I received a txt from this number wanting to buy maltes puppies, any color, they only come in white , cream, same name karen matens @ yahoo.com, I reported it to the ky attorney generals office, scum like. This needs to be locked up.

Just wanted to pass out a heads up to anyone else in the same boat. Apparently these folks are still at it. I received texts about my pups and they sounded fishy from the get go. I am glad others are posting their experiences so we all have a chance to know what others are experiencing. I think that we all look out for each other in that way. Thank you all.

I exchanged texts with these folks about my pups for sale and this was the response I got.

The texts I received read: I want u to know that due to my hearing impaired condition I can only be reach via email and here and I also want u to know that the problem its that I don,t have access to text much on here that is why I want u to email me and I also want u to know that I have already saw the pics on the ad and why I want u to email its bcos of the situation u can just email anything about the it cos I want us to put the communicate via email and this is my email address..

She now has a different number I guess. I got a text from her at 3 am. For a doberman puppy. But I got a different message. I asked her to see if she can wire the money, & never got an answer back. lol! I guess she saw I'm not falling in that little sceam. F*** that. Thank God I searched online and found all this info. fraud....wanting one of my puppies for her sons birthday and gave  me her credit card information, claiming that her computer was unable to open the invoice I sent her through paypal. She also gave me an address in Nevada and a name of Linda Pippin but was using an email by karenmatens@yahoo.com. It didn't add up and left me completely concerned so I have not allowed any payment from her and notified the bank the the credit card information came from so they would be able to be aware of whats going on! She texted me from 360 437 6566

Yes, I got a check she sent but it was from abc company(?) I looked them up, it was a travel company.  And the bank that issued the check was in Boston. The signature was illegible and the sender of the package was a man from ft lauderdale fl. The origination of the package via tracking number was from ft worth Texas. Her number is from Washington state.
The check looked funny, I took it to my bank for their help, they said if was a fake. I took it to the police and filed a report. They told me to ignore the text messages and emails.
Such a waste of time finding a home for my puppy. At least I'm not out any money.

I've been having a great time telling this person how to mail the check to my attorneys, etc.  I love messing with scammers!  Her original text to me was so poorly worded/spelled I knew this would be fun!  Sadly, there isn't much that can be done to catch these people.  I hope they don't have someone actually fall for this scam!  SELLERS BEWARE!!!

I have also received the same text from this person! I knew it was a scam as soon as I read it.. Also there is a guy I received a text from wanting info and said he would send the $ western union!! So be careful a lot of scammers!!

I had no suspicions until this email, I've come across several scams when looking at puppy ads and selling stuff on craigslist, so as soon as I got this email I googled the name and it led me here.  I have her name and contact info saved in my phone now as a fraud for future reference.
