I Believe this is a scam.They took $4.81 from my account without my permission. I have emailed them numberous times and they are giving me the runaround. I have threaten them with the Attorney Generals office which i am still going to do. I also filed A report to ripoffreport.com They refuse to tell me how they got my info, but said they will refund it.I doubt they will but we will see.They are called cheapestthgemes.com

I also rcvd a debit from my acct for $2.81. It was still in pending mode so I clld my bank and I filled out a fraud report. just trying to figure out how they rcvd my debit card info. I have TD bank and live in NJ. Wonder how they are selecting their victims.

FRAUD COMMITTED FROM CHEAPESTTHEMES.COM out of Florida! I received a call from 904-352-1238 a couple of weeks ago on my cell; I didn't answer it because I didn't recognize the number.  I noticed today, 2-8-10 an UNAUTHORIZED CHARGE of $4.81 against my bank card account.  How did they get my bank information and how did they make a debit against it?  This is FRAUD!  I have tried to call them back and all I get is a recording telling me no one can help me and to email them at support@cheapestthemes.com.  What do I do to get this charge taken off?

I have a 4.81 charge on our company credit card. I have called several time and left messages and do you get any response.  Our company has not used this company for anything.

WOW! IT SEEMS THERE ARE ALOT OF SCAM COMING FROM A 904 AREA OUT OF JACKSONVILLE, FL. I almost got scammed out 783.00.   glad i caught it and call the cops, and the BBB.

This was the phone number associated with the charge. They charged $2.81 to my master card on Feb 20, 2009 without my knowledge or consent. I will be disputing the charge.

Upon checking my visa credit card bill, I noticed a $4.81 charge from Cheapestthemes.com.  I called my bank and the credit department said that the charge was listed as a phone purchase  with a keypad type-in of my card number and it was an ELECTRICAL CONTRACTOR from whom I purchased.  I said NO WAY!!!, cancelled my card and the bank filed a fraud case.  So this rip-off artist sometimes poses as an electrical contractor.  Hope they get caught soon!!!

Same thing here in central NJ. Checked my bank balance this morning...a charge of $4.81 for cheapestthemes.com appeared as an electronic transfer on Feb. 18 of last week.  I've never heard of this company nor used its services.  Checked them out on Google then went to the bank and closed my checking account. Now I have to wait two weeks for a new debit card. What a pain. What to do next?

My wife just got hit too. $4.81. I have a theory, since this has been going on for so long now, VISA is actually taking part in the scam. Probably taking money from people with bad credit ratings. Probably also hoping to push some people into an overdraft.

My daughter in Illinois just got hit this week.  Also used paypal a few days earlier.  They're still in business.

this is betty bishop i still have not gotten my money back from pay pal i have all my bank statements where the money was withdrawn for the items i purchased from ebay and paypal says they put the money bak sorry but it is not on my bank statement i even agreed to pay for the items i bought from ebay if that was the only way i could get my money back even though christmas is over it is better then getting nothing like i say i have the bank statement showing the withdraws but nothing showing the money added back so what do you do about this kind of stuff it just is not right thank you for your response bettybishop68@yahoo.com

I was hit by this scam for $4.81 just recently.  I followed the advice within this forum and others in notifying my bank, my state's Attorney General, and the FBI at http://complaint.ic3.gov.  Since I am currently deployed to Iraq, I am not canceling my card until I return home in about 3 weeks.  From all of the reading that I have done on this matter, I don't see that this will result in further issues.  The withdrawals that occur only seem to be a one time deal luckily.  I contacted the website's email address at support@cheapestthemes.com with the following email:



Subject: Refund My Card Now

You are very obviously a scamming "company" that is trying to boost very small amounts of money from people in hopes that they don't notice.  Well, I noticed.  Refund my account for the random debit of $4.81 that you charged to it now please.

Last four of my card: (actually send the last four of the card)
Date of transaction: 01/14/2010
Amount of transaction: $4.81

This is the only information that you will need in order to reverse the transaction.  Do not bother in asking me for anything else.

After doing some research online, I've been able to figure out that you are hosted on the same server as other fraud sites.  If you don't refund my account within a few days, I will be reporting any and all information that I can gather from my research on your "company" to the highest level of government that I can manage.



I obviously sent info in to various officials anyway, but they sending the following email a couple of days later:

We have credited back this account. Depending on the Bank it may take up to 7 business days.

I noticed a $6.81 charge on my debit card. I called and left a message and then did a google search which turned up this site.

We just got scammed for $2.81 from Cheapestthemes.com  We did NOT purchase anything from this company.  Someone stole our credit card and tried to charge us.  The credit card company gave us hassle, but finally let us dispute the charge.  If Visa or Mastercard get enough complaints from a scam-artist - they should prohibit the merchant from charging rights.  If you see 904-352-1238 come up on your card statement, dispute it immediately.  I hope these fraudsters get what is coming to them.

Had a $4.81 charge from cheapestthemes.com on 12/8/09; googled them and found this and other sites reporting the fraud.  Called my bank to report it and cancelled my card (told them it had been going on since February, but I guess they didn't know).  Then filed a form today with Maryland State Attorney General's office.

Just got hit with $2.81 charge in Arkansas.

Yep I got a charge on my bank acct using my debit card from this company also for $2.81. I live in Portland Oregon and have never heard of this company nor do I download ring tones or anything like that. I just had to cancel my debit card and will have to file a claim against them
