They are currently hiring oddly enough. I searched 901-324-4199 and found this page. It didn't say the job description, so it seemed suspicious. It was advertised in the Daily Helmsman, a University of Memphis newspaper. In my google search, I also saw the exact same ad at tnlist.com and craigslist. Apparently they can't keep a steady staff. It pays decent to be yelled at - $11/hr, but I doubt it would add anything of value to my resume besides "superior customer service" if I was lying. lol. Thanks, everyone, for the heads up. I will NOT be applying. :)

These creeps have been calling several times a week for several years.  I have told them on numerous occasions to take me off their list and they have gotten very rude about it.  I'm not the Grinch; simply someone on a fixed income who can't afford to give.  This creep has gone so far as to tell me that he knew where I live and gave me my address; now why would he tell me that if not to intimidate me.  I've thought of calling their director, listed as Rob Harness, but fear that it would only invite more threats and harrassment.  

We DID contribute one year so that a child could attend some event.  I don't know now if it was legit because of the way these cretins respond when rejected.  A legit company would take me off their list and save their time and mine.  Since our initial donation several years ago, they are relentless.  Wish there was legal recourse, but on a fixed income, it's hard to afford an attorney to find out.

Same thing.  Calls and as soon as its answered we hear strange noises similar to kids playing (sounds are muted) and then the line disconnects.

Recieved call from this number was a gentleman solicitating for sale of ticket's to a Christmas Program, a Charity function associated with The Memphis, Shelby County Firefighters assoc.  for benefit of Children's burn center.
Tickets available to attend the Christmas Program OR one can purchase the ticket and return it in which case a child from St.Jude's Hospital will be bundled up and attend the Program in place of the donor. A follow-up call from 901-324-4199, the supervisor, to verify information and thank the contributor.

I received 5 calls in an hour from 9013244199.  The next day I got me a new DECT 6.0 phone that can block calls.

9013244199 and 9019697010 are the numbers for the Memphis Shelby Firefighters Association.

The Memphis Fire department, and the Shelby County Fire department are seperate operations. They both do raise funds for children, but to my knowledge they don't have a common association for fund raising.
I would supect a CON!
Last Year, a NY con was calling himself The Tennessee Troopers Association.
He was in New York, but he had a 901 area phone number. He would call all the 901 area code numbers to ask for money for the Troopers families and he had a good Ol'boy southern droul. He had collected several million dollars when he was busted.
This sounds like the same guy.
