Left no message.  Another anti-telemarketer board contributer claims that this is a fundrasier for the Florida State Police, but that the State Police denied knowledge of it when the poster called.

They just called again (11:21am EST on Labor Day), to which I immediately answered with yelling "Stop calling this number!" and someone came on this time. He asked if this was the recording. I said no, and that this number always hangs up with either voicemail or with me answering. He said, "I would never do that. this is George Hartwick with... " and then the line dropped him mid-word as if the computer hung up on him anyway.

In the past several weeks received multiple calls from this unknown caller.  No message left on my voicemail.

I've been getting these calls for a month now, but they seem to have taken a month off, too. Last month it was New Orleans, LA on caller ID every day.

I'll call these bozos as soon as I verify to be sure.

I got a phone call from this number 1-904-332-9990 @ 8:43 pm  Sep 3, 2009.  I did not answer the call but called back and got a recorded message saying this number was out of service. How could this number be out of service, it they just called me using that number.  I usually don't answer the phone when the caller ID says it's out of area.  And I never make donations over the phone to anyone who calls this way.  Dr. Leon - Miami, FL

I ust got a call at 8;49pm, Sep 3.  I did not recognize number, so I don't answer it. And if any of you telemarketers read these comments, your sh-- out of luck! I NEVER, NEVER answer the phone if caller ID shows:  Unkbown, Unknown name, Private, number I don't recognoze, TOLL FREE, etc.  So, if you're trying to peddle something, go take a flying f--- at the moon!!

3 days in a row got a call from this number. 1st two I didn't answer. Tonight's call I did answer and a man on the other line was asking for me by name, but all I kept asking was who is this, who is this, and then he just hung up.

Received a call from this number. When I called back a recording advised that the number was disconnected.

Just got a call from them. Answered, no one there then disconnected. A few minutes later my phone showed a voicemail and it was from the same number. The message was just background office noise. No actual message.

in palm beach county, fl got a call at 9 pm friday night 2 times   hung up when we answered

Go to www.sunbiz.gov  to Dept of State in Florida and do an on line search.
I believe they also do skip tracing, asset searches etc--most of these fly by night charity companys do --can't make enough from donations!!!

I've been getting calls from this number numberous times each day.  Seems like it just started during July and August, but it's driving me crazy!  They phone in the am, afternoon, and evening each day - and of course I'm on the DO NOT CALL LIST.  They just hang up when the answering machine picks up.  I refuse to answer.

Does it do any good to contact the Do Not Call List with these types of calls?  Does anyone ever do anything about these offenders?

Great to have a site like this.  It always helps to be able to look a number up and see if others are having an issue with the number or if it's a legitimate call.

keep getting calls from 904-332-9990 shows as With Community Services on ID no one says anything.On callback recording says the number was no longer in service..yet it keeps calling

I never answer calls where I don't know the number. This number just came up and when the machine picked up there was a dial tone. Unlikly a debt collector but a telemarketer scum

I'm getting calls from this number too. Nobody says anything they just sit there then they hang-up. I'm on the National Do Not Call List and these jerks still call! Whats the use of the National Do Not Call List if its not enforced? Just another way to waste our tax dollars I guess! And never never donate to those charities that claim to be law enforcement related. If you want to donate to the Police Department Charities, contact them directly and they will instruct you on how to do so.

Keep getting calls from this number but never leave a message. If it is so important leave a message or send something in the mail.

I have been getting the same calls. I live in St Petersburg. If I want to donate to police, fire, etc. I either mail them a check directly or bring one in to the office. The Police, State Troopers,  and Fire both discourage against giving to those organizations.

Just a note the people that call do not work for the police or fire comapanies. They are hired help.

Unknown caller from 904-332-9990, 6/23/2009, 7:39 pm. Unidentified male called claimed he was calling on behalf of state police organization.  I said he sounded like a con man.  State Police in Florida warn again agreeing to giving any money or personal/credit card info to phone solicitors.  This guy became beligerant and then hung up.  If he calls me again, I will travel to the Jacksonville area and hunt him down.  Meanwhile, everyone should complain, complain, complain to your phone company about customers like this one who badger their residential customers despite the fact that we are on DO NOT CALL state and federal lists.  I'm assured by State Police that whomever is calling is NOT law enforcement and it is not a "charity" call.  At it's very best, these snakes take 90 percent of "donations" for their operating profit and give little if anything to law enforcement. Hang up on the b*****ds, but give them an earful of nasty first.
