Have been receiving calls from unknown party leaving no message. After the 5th call in one day I hit *69 but number of party not available, so I took the option of pressing 1, calling them and got a busy signal. But the phone number showed up on my billing statement. I plan to talk to my phone company to see if they can be blocked as "nuisance caller"

I got a phone message made to my Oregon USA phone from this number. They were speaking in a non-English language which I did not understand, so it wasn't French, German, Italian, Czech, or Russian.

My 84 year old mother received a call from this number with the same modus operandi as "Flux35" reported.  She ultimately hung up but they kept calling back until my Dad answered the phone and told them he was going to report them to the authorities and commanded them to stop calling them.  They didn't call back.

I received a call from this number Aug. 16, 2012  at 10:43 AM ET.The caller was telling about a new medical card all seniors were about about to get. The caller varified my name and address when I asked him to identify himself he hung up.This call came from a call center and although it is a Texas area code,
I suspect the call center was in another country probably India. THIS HAS SCAM WRITTEN ALL OVER IT.

I got a call about a new Medicare Card to be used along with my old card to add some benefits. They said they just needed to verify that I was the right person. They wanted the name of my bank in my town and the routing number to that bank.  That is all public information so I gave them that.  They then prompted me to give them the account number so they could verify my identity. Of course I refused. It was first what sounded like a far east female and when she felt that she was making some progress she transferred the call to her supervisor who was an Oriental male with a little less broken English,  They both asked repeatedly for my bank information. I told them both that they were having a problem understanding what "NO" means in plain English.. Finally after about 10 minutes I hung up.  A scam wanting to find a way to withdraw funds from your bank

This number said anonymous and Mom answered.  I started hearing her give details over the phone and I said who is it..She frowned at me and when they asked her for her bank I took the phone and started asking the person who they were.  They got angry and rude and after I asked for their company name they yelled at me and hung up.  Mom said they talked about a medical card.

These folks are calling an elderly friend telling her she needs a new Medicare card and they would just debit her checking account. My friend is pretty astute and told them she would just go down to the SS office and get one - for free. What a scam.

My Mom who is in her 80's keeps receiving calls from these people, and she told them she is not interested.  She learned her lesson the hard way a few months ago when she gave them information or a similar call, and I had to close all their bank accounts and put an alert on their credit reports.  It could have been a different number, but it all ends up being the same result, all these people are interested in is scamming our elderly out of all they have worked so hard for in order to have a decent retirement. JUST HANG UP --- DON'T ANSWER! Nothing is "FREE" but the headaches that come with the calls.

Person or persons from this number keep calling my elderly mother about getting new medical cards.  We have no idea what they are talking about.  My mother asked them not to call again, because she didn't want or need their services, but they have called repeatedly.
