Definitely a scam!! I was also selling a piano on craigslist - sent me a fraudulent cashiers check - I contacted FBI and local police - FBI said they need multiple complaints against this person to elevate action - so if any of you want to help get this Etty Paulson - please contact your local FBI agency and provide them with her name and circumstances of your interaction. Can be done over the phone. This kind of scammer should be stopped! I unfortunately didn't see these posts until it was too late for me to lose money.  Huge Lesson to be learned.

I just received an email from good ol' Etty Paulson myself.  The email is in response to a piano I listed on CL yesterday.  The email asks what the present condition of the piano is (which I detailed in my listing), and requests that I reply with my personal email address, which I thought was a bit odd. Hence, the google for Etty Paulson.  I won't be replying, needless to say.

Just got a Craigslist inquiry this morning at 5 am from this person about my piano for sale... Wish I would have seen this before I answered it.... Thanks for he heads up!

I am so glad I googled Etty Paulson!  I just got an email from this person today in response to my Craigslist add for a keyboard.  How weird! Thank you all for posting. This has been a huge help!

OMG I just googled this name Etty Paulson and this came up......She replied to my ad about my piano, and I have been waiting a month or so to get a check from her too......Now she sent me a email with a tracking # and wants to know when I have receipt of it..........yup I got the same spiel as you......

Same happened to me. I never received any money and today I received an email from Etty Paulson threatening to turn me in to the FBI and CIA for stealing from her. Wow.

I am selling a piano and she messaged me that she would send a cashier's check, wait for it to clear, and then send a guy to pick it up.  The check sent was WAY OVER the amount I advertised for.  Not cashing that check!

Hey, I'm selling a keyboard on Craig's list and Etty asked the same informatio. She/he said she would send a check and then wait for it to clear. Then she would send a shipping company to pick it up. I asked if we could do Paypal instead hence immediate payment but she kind of ignored that message.

I did not receive a phone call yet but the text in the email was suspicious The name matches Etty Paulson requesting more info about me.
Etty Paulson claims she wants to purchase my piano with a cashier check or a money order Is willing to wait till the check is clear.

Phone number in an email response to Craig's List listing.  Definite SCAM.
