I recently received a text from the following phone number 900-070-0038 - 76. I did not open it thinking it may some kind of pay usage scam. I do not permit text messages on my phone. I had my phone service shut that feature off. I figure, if a phone call is important enough, the caller will leave a voice mail.

I called up Verizon. They tell me it's one of their advertisment phone numbers. I reminded them that I have all texted messages blocked. If I want a new phone, I'll contact them when I am ready. I am happy with my current phone and do not need to be badgered into a new phone. The polite clerk at Verizon says she's just put a stop to the text messages at my request. Hopefully that is the end of the story.

Be wery of any unselicited 900 number text.

Same here. Obviously a scam.

Text from 900-070-0038 87 referring to a link on verizonwireless that does not exist.  Says to replay with x.  I'm not going to do that to a 900 number
