Got a call from this number last night stating it was a call from airmiles Canada and I have been chosen for a Christmas prize, didn't have time to wait on hold to see what they had to say but from what I can see its bogus

I had a missed call from that number I could not answer because I was bussy and I do not Known this number; yestarday   Jun 12 /2011  ) I was talking with a friend and he said that I have to go online and get information about this  number and IF it was needed I could do a complain for that , because some people were doing wrong use of phone number ( Nobody call me from a 902 phone area )  I had the missed call on   Jun 3, 2011 at  2:17 PM. I work for Westjet and I got a call! It's a scam, DO NOT give them any personal info, especially not your cc info! I wouldn't be surprised if it was the same people that have been doing the Disney scam. Westjet will never call you unless prior arrangements have been made for reasons that you would already know of. If ever you are unsure, call our official number and ask.

They claimed to be westjet, when I asked how they got my number, they said "we don't have that information" and said they could pass me through to someone who could tell me.  So I waited (like a dummy) and all that happened was a couple of beeps and the call disconnected.

These people are ruthless

They could be dialing: 1000, 1001, 1002.. only proper digits number.

It seems that West Jet got Hacked!!!
They knew I was a WestJet preferred customer and also they knew my Cel #!
Do you have an account with west jet? Did you give your cel number to west jet?
I never posted my # on the net so it must have been leaked from WestJet database...
When companies will learn to encrypt sensitive information???????
Is Sony's example is not enough? How about other big corporations that got hacked????
They can not store a credit card in the database by law but your personal info is ok!
How come a credit card number is more important then MY PERSONAL INFO?

my son has been missing and I had this number come up on my phone, with a voice mail saying "to accept " then it cut off.  I thought it might have been a collect call.  This little web page cleared that up for rme

Me too.. I pushed 1 to yell at idiots but no one there. Then I called my cell provider and made sure I can't be charged for international calls incase it is one of those scams.

I just called westjet and update my profile this morning, then i got the call from this number. they are probably the hackers, hack the data from westjet database, pursuaded customer to buy their offers. beware of their TRAP...TRAP..

Getting these calls at home and on cell phone several times on each in May and now June. Very annoying. Thing is, I am not a WestJet customer, preferred or otherwise. I might have flown on WestJet in 1994... (not that I have anything against WestJet - I'd love to be a preferred customer! I just don't go anywhere!!) I do not enter my cell phone number anywhere for any purpose. I suspect that these automated calls are created by an auto dialer...

They called your number because they call random numbers - any  random 7 digit number will do - this time it just happened to be yours.

I have that number showing up on both my home phone and cell number.  I missed the call both times.  I was truly convinced it *must* be someone I know to show up on both phones.

In Halifax visiting nag recvd this call. Tried to figure out who could possibly know me locally. Scam.

The trunk line that the number originates from is located in Stewiacke, Nova Scotia and is owned by TELUS Mobility... maybe we need to get on their a** about cutting service for abusive calls...

They called my house, my cell and my husband's cell all in the same 2 hour span. This is not a random dialer, they got the info somewhere. We don't give out our cell #s except for business and , oh say, travel reservations.

I received this call too this morning. I hope they call back again and I hope it is a person on the other end. They will be surprised when I tell them that I am a Westjet employee. I will have to play with them for a bit though. And to all you who are getting these calls, I am sorry they are using Westjet's name.

I e-mailed westjet and they reponded saying it is a scam. The RCMP know of it.
Westjet says it will only call you directly in response to a enquiry from you. Never call to telemarket.

Actually it is not westjet, because I have not used this number on west jet.. and sometiems they call and say AirMiles, sometimes Westjet, sometimes, Aeroplan, etc etc, they are just name dropping to try to give validity..
