Called regarding legal action on me, And I have now idea what he is talking about. And he is rude to me and my co-workers when he calls his name is Joe Anglade.

Mark Nicolas from Dept. of Financial Crime called from this number (901) 328-9338 and was very rude to my co-worker. I don't believe there is such a thing as Dept. of Financial Crime and he was a jerk!

Some Man called from this number at my job today and he was very rude. He had a heavy accent and I could not understand him- He told me he was form Dept. of Finanacial Crime (no such thing). I was told my local police dept. to hang up the next time I get a call from that number.

I got a call from this number yesterday regarding legal action.  I have no clue what he was saying cuz he had a heavy accent.  He called himself Michael.

i just got a call from a number that was very seriously like this and I am getting mad.  This dude told me to go hide in a place very very safe that the authorities were coming for me.  I am in the US military.

a guy called thomas hardy called me multiple times asking for my daughter, told him she does not live here.  He called over and over and is very rude.  Cannot understand what he wants, just threatened that there was legal action against her, but do not understand what.

I got a call from Mark Nicolas too just like Courtney.  He has been calling me at work although he was told repeatedly to stop calling. He wanted me to give him my credit card number and pay over $4,000.00 from a bill he claims was due in 2005. When I asked him for the name of the compnay this bill was owed to and a copy of it, he told me by Federal Law he cant release it until payment is made. So i hung up on him. He called right back and I let him go into voice mail and he left me a threatning message and said "Be careful, be very careful God help what is going to happen to you now."  I was also told that this same guy is calling others using the following other phone numbers: 901-328-9346 and  901-328-6338.  If anyone ever finds away to get this idiot to stop harassing us at work, can you please post and let us know.

He tried to scam my on a rental home.  I just received a call @ 1:00am.
He told me he had my address and was going to kill me.  Should I take this serious?

I have been called and threatened by these people as well as another company that operates the same way. The 901-328-9338 number is contacted to a "John Powers" with an very heavy accent. I have reported them to the FTC and the Office of Consumer Affairs in my state. Does that mean I don't have to worry anymore about threatening me at work and on my cell phone?
They call multiple times per day and I even got a call this morning at 4:30 am.

I just received a call at 4:30 today from what sounded like a Darren Banks (heavy Middle Eastern accent) from "Financial Crimes Division" stating that I owed money on a payday loan from Nov. 2007.  He had all my information, including a closed bank account number.  He stated that he would download the information to the courts on Monday and that I may be arrested.  When I call the number back, I get a message stating that my balance is zero and it hangs up.

4 calls from this number. from a Mike Scott and a Patrick. a collection agency for CashCall.

I got a phone call from a mike Scottasking me about sending money to the department of crime prevention in the amount of 516.00 and then an inpector Patrick threatened me saying if i wouldnt pay this amount that charges would be filed against me for financial fraud. i called the company they were supposed to be collecting the money from and they told me it was a scam.

Recieved a message while at work that indicated there was a serious legal matter that I needed to address ASAP, they left the # to call back and a contact person named Daryn or Davyn Bans can't really understand them due to the thick middle eastern accent.  First I was put on hold only to be entertained by deck the halls, its July.  Then a guy picks up and says he is calling from Crime prevention and a case was going to be filed in my name and SS#.  Davyn or Daryn is on the phone with an attorney and would give me a call back, please leave my number and name, once again I'm put on hold as I refused to leave any info, and am entertained with a lullaby song WTF, when the caller returned I advised him that the call did not sound legitimate and if this was indeed a legal and urgent matter he could contact me at the original number he dialed I have since received no call backs.  He couldn't even get my name right, he called me Michael on 3 occasions during the call and I'm not Michael.  I believe this to be a scam.

I keep getting very threating phone calls at work for the number 901-328-9338. Calls are forgein male with very thick accents.  They use name Jack Williams, Jerry Kelly, Sam Johnson. They claim i owe them money and that i would be arrested if i dont pay them. Have contacted the the FBI and was told this was in deed a scam and to tell them that they are being investigated. They wont let you speak and if i hang up on them the guy just calls back.  I had my boss block number and now they are calling from another one of there numbers.

I got the same call, "financial crimes division". I spoke to police and I gave them the phone number. This "Thomas Hardy" said someone would be at my place of employment tommorrow to Varify my identity. I was told to call the police if anyone shows up.

I just got a VM at work from these jerks as well. Same middle eastern man w/a think accent but this time his name was "Mark Scott". Is he kidding me? What middle eastern man do you know by such an American name? Anyway, how dare they keep calling innocent people and trying to intimidate them? He gave me the same song and dance as he did to all of the other people listed on here. It's about time someone, somewhere did something about these crooks. I knew it was bogus considering I don't owe anyone money at some unidentified company. They should be sent to jail trying for trying to scam people.

I received an embarrassing call from these f****rs at my place of work. Same M.O. that I did a payday loan in 2005 and if I didnt pay  by today at 2pm I would be brought up on charges and sent to jail!. The guys name was Mark Nicholas....No company info was provided except for Advance Plus -- WHAT?   And this guy was such a piece of work telling me that attorney will be aappointed to me for free by his company "Financial Crimes Devision" LMAO! Are they for real? , Yet they knew my social and some old email address I havent had for over 10 years....So Yes I was scared at first cause they talk a good game but in order for me to get any information  I would have to give a down payment of 200...lolol WTF. PLEASE stop the madness...these people are crooks in their own right. 2005?  WTF its 2008?.

A man left a voicemail at my job stating his name as Peter Marsh and stating that he was calling about a very serious legal matter involving criminal fraud and that I am the primary suspect. Says that due to the nature of the matter, he could not provide details, but that if I did not call him back, I could be arrested at my residence or at my place of work.

he goes by  both names...michael jones and john bowers...i called asked for michael he stated it was him speaking...i hung up called back and asked for john bowers...he said this him speaking...same person...when i asked if he went by both names....he hung up on me...

O.k., so this morning @ 8:00am I got this phone call on my landline. The reception was bad and a guy with a thick accent was on the line. He asked for me and I just said ?she?s not available?. So he went on trying to ask 20 questions such as: when ?I? would be home, when to call? He said it was a serious legal issue that needed to be resolved asap. So I said ?she?s not available, call back? and hung up. So the guy called right back and I let my voicemail pick up. He left a message saying his name is Michael Jones and this is a serious legal matter that needs to be resolved or he will take me to court. He also said if I do not call him back and/or my attorney, serious legal action will be taken. WTF? So long story short, I did a little searching online and found out that the # 901-328-9338 is a Memphis Tennessee #. He called me before last year, but I could not make out the message he left due to his accent.

When they called it was unknown caller.  This is the call back number.  Says I owe a payday loan from 2005 and said if I don't pay 450 dollars I would be arrested.  They have my bank info., social security, and old email address.  I wanted them to send me papers over this and they said they would send it to me when I had paid in full.  His name was Michael Jones.  Barely could understand him. Wants me to send money gram but won't give me any info for money gram until I get there to buy it.  I reported them to the federal trade commission and they said this was part of a Nigerian scam and not to send any money.

I just got this same kind of message. They have since upgraded their music to the "entertainer." I love this site. I call back just to harass them!! haha.

When I recieved phone calls from this number it came up "restricted'. The phone number they left to call back is 901-328-9338. The person had a very thick middle eastern accent said his name was alan or adam or john watson or wilson. I could not understand him. I had my father who is an attorney call the guy back. when he asked for proof as to why he was calling the guy yelled at us and hung up. We called back and told them to stop calling me or we would report them to the attorney generals office. Supposedly they said they would stop calling. And when you call they don't always pick up the phone right away. And what do you hear but Deck the halls...In June? very bizarre
