from a Michelle Youngblood from Bronson and Migliacho (allegedly) on Thursday night.  She actually called twice while I was at both jobs and did not return until late that night.  When I called on my break the next day and asked to speak to her, I was told she was not in, and spoke to another woman, who in turn turned me over to a guy who was not very sympathetic.  He said that I needed to come up w/ $400 by the end of the month, and was wven willing to have me break it down into two 1/2 payments.  He said that I could give him a promisory note by giving him my credit card number.  I told him I'd much rather mail him the payment, and he said that the card was more or less for collateral too.  When I told him I did not have the money to pay him, he had the audacity to see if I could borrow the money.  When I called him back later that day, way before I thought they would be closed, he conveniently was not there.  I left a msg. informing that I could not come up w/ the money, and that he better not attempt to take anything out of my account.  I also did not get any kind of letter from them in the mail pertaining to this matter.
Thanks!
Thanks!

They called asking for a relative that has done horrible damage to my life already. He recently got out of jail. The last thing I want is some collection agency calling me asking for him. I don't know what to tell them to get them to leave me out of any more of his problems!

Who is CSGA?  My son has a warrant in Debt to these people but doesn't know for WHO or WHAT.  I am assuming this is a collection company who has purchased charged-off debts.  I refuse to answer 800# calls so if this company is calling I don't know it.

These people are supposedly represented by atty Andrew Dinnerstein and have filed a lawsuit against my husband for something we have no idea what it is!  It is in the amount of $13,000+...I have pulled all of his credit reports and cannot find anything that resembles $13,000!!!  I dont think we have ever received a phone call from these people though...just straight to a lawsuit.  The credit card they are referencing is a First USA which according to husbands (3) credit reports shows a "0" balance and closed.  The lawsuit paperwork didnt come with anything stating he agreed to anything it was just the court papers and attached to the back was two credit card agreements for First USA.  Perhaps this was just to intimidate?  If they attach a credit card agreement why wouldnt they attach the actual paperwork that my husband signed applying for the credit card?  And they do not reference the regular credit card account number.  This all smells REALLY BAD!

Watch out!  They are relentless.  My husband started getting calls from them on an account that was in dispute.  They called over and over again demanding full payment.  He tried to explain the account was in dispute, but they got nasty and threatened to tie him up in court and make him pay 3x what the original debt was.  They called my daugher's grade school and left a message and my brother.  Both times they stated they were a law firm and it was important that my husband call back immediately.  Then they made the mistake of calling me.  Fortunately, I am well-versed in the FDCPA laws and was able to quote them verbatim.  When they continued to call-I filed complaints with FTC, NY Bar Association, My attorney general, NY's attorney general and The Association of Credit and Collection Professionals (of which they are registered members).  Haven't heard from them since!

Arm yourself with knowledge!  Know the FDCPA laws and don't let them harrass you into paying something you do not owe!

Ms. Ward, told me time and time again she was calling from a Law Office, but said the names so fast i couldng catch what law office. I work for a lawyer, and she asked if our client ***** was a bankrupcy issue. i told her i would have my boss call her back, but checked the number on google, becasue there are very few law firms/offices with a 800 number... even less with an 888 number.... needless to say, my boss said screw her collection agency.

Hello hello hello, in an English accent. Important message. Not a sales or marketing call. May be a collection agency.
