Got a text saying "Hi Mandy??" yesterday at 4:40

Texted "Hi Eric?" and I asked who it was.  They said if I wanted to know I had to add them on Yahoo Messenger.  Told them that the year 2004 called for them, and that if they distributed my number or contacted me again I would contact authorities.

I received a text "Hey Kelsey" and nothing more.

I got a text late this afteroo.n. All it said was "Hi Janet". I text back "Who is this". There has not been another response. This is my first text message to receive like this. I'm with Verizon, but I don't know about who it is from.

Received "Hey Dan!" text (SMS) on AT&T iPhone 4S yesterday afternoon. Googled the number to discover the same Orange Park FL landline info Lee posted above. It's certainly no one I know, although I'm unfamiliar with potential damage / threats possibly being caused / delivered via inbound SMS without a link to follow within the message. I'd appreciate an education about this practice, potential threats, motivation, etc from anyone with more experience. Thanks

It text me 'Hi Lee'. I didn't reply. I think they might be trying to verify if i'm a real person so that they can sell my 'real person' number to some telemarketers, i think. I recommend ignoring the contact attempt.

Did the same thing to me and my brother in law. I called it and it said it was just a text message number. I know there are a lot of freaks but come on......

I got a text saying "Hey Kaela...". I asked who it was, no response. I doubt it's someone I know base off of what other people are saying. But it's really creepy how they know our names.

Texted my phone saying, "hey Daniel.. " I had no reply

sent me a message "hola, lovely?"
