I keep getting calls from this number, first they call my cell phone then they call my work #.  I missed both calls but no messages were left on my voice mail. I have a mortgage with Chase.

Chase is currently being sued in a class action law suit for these calls to peoples cell phones. They have our numbers on automatic dialers which is in violation of collection laws. I had my loan modified and they not only screwed that up, but lost one of my mortgage payments and now insist I am a month behind. I even faxed the moron's my bank records to prove I have never been late or missed a payment. Been having this argument with them well over a year now and still nothing is resolved.

*Harrasment

I am continually getting calls from this number at very random hours in the middle of the night, very early morning and during the afternoon. I rarely answer my phone unless the number is familiar to me, since this wasn't I never answered it.  Then one time I did and whoever it is waited a few seconds then hung up!

2 days pass without a call from that number, then this morning at 5:30am! I get the call once again.  I called back and says this number has been dissconnected.  Something needs to be done about this hattasment!!

This *is* Chase.  They've called me several times in last few days.  Based on other reports / other sites, I was sure it was a scam.  But I figured ok let's see.  I answered the phone saying, "Hi this is Kevin..." (not my name) to see how they would react.  They immediately said, "Hi I'm trying to reach [my name]... this is Mr. so and so from Chase..."  

The reason I continued the call is because I have submitted a modification request from Chase.  The reason I know it was Chase is because they said, "We're looking at the profit and loss statement dated January 12, 2012 that you provided and we have a question on some line items..."  Now, the items they provided they were exact on in terms of amounts.  I had the paperwork in front of me, and they were reading the same document.  It *is* what I had submitted to them, and they were asking for some clarification on some items.

The gentleman said he was the underwriter.  I had actually always heard the underwriter cannot speak directly with you.  But I *have* been in contact with Chase Executive Offices, so I think it's contact from there.  What they are doing in Florida per se... I don't know.  You would think it would be Ohio or something where their other main offices are.

The gentleman was very polite during the entire call, and said Chase was simply trying to get clarification on information provided.

But this *is* Chase.  

(To other posters who said it said Chase, and then turned out to be someone else, you know there are programs you can buy to fake your caller i.d.  I know, because I have seen people use them.  That's another reason why even if it says X... I don't necessarily believe it's X until they can somehow otherwise verify it...)

I received a call today, Sept 26, 2011 from 904-281-3900 which showed caller ID is "Chase".  A woman named Irene left me a message regarding 2 positions at Chase.  I hit the redial button on my phone, and redialed 904-281-3900 and the disconnect message was given.  Irene left a different number to call her back on:  904-462-1280.  She did not answer, but has a message stating that she is from "Chase Recruiting".  I did apply for a job with JPMorgan /Chase and did receive an email message as well!    I do now wonder if this is a scam -- as when on-line filling out applications, she now has my home address.

THIS IS FRAUD! We verified it once we called the actual Chase company rep. we deal with and they confirmed that this number had nothing to do with them. Do not give out any information out. We are currently working on a loan modification and these ppl will try to take advantage of anyone. Please stay on your toes and keep your guards up! My mother in-law is the one who is dealin with all this and I told her since the begening to be extra careful as there are many FRAUD companies out there trying to get your very personal information. They also gave a fax number 1(866)282-5682, again, do not give out ANY information. These people should be investigated!

Received a call from this number. The caller i.d. showed, "Chase" and since we just sent in paperwork to Chase for our mortgage refinance process, I assumed it was a legit call from them. The man started by reading a disclaimer that started with, "this is an attempt to collect," which made no sense and didn't fit our situation. So, I stopped him and said, "why are you calling me regarding attempt to collect? We don't owe on anything." He then started to get rude and ask sarcastic questions such as, "Ma'am you have a mortgage don't you? Isn't that a debt??" I went on to say yes, but we are not past due on our payments so why are you calling me. He said he could not get into the details until I verified some information - he wanted me to state my full name and give the last four digits of my SSN. I said I could confirm some info but I wasn't going to give any. He got upset and rude and really sarcastic then. I finally told him that the call was highly unorthodox and a poor way to conduct customer service. Then he said I could terminate the call which I did. I put the number into the Internet browser and discover they are not Chase at all. How can they use "Chase" in their number i.d.? We were very close to dropping Chase altogether based on this rude man presenting himself as a Chase representative.

Were contacted from the number listed on this post about an account that doesnt exist. Caller identified themselves as chase bank. Would not divulge any account numbers, didn't know my personal address. It was a ripoff attempt and glad I did a search here to find out it was a scam.

Received a voice message on my voice mail from a person from the above number, who did not identify themselves, nor state their reason for calling, other than to say they are "looking for your sister." I am not sure what it is they are after or who they are looking for, but certainly to call anyone stating they are looking for their sister with no reason given and no identification, is incredibly inappropriate. According to search, this number belongs to WAMU.  Shame on WAMU and I certainly would never do business with the likes of a company like that.

This is a collections for either WAMU or Chase Bank.  They keep calling my cell phone.  No messages and if you call back no one answers.  I never had a mortgage from them and don't owe them any money.  I blocked the call.  We'll see what happens.
