Caller ID says Tyler, TX. They called my prepaid cell phone. I answered but no one was there.

Called on my way to work and I didn't answer. Tried calling back and the number I tried calling is no longer in service or is disconnected.

I receive a lot of tellemarketer calls, the NDNCL doesn't work all the time, so I made a TM contact on my phone and put on block call, and they can't call me. I have TM3 now and if i get more I'll make a TM4.

No one sold your number.  The Card Services scammers use a computer dialing system that calls every number in sequence in a given area code and exchange.  It matters nothing to the computer how many not in service, no answer, or voicemail answers occur since an agent only comes online if a live person answers and presses "1" to speak to a customer rep.  While some telemarketers obtain lists of live numbers, many just use computer dialers to blast through all numbers. Only if they know your name is it likely that your number was obtained from a  list and even that is uncertain with reverse caller ID.

Doesn't matter if people know your number or not. Computer programs can be written to execute mass spamming attacks on cell phone networks. It has already happened with text messages being sent to all phones in an entire area code.

I use a prepaid as well, so I appreciate those of you who have answered these calls letting us know what it is.  I did not answer because I never answer unrecognized numbers. I don't even have voice mail (this is pretty much used as an "emergency" phone only).  What is most infuriating is that this is a number I never give out anywhere, only family and close friends.  And it's a fairly new number, so I know that the only business I have ever given it to was a local hospital.  It's pretty obvious to me who is selling my information, which I think is rather despicable to say the least.

They just called (5:50PM on June 4), using the number of a cell phone that I just got a few days ago.  I didn't answer; they did not leave a message.

This Company has called several times over the months and has cost me expensive minutes on my cell phone. I want to SUE them!!!
Please tell me the steps to take because I am so very SICK of them calling and using up my prepaid minutes. The last time when I answered, they told me to "press #1" on my keypad if I was interested. So I did, JUST so I could give them a piece of my HIGHLY IRRITATED mind and there was no answer.
I will be contacting my Attorney.   So so SO SICK OF IT!!!!!

I meant not listed on my phone.. and yes i did block it..

I got a call from this number.. Since their number is listed on my phone i did not answer it. I check online first who it is..Glad i did not answer it as it is a waste of time.

another Credit Card services recorded call . . new number.

another call from "Credit Card Services" . .I've blocked their other nmbers on my phone service provider .. .but this is another new one so clearly, they're spoofing whatever number they need to ge aorund the blocks . . .I have constantly listed these guys for Do Not Call list, but it doesn't seem to do any good.
