Claims to be of Memphis Fire Department. Told him I was not interested. Future calls to me blocked. Caller ID listed as from Bartlett, TN

Just received call. It rang twice and had already disconnected by the time I answered. I  told these so-called Firefighters many times to stop calling. Caller ID showed Bartlett, TN.

Your marketing associate may be expert in compliance in a lot of areas, but you are definitely not in compliance with the 'rule' that requires your caller id to be delivered.  You are spoofing/modifying your caller id originating from the zip code area 38110 to indicate your call is from 901-969-4881 and others in the 901-969-xxxx range.

Plus you are required to maintain your 'own' DNC list if you are, in fact, not required to abide by the National DNC list.

I support and maintain many key switch systems with integrated auto dial, some of which are reputable telephone marketers, and even doubt if you are associated with the Memphis Fire Fighters Union which is a reputable organization with reputable members.

The only way for you to be made to comply to rules and laws set out for your industry if for all the people complaining to submit a formal complaint to the AG in your area citing the phone number above as the source and the charity representing themselves as Memphis Fire Fighters or just 'local' Firefighters Assoc.

Just 'talking' about this issue on this forum will not get it resolved.

No vehicle is stalking you. Unless you are a suspicious paranoid--in that case, a vehicle IS stalking you. This number is from 5150 Stage Rd Memphis TN; they raise money for the local Memphis Firefighters.  They sell tickets to concerts at the Agri Center and have been doing it for 25 years; the money goes to provide coloring books to local elementary schools and helps the Burn Center at the Med.  They use a dialer system--that explains the hang-ups.  If they are on the phone and you answer---it will hang up if nobody is able to talk.  They ARE on the UP & UP; they're legitimate; just raising money for the local firefighters and the community...unless of course, you are a suspicious paranoid.

Actually you're not. Read up and have annual compliance training. Try a different approach, be wiser in how you do business. Be ready, it's coming. One more call please.

Place your number on the DNC list them sue them if they keep calling. They don't scrub their numbers. Big FCC violation. They keep callings me also, I'm in the DNC list, they're fixing to get a pretty awakening letter, then judgement. I hope they see this.

Look, you idiots, ... these A$$WIPES may claim to be collecting for Fire departtments, etc, BUT the facts are they may give the Fire Departments a few pennies out of each dollar collected, if that much.

The Fire Departments will ok them because it's no skin off their tails if these crooks collect $500,000 from dectent citizens and give the Fire Department a couple thousand and keep the rest.

I've told them to stop calling me a hundred times. I bought some tickets from them 15 years ago. They still call after I tell them not to. It is a scam if they won't take no for an answer. It's harassment.

Just had my second call from these clowns, told me they were "in the neighborhood inspecting roofs" post storm damage. I told them I didn't have any damage. He said, "did you have your roof inspected?", and I said that I did and hung up. He had an accent of some kind and sounded like he was talking in a tunnel.

Got a call from this number, as soon as I answered, said " GIVE ME YOUR SOUL" and hung up. Germantown, TN.

I've told them not to call me. They have caller ID like everyone else. They already have your number.
They are worthless people. You can't harass people and force them to buy your crap. They are going to say that you gave them your number so they can call you more.

This is correct, I called the 901-324-9010 number and they say they have now removed me from the list.

This is a scam stay away. I can't go into detail, but the St Attorney has them on their radar. Also, most of the Firefighter charities are scams as well. Check out how much of your dollar goes to the actual firefighters. If you want to give; please stop by your local fire department and drop off a donation. I'm sure you drive past one every day.

I just received a call from this number.  The caller, yelled my last name, then the line went dead.

No valid Fire Department or charity will call at all hours and hang up.  I don't even believe your post is valid.  If anyone is in doubt, they should call the fire department and tell them about the calls.

Recieved call from this number ,no one said anything . I don't know this number or who it is calling me . How can I stop these unwanted phone calls ? I Don't know the company that called .

I have been getting calls from these guys for a few years. I contacted the consumer reporter at WMC-Memphis, and he informed these guys are NOT legitimate. I refer to them as
"The fake firefighters". When my children see this number, they say it is the fake firefighters don't answer.

I have confronted these guys with the information I learned, they cussed me out and hung up. Does that sound legitimate to you?

Repeatedly calling someone can be considered harassment in most states; so you may want to just remove numbers that don't answer from your call list, else you will indeed find yourselves on the business end of "do not call list" penalties.

Um, no, that's not the truth.  I've been called up to 4 times in one day from this number.  If you work/volunteer at this organization, please take a hint and stop calling people if they don't answer.  And if you have no control over that, then please pass on the message that we who don't answer are not interested.  Repeatedly bugging us isn't going to make us more likely to give your group some money.

MFF: I have my recoded message from this number including some very unwanted comments. Do you want a copy of it? I wish to be removed from this solicitation from now on. Where can I email or call? I try to contact that number and cannot.

I just received a recorded message with some serious slang in it. the individual is obviously talking to a buddy of his and cursing into the phone and it's NOT appreciated. I have Vonage so I have a digital recording of it.

If you say NO they will not continue to call you, 2 times a year and that is all.  And nobody is ever called more than 1 time a day.  Just say no if you do not want to help, and sorry if there is hang ups.  We call on an automated dialer and sometimes if everybody is talking, and you answer, it will drop the call.  Not on purpose, but we have been doing this for 25 years and it is here local.  So just say no or leave your number here and I will be glad to take you off the list.  I will check one time a week

Leave your phone number amd we will take you off the calling list, but we are exempt from the national do not call list
