Foreign man called my cell phone said I would be put in jail if I didnt pay 500 dollars today. spam

WHAT DID YOU DO TO INVESTIGATE THESE PEOPLE

a foriegn man called my work and said i was wanted for fraud i call my local police upon there investigation this is a scam. they told my boss they would post it in local papers that my work wouldnt let them talk to me.
IF THIS WAS A REAL COP THENWHY DID TWO DIFFERENT MEN CALL FROM THE SAME PHONE AND THIS PHONE NUMBER IS A CELL PHONE. MOST BUISNESSES WOULD HAVE A LAND LINE BE SMART HANG UP ON THEM.

Yes, the guy is full of b.s. about where he's calling from but he has been calling me too. It is not identity theft. Your son may have done a pay day loan or pay day advance over the internet. that is how he has your son's social and checking account information. If he did not fully pay the loan back, they forwarded his information to that guy so that guy can call and harrass him and scare him up for the money. Your son need to go back and find out which loan he took out.

when i called back he said he was the only one working in his department and got mad because i would not verify any information so he hung up the phone in my face so i believe this is a scam

I got a call from these guys about some legal case...i first thoght they were fraud , but after investigating , i found that they were real, i resolved it finally resolved. I am happy about that , and i would let u guys know that they r real plz resolve the issue with them......

Foreign man left message on my son's phone threatening him with prosecution for check fraud and federal banking deception.  Beware of this number, this is a scam!! The other number given on message was 760-406-9340, beware of it as well as it is the same person at both numbers.  It appears to be a product of identity theft.  They somehow had my son's checking acct information in addition to his SS#..Be careful!!!! The man claimed to have been an Officer Louis Martin from the United States Federal Bureau of Investigations and said that he was investigating a legal suit filed by Arrowhead Investments.
