March 21 2014. Women with Indian accent tells me she is calling from Microsoft and I have a problem with my computer.Then asks is the computer on so she can tell me what to do to fix it. I just hang up. Today this no. has called twice and hung up when I answered.

I got that call a while ago and humored him to the point where he tried to sell me a Norton virus program for over $200 bucks, I then hung up on him

This "Free Cell Phone Tracer" is and advertisement for a free trial that you have to cancel or they will charge you 19.95 a month

Unsolicited call about my computer having problems

Just received a call from this number.  It was a woman with an accent (Indian?) who told me the name of the company she was calling from, which I didn't catch but it was initials.  She then told me that there is a problem with my computer and asked me to go to my computer and turn it on so she could show me the problem.  I said I was not interested and she hung up on me.

And an unknown number just called who says he is calling from PC Support and Services and my computer is downloading a virus.  He said he was calling from Singapore and that his company is in charge of Windows support.  When I asked him how he knew what my computer was doing he said it was because I was part of the windows family.  I argued with him for awhile, then hung up on him.  He got quite aggressive with me.

I'm having the same problem the same fake accent and the hang ups is there no way to stop these nut jobs.  

Hey all. Number shows as belonging to Bell Aliant. Did a follow-up with someone who works there and the number is indeed spoofed so it's not real and they can't trace it. Best option is to record the date/time of the call/s, block the number if you can, and then get in touch with the RCMP. Here are a few different ways to do that:

Silence after answering...

Just received a call 10 mins ago....asked for my husband. I said he wasn't here and if there was a message. He said bye and hung up. Again, probably phoning from Karachi, Pakistan.

Just got another call from them also, it`s not the first time and then I found this site... Same here, I can believe how stupid they think we are but I`m sure they are getting some people as they keep calling.  I just told them to take my number of their list and that I will call the cops if they call here again.  He told me, have a good day, then hung up...What a bunch of scumbag!

I picked up phone right now.
But, they did not speak ... no sound.
I am so angry!!!

Received a phone call from a male with an Indian Accent you did not ask for anyone directly by name but advised that their server had been receiving various error messages from our computer's IP address.  I knew it was a scam but let him go on for a bit...The male attempted to gain access to the computer but I shut him down and advised him that we own a Mac and to get a real F**Kin job and to stop scamming people.

Just received a phone call from this number, because it was local and the first day of school I answered it (just in case).  A man with an accent said he was calling about my computer, and I asked why... he didn't respond but instead asked me if I was the primary owner... I asked why again... he didn't respond so I hung up.  I have now blocked this number from calling me in the future.

i just got a call from 454 7030 - local nova scotia #....telling me i had a virus in my computer....i knew where this was going so i said never to call back and hung up. obviously doing all kinds of scams  from this #

Just got a call from this number and didn't answer. Tried calling them back but it just rang and rang.....no answer. Another caller to add to the blocked list I guess.

my son answered the phone.  caller asked "is this ___________"? (a mispronunciation of my last name).  The woman spoke with an accent.  My son asked her to repeat the name 2 - 3 times.  He handed the phone to me and the caller hung up.  I tried to return the call but my number seems to be blocked - cannot return the call.

Just got a call from this number 10 minutes ago. Didn't answer the call. Immediately checked the # online and saw this thread

A man called with an Indian accent telling me he was from Windows and that my computer needed a check up.  I had him repeat that just because he was hard to understand.  I told him that it's strange, because I'm running Linux.  He said sorry and hung up.

We just received the same call from the above number. We have been getting calls 2 or 3 times a week from different numbers on the same issue.  We have been polite and told them to stop calling and down right rude but they still call.  My husband has been told today that if he continued to use bad language he was going to contact the FBI. He said that is ok as I am calling the police.  Needless to say I called and notified the police.

Yes I have just got a call and a few days (Friday) another one I didn't answer it but I noticed that they didn't leave a msg. So I looked it up and here is the info I got.

Got a call from this number tonight.  Kept telling him I couldn't understand what he was saying, had a bad connection.  After the 5th time, he got frustrated and hung up.  lol

I just had this "Peter" guy call me from the same number.  Idiot told me he was in the UK and that my computer was going to crash because windows was compromised.  I played with him for a minute or 2, just to humor him and ask him so what do you want? My credit card, remote access to my computer.  He kept going on my computer crashing.  I told the moron I was using a MAC and hung up on him!

Just received another call from 454-7030. I get at least one call a week. I am tired of it. My home number is on
the do not call list and I'm still receiving calls. It's usually about my credit or my computer. asking me to except their offer to fix my so called problems. These people must think we are all idiots. Knowing now that most companies names appear on your caller ID. If anyone seeing this number just hang up, hopefully they will get the hint and stop calling. Any suggestions. Also watch out for this one with your computer, stating they are calling from Mircrosoft and are authorized to fix your computer.

i also have been receiving calls from this #-and when i return the call,itsa always busy...902 is the area code for ns..and 454 is a halifax exchange--but as for who is making the calls is beyond me--any info would be appreciated..thanks

They called my home number claiming that my girlfriends PC was putting out spam and viruses and they needed access to it. They almost had her convinced but fortunately she emailed me at work. We have six PC's running through the same router, so I explained to her that there is no way they can associate our IP address with our phone number much less which PC.
Unless you are using dial-up there is no way they can trace your PC to your phone number.
I do have one question for these scum sucking filthy untouchables, "Jab tu paida hua tho aagey se ya peechey se nikla tha chutiya?"

I just received a call form 902-454-7030 telling me that my computer had been hacked.  They wanted my to download this program, but a warning box popped up saying "do not trust this publisher" or something like that.  I told them that I did not feel comfortable downloading this.  The guy then got his "supervisor" who kept telling me to click "install".  I again told him that I was not comfortable doing this and that I'd bring my computer in to Future Shop to get checked out.  I then said goodbye and hung up.  They've then tried to call me at least 7 times in the last 15 minutes.  I haven't picked up. It just didn't feel right.  Must be a scam.

Received a call from this number at 9:25 a.m. from a male with a foreign accent on July 13 told me they were calling about my computer, I sais what computer, I don't have a computer, is this another scam.  They hung up on me
