I just received a call from a woman by the name of Officer Taylor. She said she was calling from the law firm of Robert Lee Schafer. I never knew that officers spend time at law firms??? lol. Anyway, she also said that I was being sued in the PA court. I asked her for all kinds of info. She tried to give me a PO box but I asked for a physical address instead so I can google search it. She gave me the address of 7006 Arlington Expressway, Jacksonville, FL 32211. I googled it and it is a tire place. No other things around there but a hotel. What a scam. She called from the 904-379-6806 phone number. Please get all the info you can from them and report them. I asked her how she could possibly sleep at night doing this to people everyday? She knew she was caught and has not called me back since.

Riiiight... Not a scam... Uh huh....
This is bogus. These scumsuckers a relentless and they are total bull. Don't pay them a cent. If you do talk to them record the conversation, and tell them you are recording it. Make them verify the debt in writing, they have to, it is the law! They will refuse and try to twist the conversation to something else. When they do that... Tell em to eff off and hang up. They will probably call u back... Freaking ignore them. Make sure your Facebook and other social media accounts are private too! These people will not hesitate call Facebook friends who display their phone numbers. They don't care about ethics or the law... They will straight up tell people they are an investigator looking for you in regards to a serious check fraud crime!! Bottom line, this is BULLSH&T

These people have been calling me, my friends, and my family. They are persistant. They are also full of sh*t! They are a scam!
Kim 2014-04-30 01:28:29 Unknown
Ok people let's stop worrying and become proactive! There are so many if them out there that are not legit it's rediculous . Make them verify there debt in writing! The fair debt collection act makes it illegal for them to threaten you or anyone else that answers the phone. Get names, addresses and creditor if legit. Report them to local, state and federal agencies. Don't! Don't! Feel threatened.
anonymous 2014-04-28 22:40:07 Unknown
So how long have you been working for them??

They are calling for an Online Payday Advance company. They are completely bogus and call my work phone all the time. I tried to tell them this was a business line and to stop calling, they do for a month or so then they start again using a different name. You cannot reason with them and tell them they have the wrong person, they just continue to harass.
MJG 2014-04-18 20:27:07 Unknown
Demand the claim in writing. Phone calls, faxes and emails mean nothing. (Actually asking for a badge number isn't really important. They could give you any number at random.) If in doubt, call your local police department or sheriff's office to verify the call.

They are not a scam just like the Easter Bunny is real!!
jessica 2014-04-18 20:05:05 Debt Collector
they are a scam, they called me and i paid them because i was so scared and i did want to owe a debt, i never got an email confirmation or anything, i had to close my bank acct, because they took more, i went and filed a police report, due to the threats from them, and the policy dept contacted them and asked for a license badge number and of course they did not have one. any calls you recieve like this ask for a badge number and get it verified before you pay them anything.

I got a call from this number, says it is Sandra Rogers from Worthless check and fraud division. I don't even use checks. Who is this, does anyone know?
b 2014-04-03 22:09:15 Unknown
I too received a message from this number but looked up the number and its an individual from florida that's using it to scam people !! BEWARE!! Do not give any info and alert the FCC!!
anonymous 2014-04-03 16:23:00 Unknown
Yes they will threaten you with check fraud. They will yell. They will call names. They will scare. It is a scam. They will give you a fake address that will lead to an empty parking lot. They will often not give any address. Fake fraudulent scamers. When they get your financial info they will such you dry. The original creditor never gets paid.
Amy 2014-04-03 16:13:13 Unknown
Its a collection agency that will threaten you with legal action but they are a scam. They tried to scare me into paying off a debt that was already taken care. Their operator also swore at me. They won't provide a physical address and are just using illegal scare tactics. If you do talk to them promptly turn them into the FTC, BBB, and your State Attorney General and their State Attorney General. There are so many companies like this floating around that all consumers that are contacted by them need to take prompt action so that they are taken care of by the appropriate authorities.
