THOSE  PLUS DOCTOR BILLS IS JUST MORE THAN i CAN STAND   PLUS  PHARMACY BILLS , IT IS ALMOST  TO THE  POINT OF NO MEDICINE OR  NO  PAYMENT THEN ANOTHER  COLLECTION AGENCY. WHAT  CAN  i  DO. SO FAR I HAVE  AVOIDED THEM BY LOOKING UP THEIR  NUMBER  ON THE INTERNET. WHAT  DO YOU RECOMMEND

Indian speaking person left a threatening message telling me to call back or have my attorney call back otherwise he says "I wish you luck". Tried to call back the number and you can't call it back. Called information to find out where the call is coming from. It's from Jacksonville Florida. The number that showed up on my caller ID is 343-729-0397. This number is from Quebec Canada. Information states that these numbers can call into you but you can't call them back.

I get calls from this number all the time.  Has anyone ignored it and what has happened.  They called and said I owe for a pyday loan.  This is the 4th time in 6 months,  I didn't take out that many payday loans that one company would have them.  I want to ignore them but they say its a criminal investigation.

The law needs to go after these people they are doing every illegal act they can and are getting away with it. Does anyone know who can go after them and arrest them for threats? This is extortion.  Just does not seem right you report it and nothing gets done. I would personaly love to be there when the get arrested and "wish them good luck".

Heavy Eastern Indian accent.  They are telling me that I took out a pay day loan in 2006 and it was deposited in a bank account that was closed.  I ask them to send me copies of this loan to validate it and the remark I get is "it's a paperless loan, there is no paperwork".  I told them that if they deposited money in an account, they would have a paper trail.  Have no idea who they are and they keep threatening me that the FBI is going to come and get me.

My daughter has been getting these phone calls for several months at work. She has asked for them to send her documentation and they will not! Her office manager and the controller have both told this Anthony Jones (indian accent)it is against the law to harrass an employee at work. He talked just as rude to them as he does to her! He has also threatened that she would be arrested the next day.  When she told him she had paid all her loans and nothing is showing on her credit report, he told her that the money she paid for this loan was deposited into a closed account.  Today he called her office 20 straight times.  They kept hanging up on him and he kept calling back.  They finally called the sheriff's department and an officer called the number that was given and spoke with this jerk plus his "supervisor" and told them to not call her office again.  If they do, she is to file a "harrassing phone calls" report.  DO NOT give them any personal info.

I have been getting the same phone calls which started yesterday.  But this is from the number 904-239-3969 and the guy calls himself Michael.  Same situation he states that I am being sued $5000 for an unpaid payday loan and that I will be arrested tomorrow.  They have called my family, cell, and work number numerous times.  The guy wont give me any documentation when asked he just states that I will receive it when the sheriffs come tomorrow to get me.  I did find out that it may have something to with Cash Net USA, I think that they have employees there that maybe leaking peoples info to scammers.

These guys called my work and harassed a co-worker to tears. I called them back and they used the same line about a delinquent payday loan. I knew it had to be a scam. These guys have such heavy indian accents that they are hardly credible. They have to obtained my information from a payday loan application I filled out online several weeks ago. I'm still kicking myself! But, what really bothers me is how many other poor people, desperately trying to make ends meet, have been scammed and intimidated into sending these guys money.

i got a call from 858-345-4557 they had all my info phone number at work at home and cell,sos sec number told me the government was involved sayed i owed 852.00 to a pay day loan company but wouldnt tell me the name of the company,had to change my home and cell number harassed me at work until my work said they would call the police for harassment,names they gaved me was rox murphy james davis daniel martines or martinez but had deep middle east voices,been almost 3 weeks and things have slowed down havent heard from them in a week,i hope its over,p.s. they said they were lawyers

2851875969338, this is the exact # that shows up on my caller ID after I failed to answer their 7 calls in succession.  I have a friend with Blackwater in Iraq who can call from one of their lines and have any # he wants to show up on the caller ID.  I know he's calling when it says 777-777-7777, but he has used different #'s on occassion.  They may have the same technology.

Called several times as restricted # on my cell phone today 7 times in 5 minutes.  The number listed didn't make sense so i answered  & stated I was who they were asking for.  Then told me to listen closely as I did (oohing and aahing the whole time).  I was informed that I was going to be arrested for "Violation of Banking Regulations" (pretty generic) & Checks Fraud & Theft by Deception.  I was also told to inform my Probation Officer of my crimes because the state I live in is a Zero Tolerance state (great news)!!!  I have been taking notes during the entire conversation as well.
 MY TURN!!!  I've never been on probation so I have no problem there, I replied.  His reply - then you need give me your lawyers #.  My reply - I have an attorney and I'm not bothering him with this.

 He states that I am funny because I am only an Employee of a Bank and have no expertise in this manner.

DTECH Evolution!!! I received a call at work from them saying they were a law firm calling on behalf of National advance payday,which I never heard of. They said I owed 5484$ and if I didn't pay they would have an officer pick me up and take me to courthouse for fraud and theft!!! The person I talked to said he was an attorney named Jonathon Davis representing National advance payday, they have changed their phone #, because they called from 1-941-961-8518, which has been disconnected, but gave me a callback # of 1-714-333-2981. As others have said very heavy accent and a lot of noise in background. Other names I was given when I called were Alex Brown,Alex Smith,Felicia Jones.

I got the same thing they taken out of my account and was thinking I was being scammed. when I called them and ask what was the name of company..they siad lawfirm , they don't tell me the name of lawfirm and the name of creditors .... they said national payday advance I have not heard of them and I ask them to give me the number of national payday advance and they siad they won't give me the info so I eneded up paying  over 500 to avoid lawsuit. When I check my online banking and I saw the name it was "DTECH EVOLUTION" so I looked up using google , nothing showed and I did the researc using reverse phone number to trace it back to see what kinfdof lawfirm but the name on it is "martha something" so its didn't say what the name of lawfirm. I was confuse so few days later I called again this time their line is busy signal all day long. I think I been scammed don't you think? I called my bank they advice me to let the transaction to go through the phone will show up if there is scammed going on, then file charge dispute then I will get better chance to get money back into the account. Soory my writing in engish is shaking cuz I am HOH.

They won't file anything on you.  Can you imagine if they actually did go to court?  They would be immediately arrested and prosecuted and they know that.  So many people have recordings of these scammers breaking every law of the FDCPA.  They have committed a fraud and have broken the law.  I kind of wish they would take me to court so that I could play all my "recordings" of what they say and what they do to collect a debt.  What judge would actually be in their favor??  LOL!! They have so many felonies against them and they know it.  And they won't put anything in writing because they don't have anything in writing.  It's funny how they tell you one amount and then call again and tell another amount.  What a joke they are.  Then they give you a bunch of BS about fees and legal fees, etc.  That's their scam.

NEVER pay a debt collector over the phone.  NEVER.  And no matter what you tell them about not calling you, they won't stop.  If they were actually "legit", then they would identify themselves when asked, stop calling when you tell them to, and they would send you documentation of the debt in question.  When I asked them to send me something in writing, they said no.  I told them that they could be anybody lying trying to collect money and how did I know that they were who they said.  That's when he hung up on me.  Next time you do actually talk to them, ask them what jurisdiction did they file the papers.  They will lie and make something up.  They will say ANYTHING to get someone to give them money.  They are pretty pathetic, dirty little sh!ts.  And deep down they know this.  So just keep hanging up on them the minute you hear their voice.

I received two phone calls this week. They stated that I owed a payday loan $699. I questioned them and he got hostile. I asked for information to be sent to me in the mail.  I checked my account and did not have anything loans outstanding. Also they called today (6/23), telling me they had filed papers on me. That I could settle on my next pay of $275.The number they gave me was 800-258-8218. When I call that number, they don't answer. Also they called from 321-354-0771.They said a different payday loan today. I spoke to an office, he told me not to give any personal information. They need to put it in writing.

Yes, I've gotten the same calls.  Said I had commited check fraud.  It's all a lie.  They will say anything to get you to pay.  They couldn't even send me any information on this "check fraud".  Said he would send authorities to come and arrest me and I would go to prison.  Nobody has ever shown up and never will.  They feed all kinds of lies and false threats.  They claim they are a law office, but they are not.  Do not pay these idiots and don't give them any information.  They are scam artists of the lowest kind.  Just hang up when they call.

I got a similar phone call a few minutes ago, from a "Michael Something". His accent was so thick that I could not understand it. But he said that a man named Phillip Woods was using me in a check fraud case. He also said that the law office was Jason Reed and Associates in Florida. I told them that I did not know anyone by that name. I hope that they have not called my work, but I am sure that they have. They gave me a call back number of 1-800-253-8218. Has anyone else received a call like that?

they actually debited my checking account for 29.79 plus the .30 transaction fee. i didn't give them the card number this time so they obviously had it from me giving it to them before to pay what i thought was a legitimate debt. i cancelled the card, and alerted the bank. luckily they said that by cancelling the card that they shouldn't be able to raid my acct. again. i really wish i would have looked into their numbers way before i did. it would have saved me tons of money!

Tammy - Unfortunately they won't stop calling no matter what they say.  They are VERY annoying.  If someone else at your place of employment answers the phone, tell them to hang up on these people the minute they hear that thick foreign accent.  They do the same thing to me and our receptionist just hangs up on them.  They call from other numbers too that will show up on your caller ID.  So it's hard to block just one number.  I asked for verification too of my "supposed" debt and they say they can't send it.  They don't even have any verification!  I never took out a payday loan. I never even had a bank account at the bank they say the loan was deposited to.  I told "Shawn Carter" that I would even send HIM documentation from my bank showing I never had a loan.  He would just continue to harrass and threaten.  I've recorded every conversation with them.  All of their phone calls have been sent to the proper authorities.  Whatever they say to you is all a lie!  They will threaten, say they are law enforcement officers, attorneys, crime division depts, say there is a pending law suit filed against your SS#, say they are sending authorities or officers to come get you, tell you to show up for court (they don't even tell you where, because it's a lie), say they can garnish your wages, get you fired, talk to your supervisor, etc etc.  It's all a scam and a lie.  If they were even a "legit" debt collector, they should know the law and the FDCPA.  If someone says you owe a debt and you request documentation, they are suppose to send it.  If you ask for them to stop calling you at work, they are suppose to do it.  They are not suppose to say they are "attorneys", "officers", or threaten you with jail.  They are not suppose to discuss this "debt" with anybody at your work place.  They are not suppose to call family members to discuss this "debt" either.  They break every law of the FDCPA.  Look back at the messages left by "Steve".  He's one of those "sharks".  They say they are following every guidline of the FDCPA.  It's a lie.  Don't give them any money, credit card numbers or bank account numbers.  Just hang up!

I have been receiving calls from an 850-044-7852.  They told me there name was Jason Reed and Associates.  They had heavy indian accents but general names like "Daniel Page" and "Mike Davis"  They are harassing me at work saying I owe a payday loan from 2005.  I told them I cannot have calls at work, the guy told me that he will continue to call me at work and cause trouble for me at work and they only way to stop the calls is to pay the debt.  They gave me the number of 954-358-4084 and 800-253-8218 to call them back at.  They will only accept payments by a prepaid credit card or checking account.  I asked for validation of the debt and they refused and said we don't need that information.

OMG!  The messages they left me were always "good luck" and "drive safely" "because all this falls upon you".  I laughed my butt off!!!  I have it recorded too.  They are so stupid!  One time when I did talk to him (which is recorded too), and the loser started threatening me, he would take these very long pauses and said "you know what" over and over about 5 times and each time I would answer "what?".  I honestly think he was flipping thru little note cards finding something to say in English and couldn't do it fast enough!  It's like they have all these "phrases" written out in English to say to people and when they say it, they are really odd like "drive safely"!  Then he said he would have 2 "authorities with search warrants" at my place of employment the next day.  I said "send them, I'll give them some coffee or take them to lunch"  and "I know this great little place to eat down the street"!  Of course I knew it was a lie.  He didn't even know my address!  And when he said "search warrants", I asked what were they searching for?  He couldn't answer that and hung up on me!  LOL!

It is so unbelievable that they would say you had another loan that you must have forgotten about!  These people have no conscious at all!  I truly think that people like that will get what's coming to them and will have the tables turned on them!  God sees what they do.  I don't know how they can go thru life being like that.  They are absolutely horrible!  I wonder about how many more people they are scamming.  I think that getting the word out about these illegal operations will get them shut down and prosecuted.  The sad thing is that you can never recognize the numbers when they call because they change them so much making them hard to block.  I hope that the instant someone hears those thick accented voices they will hang up!

I didn't agree to make monthly payments, they call me every month with a new amt. and say that i must have let a loan slip through the cracks. and i have told them repeatedly that i didn't think that was the case. i added up what i have paid to them since march of 2008 and it was over 10,000. I hope that someone can learn from my mistakes. After reading about all of the other people on this site, and i have even checked all of the other numbers they have called from and all but one are listed on this website, I am definately not paying them anything ever again. I really appreciate all the information that everyone has provided and I also hope that these guys get what they have coming to them!!
