I just received a fax from these scammers at work as well!!!  They use my maiden name (been married over 5 years).  It states thay are retained to file charges against me for a series of bounced checks.  My final option in this matter is an out of court payment.  They are willing to accept almost $3,0000!!  Bahahahaha.  I must pay it by February 10 and I have to call their office by 3pm et today and all legal action will be stopped.  They claim to be a pre-legal firm.  I am reporting them to the Attorney General and FTC now!

I too am getting calls from these people.  they threaten arrest and give out illegal information to anybody they call (people at my work and relatives).  I contacted them and they said they were a law firm.  Cannot verify this as I can't find their business listed anywhere.  Everything they do is illegal.  I also filed a report with the ftc and i am also filing one with my state attorney generals office.  I hope others bothered and threatened by these people will do so also

I recieved a fax from a company called JDS Recovery at my job! They say they are a pre legal firm and I owed all this money because of bounced checks, and I had to pay them today. First of all they are incorrect with their info, their forms were poorly typed and in an unprofessional format. I called the number 9044160769 and spoke with a rude, unprofessional person that kept talking in circles, I guess I pissed him off and he put me on the line with a Anthony Goldstein ext. 308. He spoke nicely, but still would not supply me with anything in writing to prove that they were a ligit company.

I too received a call last nite on my cell phone while I was speaking with my brother on the phone,I just iginore it and they left a voice message saying they were a law firm named:JDS. And they needed to speak with me about a bad check from a payday loan company that they needed me to call them back asap. At first I wasn't going to call, but I thought well let me see what this is all about. And did I get ear full! The first man informed me that they had been hired by Key Bank in California to collect on their past dued accounts. He told me that payments could be set up to pay so much a week, but something had to be done immediately, because if not they would just have the attorney general there issue a arrest warrent for my arrest for fraud, which would mean I would be arrestted, have to bond out of jail, hire a attorney and go to court to battle this out. All they wanted to do was work out a settlement out of court for everyone's good.I asked him when this was supposed to happen,he said in 2008 is when it shows I received this payday loan online.Which is really far fetched, because I was no where around to have internet access, not until 2010. He kept after me to tell him how much I would be willing to pay a week to clear this up.I told him that I have been out of work for the past 5 years, living just on food stamps. He asked me how was I living, paying rent and utilities and cell phone bill.I finally told him all the money that I did get was from selling plazma twice a week.He said he could set me up to pay $25.00 a week, that he needed my debit card number so they could set it up in the computer to come out every week.I told me that I would rather just call in every week when I knew there was money on the card,he said no they don't work like that, that he needed this information so he could show his client(Key Bank) that arrangements were in place.I asked him for more details about the name of the payday loan company,he then switched me over to another man who identified himself as the supervisor and he just kept talking the sameway, even getting very abusive with loud talking and telling me that it was like pulling teeth to get anything from me.He fianally told me okay, that he would just have the attorney general there to issure a arrest warrent for me and that he could guanteed that I would be arrested by 5pm on Friday(today).
Well after he hung up,I turned my phone off. I just remain sitting in my chair, praying to God Almighty for enlightment,at first done came, they not long after I started seeing things differently.I felt that God was revealing to me that first off no local bank would have a law firm clear on the other side of the country to handle their collections, even if they had a main branch out there. The bank would just try calling, then send letters and if no response they basically would just red flag your name/acccount to come back up if and when you ever came back in years later to re open your account up,then they would work out something with you to get that old business cleared up.I took business in high school, have been in the business world for quite a few years and never seen a legitimate business conduct business like these fakesters/scammers do.I know now if and when I receive any more calls from any 900 numbers I will just let them leave a voice message and listen to it and more than likely just delete it and forget all about it.
Oh one more thing he kept telling me that my email address was something on AOL, I didn't say anything, just let him talk.I haven't had any AOL email address for sometime now.

My dad got a call from this company looking for me. They supplied my dad with information on why they was calling for me that is totally against the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act. Then after I told him that I did not owe him for a debt from 2008 he went on to call me vulger names. I told him that was rude and then in response he says let me tell you how I really feal, calling me a looser, little boy, and made threats to call my local sherriffs office.... I told him to please continue so I can record him. He then laughed and hang up.

Oneclickcash may be a real "website" but that doesn't mean they are doing things legally. My husband and I fell for a scam ONCE about a year ago. Never again will this happen to us. Places like Oneclickcash will take all the money you could possibly have and then disappear from the face of the earth. Please beware! These companies feed on people who need money... no matter how big or small the amount. Payday loans are mostly a big scam. You have to be super careful in what/who you give your personal information to. Please research any company beforehand.
No scammers for me!

I received my 1st (and hopefully last) phone call today. I wasn't home to receive the call, so, I decided to call them back. They said that they were with a law firm (no name mentioned) (lie #1) and that my husband was being sued for bank fraud (lie #2). I asked him to give me more information and he asked for my husbands SS#. I said well if you really are with a law firm you would have it and could repeat it to me and I'll verify. He said they aren't given that type of information it's kept confidential (lie #3), so I said surely you have the last 4 digits or something to give me verification that you are legit. The guy told me that when I supply him with all my husbands information he would release the information (What??) lmao!!! So, I told him you can mail me all the information and I'll have my lawyer look it over and he hung up on me. Classy!!! DO NOT FALL FOR THIS!!!!

I received a call on my cell phone from this number (illegal) asking for me using my husband's last name (not my last name) saying I was going to be served a summons at my work and my supervisor needed to be present (illegal) for check fraud (I don't use checks, never have).  Obviously a scam.  No matter how fast talking anyone is, or threatening, or official sounding...you will never get me to call you back.  Keep leaving your messages.

Called my place of work and asked for Kylie. I asked, "Kylie who?" He hung up on me. I called back, asked why they hung up on me when I was trying to find out who they were looking for. He told me to lower my tone and hung up on me a second time. Called back again, got someone else and complained that they needed to deal with their customer service reps' unprofessionalism. He said they aren't customer service reps and if he wants advice on how to run the company, he'll call someone other than me - hung up on me a third time.

I got a call from this guy today. I asked him to send me a letter in the mail describing the debt and all the info. He refused saying we don't send mail from here. What legit company doesn't send mail? In investigating these scams, I found that one of the first things you should do is ask for a mailed letter.....

"A genuine debt collector has five days from the first phone call to send you written confirmation of the debt. Most send the letter first, then call, says Joel D. Leiderman, senior associate attorney with Forster & Garbus LLP in Commack, N.Y., which handles debt collections for creditors."

Someone called me named "anthony goldstein" and said he was representing NASA FCU, my BANK!  He noted an old account number and I told him that account was closed.  He did not know my email address, which was what tipped me off that this guy was LYING.  His call back number is 877-544-4294 x308
I called my bank and they said that he was not representing them, they do not know what he is up to, but to not give out any information.  Meanwhile, a payday loan company has been calling my family members, asking about me.  I don't know how these people can just extort money from folks by calling their family members.  I am reporting them to whoever will listen!!!
