Got this text saying call me, from a non English speaking person. Broken English. Claimed she was 17, got rude and crude. Advised to stop, no more texts yet. Sounded like a drunk young girl.

The message I got was that an order I had placed had been delayed because it didn't have my card details correct, or something like that.   I was told to call there to set the order up again.  Luckily I didn't have any outstanding orders so I realised that they were just trying to get my card details and then would probably rip me off.

He could be getting info from his place of employment..... It's a long shot but you never know.

I received a call from these people on July 7, 2011, from a man named Bryan Davis, saying I was the primary suspect in something downloaded against me that matches my name and SSN, that this was a time sensitive matter and me or my attorney need to contact them. I will definitely be reporting it to FL officials.

I got 3 calls this morning from this guy...I called the police after I did a search for the phone # he left on all 3 messages...I spoke with a detective who handles fraud and scam issues and he said  the PD can't do anything unless you gave him money or your private info.  He told me that when he gets these types of calls, he just tells them to speak to his lawyer and gives them the local cable company's phone #.  Me, I'm going to refer him to my police dept's non-emergency # (aka, my "lawyer") and have him explain this so called law suit to my police dept.

Same message from Steve Smith saying "you were listed as the primary suspect in a case downloaded against your name and social security number". His number did not show up on the caller ID so the call was not answered to begin with. After we heard this message, he called back for the third time and we answered. He said the same thing again and asked if he could help us fight this. Interesting how "Steve Smith" has such an Indian (not American Indian) accent. We told him to send the complete info in writing so we'll see what happens.

I just spoke with this guy after he left two vm's. I kept telling him (knowing this had to be a scam) that I had a real hard time with dialects and to please put someone on the phone with less of an accent. He put me on hold and then came back and disguised his voice. I told him that this accent was even harder to understand, could he please have someone call me back that spoke better English? Every time he said something I said, "No. Really. I'd be happy to talk with you, but I can't understand you." This drove him crazy. Finally he shouted "OKAY. BYE"

Someone needs to dupe him so law enforcement can snag him.

He was "Officer Roger Hardy" from the "Carlson Law Firm" phone: 904-383-4379. I am reporting this.

The post above with from private has another number listed. I did a reverse search on that number and three names showed up associated with that phone number. My guess is that he forgot to alter his number before making that call. That is the number that needs to be sent to the police.

My husband received a phone call today from a man claiming to be det. Roger Hardy. This man told my husband he was trying to reach me concerning an urgent matter and financial fraud. He told my husband that there was a law suit against me. I called the number back and the man answered the phone "hello".  When I asked him for his name he identified himself as officer Roger Hardy. He told me that by federal law he was recording the conversation and I needed an attorney.  He told me that  I needed to come to Miami FL for my court appearance.  He was very rude and told me that he would send someone to my home to pick me up and that is how serious of a matter it was. This man had a very heavy accent and claimed to be from Carlson Law firm. I told him that I believed that he was part of some sort of scam and he became very angry, made a few more threats and hung up on me. I called the Attorney Generals office and the Miami police dept. My husband also called the police dept. And they referred him to the FBI. The number he called from was 904-383-4379, so please beware of this person and report him immediately. The last time I checked it was not legal to identify yourself as an officer if you are not an officer.

My daughter received a phone call from this number. She didn't recognize it so she didn't answer. They left a voicemail stating the name "Brian Davis" and a law firm which she couldn't make out because of the thick heavy accent. The individual calling was a woman who stated I was a primary suspect in a case being "downloaded" to my name and social security number. If I don't recognize a number, I always google it and I'm glad I did this time. Even though I knew I hadn't done anything wrong it's still a little intimidating when someone calls and threatens legal action and especially when they involve your family. After reading these reports I immediately logged onto the FTC website and filed a complaint. I suggest anyone who receives a call from this number do the same!

Same story.  "Stan Marshall" called.  Beligerent, rude and horribly aggressive.  Like others here, he picked the wrong woman to try and intimidate.  I was a paralegal for 29 years, so not bloody likely I fell for this.  I am calling the Economic Crimes Division, but here is the mailing address as well:

I'd suggest calling and writing.
