I just got a 6.93 charge also.  Who are these losers and how did they get my debit card number.  I had to cancel my card and will be reporting this to the BBB.

I went online noticed a 2.95$ charge on my bank statement, looked up Pircarus.net and automatically ready all of your posts, I immediatley canncelled my bank cards and reported this company, thank you for posting your stories here!!

As an update, apparently my email to them bounced. Hmm. Well, I won't be seeing that $2.95 again. I'll pass this info back to my bank. Until then, you guys use the link I provided to complain about them directly to the State of Florida.

I also got a charge to my account for 4.94 that I did not know anything about. UGGHHHHH! How can people get away with this.

Got an e-mail back from Picarus.net asking for my full name, e-mail address and the billing date, stating that they would restore the charge and that the Visa/Mastercard E-commerce Security Division would be notified. I responded with the requested info and made clear that the Florida Attorney General's office had been notified. We shall see how this progresses.

Okay, I've alerted my bank and made reasonable efforts to contact the owners of the website. Now I've filed a complaint with the Attorney General's office of the state of Florida. I recommend others do the same.

The phone number is apparently based out of Orange Park, FL which is in Clay County near Jacksonville, FL.

Yep, BofA called me today.  $2.95 charge from Picarus.Net made yesterday.  Now have to wait for new card and update all my monthly auto-pays and do claim info.  Sucks the big one.

I actually looked at my bank account and notice, just like the others, that 4.94 was taken out of my account from this domain.  I reported this transaction to my bank

$2.95 charge to my account from Picarus.net. Luckily the bank emailed me about a possible fraudulent activity and I checked it.  Unfortunately I have no card for a week.

I have no idea who or what picarus.net is and they are charging 6.93 to my account

i opened my bank account today and i had the charge almost by passed then decided to pull up the site and seen all the notes about the fraud charges so i called the bank and cancelled the card and i have a meeting tomorrow to refund the charge .

I was checking my online banking today and saw a charge from a wierd website that I know my husband and I never used before.  I called him to make sure and then called my card company and they said that these types of scams have been becoming more and more frequent.
We have cancelled both of our cards and are in the process of disputing that charge that was made even though it is only $2.95.  This just goes to show that it pays to be on top of your accounts and check the online banking often.  This is not the first time that a similar event like this has happened to me and I am sure that it will not be the last.  BEWARE!

Well I just got hit with the Picarus scam bug for $2.95.  It compelled me to cancel my card and now comes the inconvenience of waiting for a new card. It seems that they are notorious for doing this right before the weekend. The fact that so many people are complaining about this and this company can still go on doing this is incredible.  The State Attorneys office in Florida should  get off their butts and do something about this.  I will stop writing cause the more i write the more angry I become.  All I wish right now is that I lived in Jacksonville.  Picarus needs to be thankful that i don't.

The exact same thing just happened to me. My credit union is cancelling my card, and I won't get a new one for another week. Even worse, since I don't carry a lot of cash, I have only a few dollars on hand. Even worse, my credit union doesn't have a branch in the state or city I live in. I called the merchant's phone #, but a recording said to contact them by e-mail. I have never heard of this company, and I hope the culprit gets caught. This is so inconvenient for me that I could scream.

Got a 4.94 charge from Picarus.net.  Never called or received calls from that number.

Just got hit with a $4.94 charge.  I am glad I check my bank accounts a few times daily.  I found that my debit/credit card was his and the money taken from my checking account. I work in a law enforcement agency that investigates identity theft and internet fraud.  I will be reporting this.

I received a call from B.O.A. today saying they seen some weird charges.  Usually it's nothing but a purchase at some irregular place I been travelling.  Well I looked at my account and there it was, PICARUS.NET .... $4.95 still processing as it posted to my account yesterday.  I called and reported the transaction as fraud and cancelled my card.  My bank put a stop on the transaction and said if I get charged with it, they will give it back.

Got hit with the $4.94 charge from Picarus.net yesterday.  We did not receive any phone calls, just this charge on our bank statement. So glad we found the fraudulent charge. Having to cancel card.  Very upset and disturbed as we are extremely careful with our financial info.  We WILL be filing a fraud case and pressing charges.

So I emailed the place.  They wrote back statement that they would refund the full amount to my card and that they believe this was charged due to someone using my debit card on their website.  umm....yeah right! My card is in my posession at all times.  Still not going to take any chances. And now the headache of the paperwork and getting things changed for my auto pay

I just checked my back statement this morning and had the same $4.94 charge on it from picarus.net.  Never heard of the company nor did I use any company for pictures enhancements.  Called the phone # and of course there is noone to talk to and instead I received an email address for better service. WTF!!! This obviously has been going on for some time now and needs to be stopped.  Thank god I pay good attention to my statement or they'd probably hit me for more later.  I called the bank, cancelled my card, and will be filling out fraud papers.  We all work hard for our money and for some jerks to come and try it take it from us makes me so mad!! I hope it all works out for everyone.

What is sad is that I never buy anything over the internet and I am very much aware of Credit card theft and Identity theft etc etc.... I work for a local police dept and I am now a victim.
I cant believe this crap.  Why cant people just earn money the old fashion way and WORK for it !!!!!

F****** ht my wife's PayPal card for $4.94 and had to cancel both her card and mine (debit).  This is a known scam according to Card Security - I hope they catch and fry the b*****ds.
