LAURA....its from india its nothing but a scam just ignore it or laugh at him when he calls if you ask for paperwork which is the law he will say he doesnt have to provide paperwork and that is against the law or he will just hang up on you

Someone with an indian accent called my work saying he was officer Kevin Smith from Federal Crimes Investigations. He told me that he had all my personal information and read off the last 4 digits of my social security number. He said I was a primary suspect on an investigation and that if I did not call back I was going to face the worst nightmare of my life. When I did call back, it was a fake number. What can I do about this? The number I was told to call back is 401-223-3503

A middle aged sounding woman called asking for my husband by his nickname.  She had no accent to speak of.  The line is in my name for my business so I just acted like she was calling a business and had a wrong number.  Glad I did after reading these comments!  Also, she was busy chatting with someone when I picked up the line and it did sound like a call center setting.  Hope they are busted soon.

Called a place of business looking for someone named Joseph.  He left a msg on our voicemail.  
He was a man w/a heavy middle eastern accent.

He stated the following:  Officer Ian Bishop calling from the Federal Crime Investigation.  Call me back before something goes wrong with you.  24 hrs, cops will be at your address & employment regarding legal matter.  Case will go to county court.  Big legal trouble.  Call before something goes wrong with you!

So, I decided to call this guy back because it was completely obvious this is some sort of scam.  When I get in touch w/him & tell him that he called the wrong #, he says "oh ok honey, no worries honey. I love you"  & hangs up.  Wtf?!

DEFINITELY A SCAM

This person claiming to be an officer of some company saying hes going to file a lawsuit against me if i didnt pay over the phone with my visa/master card. This seems very suspicious to me because I dont remember owning anyone anything, hes harrassing me and threatening to press charges if i did not pay.

Person from this number called with a HEAVY Indian accent. Claimed to be from the Office of Kevin Smith with Federal Crime Investigation.

Ditto.

I guess he didn't get the memo that his name is out there, and people aren't falling for it.

A man with a heavy india accent keeps calling my phone saying I owe for a cash advance  from October 2010 which is not true .now he is leaving messages if I dont call him back something bad is going to happen to me at home, work or it will just be a surprise. I am glad I goggle this #. I am going to report this person tomorrow morning.

This Idian accent man "officer brown" keeps calling my mom demanding to pay $600 for putting false information online (which is not true) he said its now a dept she owed. He told her if she didn't pay she would be arrested in the next two days. When she came to me with this story i laughed and said "wow whos this Idiot". Hes also made calls to family members threating them about her not paying she would be arrested. This is obviously a SCAM and hope no one follows through with his lies. he calls today and said if you dont call me back you would now own $3,000. So today when he called again i anwsered, him thinking i was my mom he said "hello this if officer brown you need to $1500 or there will be a arresnt made. (YOU DONT GET ARRESTED FOR NOT PAYING A BILL) I said i dont know how many names you have but im letting you know this call is being recorded for qulity control and he hung up. He better be scared he dont want to hear what i have to say to him.!

Received call at work from Officer Shawn Becker left message with Personnel.  I called him back and told
him that they needed to send me the paper work and that I have called the FBI.  He hung up on me..

my guy said his name was kevin smith from the federal crime investigation office.  heavy indian accent, so obviously he isnt kevin smith and this isn't valid.  rather threatening actually, saying i would be arrested and i needed to have an attorney call him.  first of all, you wouldnt be arrested for owing a debt...  you could be sued, but considering he isnt even in california, and i have not received any papers, this makes me laugh.  i'm not proud of my situation, but these jokers have got to stop.

Received phone call from this number stated I needed to call them back and not ignore this call.  Call  was in ref to a family member involving fraud with my name.  Called them back and couldn't understand person heavy accent and lots of background noise.  Was told they had spoke with family member and to please excuse the call I in turn asked for supervisor name rep got upset and started talking heatly and repeated comments about excuse the call.  Rep did say supervisor name was Sean wouldn't allow me to speak with them.

there is a man by the name of officer Shawn Becker and a John Brown and a supperviser Travis they claim to be from fedral crime leagal investigation and say to call ext 150 but no one is there they r asking for my mom and they have my moms ssi and her phone number and sevral other family members number and her email address and her wk number WTF they said if my mom did not call them with in 2 hrs she will be arrested...

They keep calling me saying my social security on the answering machine. I think its bull. ANd need to stop.

I also received a call from a man with a strong accent who identified himself as "Officer Sean" from the Federal Crime Investigation unit.  He was leaving the message for me as a "friend or family member" of someone else and couldn't even pronounce the name.  Wanted me to pass the message along to have her return the call or there "could be legal consequences".  I will be reporting this to the proper authorities once the offices open.

I also received a call saying I was a prime suspect and if I didn't call they didn't know what might happen to me. Who do we report these types of calls to?

Person from this number called with a HEAVY Indian accent. Claimed to be from the Office of Kevin Smith with Federal Crime Investigation.  Demanding that I cann back in 24 hours or my case would go to the district court.  I had to stop myself from laughing as I listened to this.  I will be calling them just to get the company info so I can report them. After all these kinds of threats are illegal as is leaving a ssn on a message recorder,  which they did also.  

Far as I have been able to find this is a company based in India..
