I missed this call no message was left.
It called my phone at 10:46 AM.
WHAT IS THIS?!

Someone from "Bell" (a cell phone provider in Canada) is claiming they have a great offer for me to get an LG Chocolate phone with them... but I'm not a Bell customer.

This is a scam. beware!!

An indian guy is calling everybody in our company on our confidentail business cell phone and wants to give us a cell phone. He called me one minute after he called my collegue, who shares my office. He has bad memory since he already called me and another collegue last week... He says he works for aeroplan, not for bell mobility any more. But aeroplan doesn't sell cell phone...
SCAM!!! And not the smartest !!! Be aware

I got two calls from this number back to back. The only "message" left was an inaudible male voice saying something and hanging up.

I have missed 3 calls from this number have missed them all, luckily.

We too have been getting calls from this number. We had also had the same calls a month previous, and already contacted Bell Mobility. They informed us that it was not from them and told us to ask for an employee number.  When we asked for an employee number, one of the callers said that they were not allowed to give out that information, the next caller said we could speak to their supervisor, The "supervisor" actually got on the phone and gave a phoney number. They are looking for credit info, BEWARE!!

Hey guys i just got a phone call from a different number from someone in New Jersey.. it is also part of the scam.. i was very rude to the guy and told him not to call again. The number is 732-626-0890. Do not give any information to those people.. They are scammers!!

same guy as below, i asked who he was, he said bell promotions, he asked how many phones do i have on my account? i said wouldn't you know this? he said he did not have access to my personal account, i said I'M CALLING THE POLICE.... ( ... ) WHAT DO YOU THINK OF THAT~!? Scammer hung up on me.

Bell said that this is the 1st time they heard of this, please call bell and let them know about this Scam, but from the title of this link maybe Bell could care less about protecting thier customers.

Just got a call from this number. I never answer anything I don't recognize, so I just let it go. Looks like that was a good thing to do from the sound of the calls some people on here have received from this number.

Phone rang, caller ID on the phone gave me this number.  I don't usually answer any calls from numbers that I don't recognize, but area code 891? nowhere in the GTA area or Ontario has that code.  I ignored it; within a couple of minutes it rang again.  Each time it only rang about three times, then stopped and no message. This is why I don't answer unknown or unidentified numbers.

East Indian Caller has called numerous times from different numbers the 017 number and the 1-891-877-0003 they also block the number and call.
The only info I gave was my name and po box and refused when they asked for my SIN #.
I called bell mobility canada immedietly following the call and the staff were clueless and less than helpful. One of the employees said it was the marketing staff that were calling me???
Not impressed might have to change providers.

HEY I JUST GOT A CALL FROM THIS NUMBER ASWELL, I DONT THINK ITS ONLY BELL NUMBERS THERE CALLING. I HAVE ROGERS PHONE AND THEY CALLED. I DID NOT ANSWER THO. GOOD THING I FOUND THIS WEBSITE.

I just got a call also!! I googled it and thank goodness I found this!!! I immediately phoned bell and of course the lady didn't know anything about it. I am worried as to where they got the number or if that's all the information they obtained..

I missed the call from this number yesterday and was hoping it wasn't anything important...thanks to this I now know its a scam. Truly appreciated!!

I just got a call on my cell within the hour saying they were calling from Bell. The accent was so thick I could hardly understand him. He said my number was drawn for a free phone and asked my name. I said if he was calling from Bell he should know my name. He ignored my and said the free phone would come with a new phone number! I told him "I don't think so" and he hung up! I saw this site and so glad I followed my gut about not telling him anything!

I just got a call from this number on my work cell phone! crazy...I can hardly wait for them to call back!

I got a missed call and about a three second message. He didn't say anything into the phone, but there was a man with a middle eastern accent in the background muttering to another voice before he hung up.

This number just called my phone.
My sister got a call a few weeks ago with the same number trying to get her info so she could get a new free phone... it's too bad that's the same phone that she already had!

Yep, the guy just called me with a middle eastern accent, offering me an LG Chocolate. Just tell him you know its a scam, and tell him not to call the number again, or tell him your gonna confirm with bell to see if its legit. Obviously, he's not, so he won't call again.

Same here, unfortunately i didn't get off as easy as you guys. F****rs got my name, address, postal code, date of birth, and even phone number. Don't know what to think now. ID theft, rape. Would like to report it everywhere possible, maybe will be helpful in some way.

Oh wow. I just looked up this number because they just called me today and I was wondering who it was. I got this same call a couple of months ago. (But it was under a different number! It was 01-176-693-8475) Same things, people from india "calling for bell" about a free phone.

This w**ker keeps phoning my cell. Non-stop yesterday, 5 times this afternoon and twice this evening. He Tried to tell me that I  won a new cell phone. He's phoned my husband and my daughter within this last week.  Next time I'm going to tell his indian accent a** where to go!!!

I just got a call from this number and wondered what area code is '891'?  I googled it and found this site.  I never answered the phone and am glad I didn't.

i just got called by the number and told her to stick the phone up her a** and she hung up on me.  then i found this site and now see that its a scam

i keep missing calls from this number so i finally called it back and some gilr answered and wheh i said who is this she hung up...i was really confused now i know why

yes i also had this call, I never answered it but will be very agressive the next time i get a call from them.

just got a call from this number but disregarded it.  i think i'll have some fun with the guy if he calls me back

I was called today by an indian man telling me I qualified for a free Bell phone, and started asking questions about how many phones we had on our plan. I said "I don't want another cell phone, if I upgrade it will be to a Blackberry" and he said "we can give you a free Blackberry too" (which I know is crap because I've investigated upgrading.

I avoided his questions and said I'd call back if I was interested. He said "we don't have a call back number" and I said "yes you do, I'll just call 611" (I knew at this point it was a scam).

I called Bell and reported the scammer, and the agent had heard of it happening. The goal of the scammer in the end, is to get your Credit card #. He took the number from my caller ID and said he was going to escalate it right away so it could be looked into.

ballin thanks for the tips, i got a call a few months ago and answered and said the same free phone bs, and i'd forgotten what number it was, and i got a call today from that number today and didn't answer, good thing!

they just woke me up. and told me they were from bell and were giving me a free cell phone.  Then they asked for my perosnal information.  And I asked the guy with a think INdian accent, why Bell would ask for my information when they should already have it. He said that they were in some town in India and didnt have it. I said if Im eligible for a new cell phone, I'd visit one of their stores.  He told me I can only get the phone through them.  I told him that that was too bad and that I was no longer interested.  He then pushed for me to get the "free" phone for a friend or family member, but I refused.  So Sketchy...

He woke me up to.  I'm barely functioning when I wake up!
