We also got hit with a $2.95 charge (10-14-12) . We haven"t used this account in 5 months and that's all tht was in it...Kinda makes you wonder. I have not given this number to anyone. (maybe the banks have a scam) who know's I will be filling a complaint and going to the bank to file an investagation. Not sure what they will do. Will post what I find out.. Think about it if they get 20 out of 100 peole and there doing it to 1000 a day (That's $ 4,095.) aday..Not a bad income (off us).  hum..

I also bank with Wells Fargo and wonder if someone in the background that handles those transactions (in the middle of the night) could be stealing card numbers and are working also with fraud companies.  It makes me think a "low on the totem pole" worker at Wells Fargo could be stealing card numbers.  This isn't the first time that this has happened to me.  Wells Fargo will send a new Debit card occasionally , and even though you activate the new card, they do not close down the old card,  keeping  it active.  I was once told it is because many people have recurring charges with merchants/companies, with the older card numbers on file,  and the bank does not want your transactions to get denied.

Was just charged 4.94 on an old (destroyed) debit card.  Total fraud.  I did not make this charge.   Watch out for this scam.  The website mentions "acclaimed photo enhancement service"....how do these people get out debit card numbers????  I just don't understand it!!  The card used was a Wells Fargo Debit card that was destroyed.  Could workers in the background at the bank be stealing these card numbers???

Please add me to the list of my Visa Credit Card being charged $4.94 from this "amershop.net". I called my Bank and was told it is a scam and to cancel my Credit Card. This posed a burden for me as it is the only Credit card I had and will take 2 weeks before I receive a new card. Why can't the government find out sites like this and find out where all the money is going! It appears this has been going on for quite some time.

They got me for $4.94. Only have online bill pay and a paypal account, no netflix or direct tv.posts are on here from a year ago, wtf?

This happened to me on August 27,2012.  They charged my PayPal MasterCard $4.94.  Spoke with PP representative and she told me the number was manually entered and I only use my card for online bill paying.  I reported them to the BBBand reported my card as lost/stolen.  Can't access my money for 7-10 days now.  I hate people who steal from other people when all they simply need to do is GET A JOB.

Monthly charges you agree to when you place an order via a website.  These charges are explained in the terms and conditions of the website and they charge the method of payment you provided for the original purchase.  Remember -every time you use a website you agree to the terms and conditions whether you read them or not..   It is a binding agreement

Some special offers like $$ off your current order  are offered by 3rd parties- who have their own terms and condition separate from the original website - these are generally negative option contracts with "trial periods" that if you do not cancel within the trial period (if you can cancel as they tend to make it impossible to cancel) they can charge you the monthly fee.

Again - if you never read this information - you do not know what it is you have agreed to..

They make a lot of money off of lazy consumers who do not read the T&C's and Privacy Policy as well as rarely check their statements for extra charges...

I got hit with a fraudulent $4.94 charge.  What a hassle to close the card, wait for Wells Fargo to resolve, get new card.  How does this creep get the #'s? When does the BBB/FBI step in? Is anyone doing their job?

I just found a charge from this company for $4.94, too! I used my card at a Conoco station in Lakewood, CO jut days before. Other than that, just use it at grocery stores, clothing stores and Walmart. Never used card at a gas station before that and never use it online. Just notified my bank and will be cancelling the card and logging a complaint.

I just noticed a charge from this company on my account, googled them and found this site.  Thank you so much for putting out this information.  I do not have Netflix or Directv but my son was trying to get a Netflix account on his XBox360 and I told him no. I"m assuming that is how my account was compromised.  Calling my bank immediately as my charges are still pending. Once again, THNAK YOU!!!!!

Got the $4.94 charge.  It is a common number used by AMERSHOP.NET.  Nothing to do with any other transaction or accounts you may have.  This is a random, luck of the draw, action by this person/entity.  Contact the bank, cancel your card, get a new one, move on with your life.  My bank won't waste their time on this amount of money, they just ate it and refunded me within minutes.  Smart people like the jack@*# behind AMERSHOP should start real businesses, they would probably make more money, legitamately!
