My phone company says that the 900 block will not work because they pass out an 800 number that "PASSES THRU" to a 900 number so it goes through based on the 800 that you dial..... but with no option to opt out or hang up once it passes doesn't seem legal to me. .... I'm finding out

Really? I dial an 800 number given to me BY A BANK - I dial it like I am told (several times!) to get the info I need and also recheck (like I was TOLD). Today I get the bill from MCI $5.00 PER phone call dialed. Really? For an 800#??

Turns out - that the 800 number is a "PASS THRU" number to a 900 number without any warning or message to "OPT OUT" - How illegal is this? We're gonna find out cuz I'm not paying it!  

Then to add insult to injury - I find out that the "business" that I called to straighten out the bank information is actually a LOCAL CALL from my area code .....

My phone company removed it - but MCI will "TRY" to remove it - and the "business that owns it" is "Business Finance Services"  561-272-5667 and will not return my call.    SCAM!

Received a $25 charge on AT&T bill, called MCI to obtain source, same number (900) 733-2467.  Called their number to dispute, got voice mail - left message.  Also got their fax number from MCI it is (561) 272-5333 - faxed dispute as well.  Sending letter of compalint to the FL Attorney General and BBB, I recommend everyone do as well.

Bank of America owns this number, it is for thier verification of deposit service that costs $25.  It is a common practice when obtaining a loan for a home.  You can call Shawn at 630-483-4224.

Bank of America needed me to fax them some papers on my personal account to set up a password and ID, they gave me this number to fax my information to not telling me the fax would cost me $25.00   I faxed them three documents, my bill with MCI was $70.00!!!with tax $74.38.  I did not even need the information someone from Bank of America called me!  What a cheap shot from Bank of America, MCI, and AT&T.

I just got a bill from the company itself saying we owe them for web access to 900 numbers on a day in which NO ONE was home to use the house computer (no wifi here, only dial up through our local phone company who we have already placed blocks on long distance, 900 and other frills when we started service 7 years ago).  The charges are for a day and time in which NO ONE was home.  I'll call monday to find out what is up with this malarky as it is saturday and apparently they are closed.

We received two charges for $25.00 from this number on our office fax.  We did not dial the number.  It appears to be a scam.  We are about to fight it.

A $25 charge showed up on our offices phone bill from this number, but I am the only one who faxes anything and we keep track of every fax we send in our files. It says we called it at 3:55 pm on 11/20. We did not dial out or send a fax to this number yet we were charged for it on our phone bill. When the boss called Verizon to ask what the charge was for, they recognized the number and removed the $25 charge with no questions asked. Sounds like a phone bill scam to me...

I received 2 charges on my bill and Researched it. ICN Champion communications out of Florida own the number. Eric and Martin Cherry (561-272-5667) own the number. I called and got the runaround. 900-733-8637 & 900-733-2467 are owned by Eric and Marty Cherry of ICN Champion Communications out of Florida. There number is 561-272-5667. I called to find out what these charges were for. It appears to be a scam.

An MCI charge showed up on my Verizon Bill for 25.00 for a call from my office fax machine.  I have no idea why.  Even though it's been a year, I'm calling Verizon and MCI to complain and I'm sending them 25 less dollars next month.  I have since found other bogus charges on my Verizon bill as well. Now, I have to go back a year when we started using Verizon and inspect every bill.

I recieved two calls on my bill from MCI for 25.00 each

4 Calls for $25.00 a minute ($100.00) for last 2 telephone billing cycles.

Have telephone provider researching issue.

A 26.65 that was made from my fax machine that has a 900 # block.
