Selling a car on Craigslist I got a txt from this number. Took my information and stated a check for purchase price of car ($1500.00) plus another $1000.00 for shipping costs would be sent out to me immediately. 4 days later the check arrived sent from Del Peterson and associates of Nebraska. I texted the man to let him know the check came and was deposited. He replied let him know when it clears. It has been a week and still no word on it clearing or word back from him. Today I found this site. Tomorrow I will be calling Del Peterson and associates to find out if the check is legit.

Got a text from this person saying the following:

"Hey IM Mr From Florida John Mark ... i'm highly interested in buying it asap and whats the current condition of it? ...i would be paying you via PayPal and then instruct my shipper to come for the pick...Do let me have your full name,Email and your home adress so that I can forward it to my shipper for them to calculate the pick up fee and the we would talk on the arrabgement of payment and pick up,hop"

This was in response to my posting on Craigslist. This guy needs to be reported every time he tries to scam someone. People like him are pathetic, trying to cheat other people of their hard earned money. Beware, there are plenty like him who try to scam through Craigslist.

I  recieved a response from this  person and every time I asked to get a call from  him or her  I got no response.  This person is claiming to send a cashiers check to me by mail. I provided this person with my name and address  oops. This person texted me today stating has sent out the check, again I tried to personalize the transaction  but he or she doesnt respond.

Same as above. I told him that I knew he was a scammer then asked him if he scammed a lot of people on CL. He replied "yes, I was trying to do the same to you" CREEPY!!!!!!

This number responded with a text to a Craigslist ad that I posted also.  The grammar was poor and the "buyer" was in a rush to get things done.  They also wouldn't call when we asked them to so we could speak to them directly.  I realized the potential red flags and I am glad I found this website and saw the previous person's post on here.  It helped me make up my mind to no longer respond to the texts and not deal with them.

This guy text me and said his name is Mr. John Mark, he was reply to a Craigslist ad. He said he lives in Florida and wanted my to send him my Email address, Paypal info, and full name. I think this guy is a Craigslist scammer. Be very careful people...
