I received similar emails with out a name from a different email and phone number.  But, was asked to send a money gram to the same person and zip code.  Jay Lori 36305.  That is how I found this site.  I googled the name and zip.  Should I be concerned?  First asked to send money gram to Amber Joy Huff and she is now asking it to be changed to Jay Lori.

This sounds like the same thing being done by "Rebecca Reed" with a reported e-mail account of "rebeccareed2@yahoo.com".  The new number being used is 1-484-838-7011.  Many things are similar including inability to return text and follow up language (ex. "accident," "financial clerk").

I received the same scam here in Canada from a woman named Kim Wolat down in Florida.  The email sender named showed up as "Sara Tedder".  I would not cash anything.  If it is someone else's stolen check book then that will come back to bite you or if it bounces!!  My emails said

I have received an email & text from Kim... I thought in the beginning ok, fine Ill take your order, but send the monies first. She sent me a check for almost $2000. The check has cleared my account & now wanting me to send the remainder to some doctor & her products... while she is in the hospital.

hi, this guy is a scammer, i met him threw a date site, he sent me all these lovely emails and then once i liked himhe started asking me to go get check paper and help him send checks out to his clients, he says he is in africa on business and even sent me a fake contract to prove he was there on business, if anyone gets on the complete me his name is mark williams. be careful he is really good and will tell you anything to get you to print checks and send them to people and use his fed-ex account. just wanted to let other women to know he is a fake and a scammer .ty

SHE WENT ON TO EMAIL ME AND SAY THAT SHE WAS IN A CAR WRECK AND WAS IN THE HOSPITAL AND SHE NEEDED ME TO CASH THE CHECK WHEN I RECEIVE IT AND SEND THE REMAINING AMOUNT TO HER DOCTOR FOR HER MEDS.

I just received the same email that the money was coming and that the person wrote the check for too much.  So what did you do with that check?  Trashed it or give it to the police?  I emailed this person back and said that when I receive the check I will be sending the whole amount back because they needed to be for medical bills not Mary Kay products.  What should I do?

Same thing happened to me...I didn't realize it until I gave her my address. I totally forgot about it too and yesterday I than received a $1999.00 check via fedex. She emailed me this morning telling me to cash it and send the rest of the money to her doctor. I can't believe she would think that this would work! I am so annoyed, get a real job!!!

I was talking to my daughter in law and she suggested that it sounded like a scam.

I would like to add to my first message.  This is not the first time I have recevied this type of scamming. I received requests from at least three different people.  They just don;t stop.

I got a message from Sandra Wolat (using 9044434989) on 6/12 wanted me to text back regarding placing a Mary Kay order.  I sent message back that I was in the airport and would follow up. I sent  her an email  on Friday with my website and instructions to go through the website. She sent me back that she could not hear but could read and write with an order of 3 items doubled.  I did send her the info and again advised using the website.  She said in her email that she would have her financial clerk send me out a certified check before receving products but needed my name, address and phone # (funny) she already had my cell phone.  She also added that she wanted me to be her new rep replacing her Avon rep. The context were very much like all the others I have read on this page.

I also received a text from 904-438-4989 with the name of Sandra Wolat.  She aslo asked me to contact her at this email.  Sandrawolat01@yahoo.com This is what she said:  Hello, I am Sandra Wolat i will like to place some marykay order from you kindly get back to me at sandrawolat01@yahoo.com so i can get back to you ASAP with the list of what i will like to order as i can not send them through text..  Thank you.  I will report it to Mary Kay Legal.
