These guys faxed me three times in five minutes. Exactly the same life insurance solicitation. The opt out doesn't work.

It is a waste of time trying to report them. I have reported them 14 times to the FCC and it does no good. The FCC is way too busy with important things then to bother with unsolicited faxes. I even tried sending them 50 pages of all black, but I heard that it does not waste their ink because they get all their faxes in there computers and just delete them. It takes them just a click of the mouse to delete my 50 pages but takes me forever to send them.

A total waste of time trying to get back at these guys. Now, I just rip up the junk faxes and throw them in the trash now. Much less aggravation. Time to move on!

I have complained to the FCC every time I get these faxes.  That is the best way to stop these solicitations.  All faxes must comply with what is called an EBR, basically, at some time you have agreed to accept their solicitations by fax and the faxes must include the company name.  Also, as an fyi, if you have responded either by e-mail- an 800# or fax and you recieve another solicitation, you can request a $500.00 reimbursement from the offending company.  If you go to the FCC website, it will give you all the info you need.

got a fax from Allstate Insurance, they think my number is for an agent who used to have it over 3 years ago. their fax number 901-389-4645 was disconected. I tried to fax them back at their number. they say to be removed go to InsurancefaxList@yahoo.com   - that may be bogus too.
I would call and bug Allstate!! Didn't some one say that all faxes by law were supposed to have a toll free fax removal number on their business faxes? Did not appriciate the 5am wake up fax!

They don't use toner.  Faxes just show up on their computer.  All you can hope for is to waste some of their time, but not much unless they have an overwhelming number of faxes.  And none of us wants to spend that much time to harass them.

That's brilliant and much nicer than what I was doing. I'm going to report them to the Federal Communication's commission. I also have returned pages with false info to get them to call some random number and waist their time. I've also gotten so mad I just fax back threatening stuff with lots of cuss words. then I just fax it repeatedly. But I like the toner idea. The email address didn't even work for me.

If we all report them to the FCC they might actually do something about it. But they will need multiple and requent complaints. go to http://esupport.fcc.gov/complaints.htm and file one every time you get the fax.

I wish to Opt-Out at this time so please take my phone number off of your mailing list
