This is a major scam! There are too many places like this. They will tell you what you want to hear to get money out of you. Unfortunately, we had to learn the hard way. We lost thousands at first. My daughter has been acting/modeling and singing for 5 years and she is 12 years old. There is no easy way to make it big. We live in PA and It is extremely expensive and like a full time job helping my daughter fulfill her dreams; Taking her to singing/acting lessons, auditions, Meeting with agents, photographers, traveling to NY & LA, etc. Being on set is not all it's cracked up to be either. It's a lot of waiting around and the kids are there long hours and work really hard. My daughter has an agent now but it took 5 years of a LOT of HARD WORK. Whats funny is my daughter is the most outgoing kids you'll ever meet and is so dedicated and it still took her this long just to get an agent. She has done a lot of acting and modeling jobs and has gotten paid but even after 5 years, she still hasn't made it big! Just trying to get the point across that this is the absolute toughest business to break into. An agent once told me regarding auditions you will hear 74 "no's" for every 1 "yes" and that's if your good! She also said that statistically it can take 10-11 years to break into this business, unless you start extremely young or your extremely talented like Justin bieber. There are hundreds of kids out there that are just as talented as him, but he just happened to get his break. The chances of getting discovered that way are one in a few million. As far as disney...FYI, there are only 1-2 legit Disney auditions per year and they are announced on their "official website" My daughter attended the last one in May in Kansas City, MO and there were literally over 1,000 kids there (many of them with years of training like my daughter), and only about 20 got picked. The next day they narrowed it down to about 5 in the end. Persistance and exposure are key. Get yourself out there and meet as many people as you can in the business and follow up with them. Training is also important. It's about being totally prepared when an opportunity presents itself.

I too my daughter than did research on the company, which we could not find any info. After calling all my family and friends on this anytime anyone is interesed in you than you shoulld not have to pay. If they really wat you they will pay to get you there. Look at Jusin Bieber he was on U-Tube that is free and he went up from there on everything he has done.
Thanks for listening

they're advertising again on WINS 1010 radio...i replied to the ad one year and went to the auditions with my 13 year old daughter, in NYC, at the John Powers agency. in our case it was a plug for an acting school that John Powers Agency ran. you would "have a better chance if you took some of our acting classes". we declined. just an fyi

This is JRP, John Robert Powers. They "loved" my daughter, thought she was a natural talent, called her back for a 2nd audition and very excited because "a producer" was in town. Drove back, waiting in the lobby for the appointment, went into the office where they "definitely could see her being a star".. Then the big sell: What is really is - a scam to get you to enroll in their programs. They recommended one for her, that was over $3K, payment up front at once, and of course would recommend that they enroll in other expensive programs after that.
I use to live in Florida near Orlando... you don't need to pay these people thousands of dollars to audition... you can do it for free.

I went twice! Once in Baltimore and once at another place in Maryland. They are an acting school. A very expensive acting school. Both times I got "called back" but its only to enroll in their training program. My Mom told them I'd be happy to participate with some sort of scholarship program but of course they don't offer that. Maybe if you train with them in L.A., they might help you out. But in Baltimore?
TeeBee 2009-08-04 22:10:13 Unknown
so i called them and they told me they would cal me back..and they did.
they talked to my mom and i am really happy because the adution im going to is to be in a twilight saga movie! they want 2 pictures, body shot and head shot, dressed nicely as well as your parents and you have to be there like and hour early. but im trying it because acting is my passion and i hope its not a scam. but call it and just try it!
Mandy 2009-08-02 00:57:06 Unknown
I called them. I have an audtion. It's as easy as that. Call the number and you get the audition. It's not a scam. My friend went to an audition after that number called and they were an extra on Hannah Montana. They didn't make it big, though. Call it now. You could be famous! Call it! I am so glad I did. :D
cookie 2009-04-20 22:08:02 Unknown

bubblegum 2009-04-12 00:17:02 Unknown
i went to the auditions for the yfa and it was a real exciting moment 4 me and a dream in progress icouldnt beleive it.
Sam 2009-04-07 16:07:26 Unknown
I wanted to go to the auditions but my mom thought it was a scam because both your mom and your dad had to be there. So she didn't even take the chance... it COULD have been real but she wont try it. Maybe she doesn't want me to be a disney channel star. I have wanted to entertain ever since I was 4 years old... my mom says she will try to find me a real audition.
