The Do Not Call List is a huge waste of time. I have reported nuisance calls more times than I can count and does no good.

We refer to these guys as the fake firemen. I also had the guy yell at me and hang up. I asked our local consumer reporter about this group and he said they are not legitimate.

I received a call from this number this evening and tried to call it back because I couldn't get to the phone right away. I tried three times to call it back, and it never rang at all. I googled the number and found this thread and I'm glad I did! I won't be answering this number or trying to call them back ever again!

I am getting a least 2 calls from these people every day.  I told them I wasn't interested more than once.  What do we do to get these people to stop calling us?

Called at approx. 1:33 pm today. When the phone was answered, no one was on the line. When the phone # on the caller ID was dialed, the recording played about 'this # cannot be completed as dialed'.

OUR PHONE # IS ON THE DO NOT CALL LIST. Why are my privacy rights not being protected as stated by our US Government?

This is a scam of the highest order! I've been called several times, and without a doubt those calling are among the least educated, poorly spoken group of trash one could get. Now that it has been established Obama is recording every phone call being made in the U.S. (number from: number to-at a minimum) it seems the FTC would be able to easily establish where these calls originate from, who is making them etc. I'm on the FTC no call list, I do/and have filed a complaint(s), it appears that the average citizens rights are not really a priority with this administration, as they are already collecting all the data! The FTC doesn't do its job, Obama's justice dept. doesn't do their job, there doesn't seem to be anything an average tax payer can do.

They called after 8pm, this is a no-no, use call block. if i give money to anyone it will be direct, not on a phone-call or internet-msg.

My elderly mother (who lives with me) answers and they ask for me.  They will not tell her who is calling and hang up.  From reading the notes - it must be a charity, police, or firefighters.  It is my understanding the Firefighters and Police do not solicit?

THEY CALLED ALRIGHT AND THE ONLY THING THE GUY SAID WAS, WHATS UP MAN? THEN HUNG UP THE TELEPHONE. I TRIED THE CALL BACK NUMBER TWICE AND THE NUMBER WAS NOT IN SERVICE.

When I picked up the handset all I heard was "hold" music.  After 10 seconds, I hung up.  No call back.  Will not answer again.

Quickly yelled something unintelligable and hung up. Perhaps a trick up to have person call back on ID number. I certainly won't.

You should be glad you didn't answer..its from Memphis and Shelby county fire (which is a firm calling for them) The guy who called me was rude (how dare I ask them to take me off their list) yelled at me ( how dare I ask them who they are) and yelled at me he was going to send some one over and see if my house was with in code. So I better contribute. When I said no he yelled again he was going to send some one to my house...

go a call from this number, did not answer the phone, they did not leave a mgs.  If it is a charity, it not that important to them, if they dont leave a mge, like St Jude.

YES! Over and over they call and say something unrecognizable. Irritating, to say the least. Can't this be stopped???!!!
