Don't call me again!!!
Gerard 2011-06-06 21:06:29 Unknown
Keep calling almost everyday at 8.00/8.30 am. My caller ID shows FEMTANDPA, 904-547-0508 so I do not answer. How can I stop this?

They're Back........ remember me, Alan (11 Jul 2007 - above)
Femtandpa again. Same 813-464-2356 source # that the above person mentions. As he says, impossible to speak to them. Call the # and it tells you they are on their yearly fund rasing scam and will be calling you later with more details. Please call:
1-800-540-4609
for more details. (before 9pm. Of course the call was 8:52pm)
I emailed dontcall@xentel.com again telling them to remove my number for both of the people that live here. Let's see if they honor that. Of course they will probably come back again next year. Until someone finds out the wire where they are calling from and cuts the Fudger. You know what I meant.
The first post on this page seems to be true. They also, as I said in 2007, seem to someone get your phone number again NEXT YEAR and you go through this all over again.

I am recieving non stop calls from Femtandpa too, from 813-464-2356. Obviously their not legit. I just hang up or dont answer, but their repeated calling is annoying.

busy when returned the call

My understanding is non-profit groups and charities are exempt from the "do not call" rules. These are the folks in the ambulance who save your life while they rush you to the hospital. Not your run-of-the-mill telemarketing scumbags.
Not certain but I believe the fundraising is to supplement their pension fund, which (like everybody else's these days) is probably pretty crappy.
I wish they would back off a little, but they're far less annoying than the you-won-the-lottery-just-send-a-deposit garbage.

These calls are starting to irritate me to no end! It's the day after Thanksgiving at 8:47 a.m. Give me a break!!!

called and wouldnt leave a message
Rosalinda 2007-11-16 13:50:55 Telemarketer
Many of these telemarketers have computers that dial automatically and if someone answers there is no one there. This records the time that someone is at home and will try again at that time. I worked as a police dispatcher for 25 years I tell them I donate to my local EMT's in Palm Beach Gardens and I tell them what I hate about their organizations is that once you donate they don't leave you alone and have the nerve to call back in 6 months for another donation. I called them on this one time I had the check in my hand and gave them the date. Lastly they sell the marketing list of those who donate to other organizations who in turn call you for donations. It really stinks because I sent a donation to St. Jude's Hospital for Children and then all of a sudden many telemarketers called me. They sell the list people who donated. It is all about MONEY. I got the same phone call just this morning from the EMT's and told them why I won't donate. Many of them even have the nerve to give you a difficult time being rude. Nervy of them isn't it.

Embarq has a feature called selective call rejection. It is included in the plan we have with embarq. I set it up and put in the FEMTANDPA phone number...we'll see how it works. I will report back.
How It Works:
To program a number:
A Listen for a dial tone
A Press *60 (dial 1160 on rotary phones)
A Press # (dial 12 on rotary phones)
A Wait for the tone
A Enter the selected phone number
A Press # again (wait four seconds on rotary phones) Hang up
To add the number of the last incoming call to your list:
A Listen for the dial tone.
A Press *60 (dial 1160 on rotary phones) Press #01# (dial 1201 on rotary phones)
To activate or deactivate Select Call Rejection:
A Listen for the dial tone A Press *60 (dial 1160 on rotary phones)
A Listen to the ON/OFF announcement To turn the feature on or off, press or dial 3
To remove or hear the phone numbers on your list:
A Listen for the dial tone Press *60 (dial 1160 on rotary phones) and listen for instructions

They call every day...we answer they hang up.
Judy S. 2007-08-02 17:23:59 Unknown
They call at least twice a week but mine is from area code 407. I never answer the phone unless it's someone I know. Also get calls from "Call Notes" about as reguarly as Femtandpa. I am on do not call list also.
Bev 2007-07-31 13:44:00 Unknown
This caller calls from different numbers. I have received several calls from them this month. One number they called from was407-442-0603. The other number is 813-793-7639.
Jo-Ann 2007-07-26 22:20:41 Unknown
I got the same call. The phone number was 407-442-0602 FEMTANDPA. They asked for my husband. When I told them he wasn't home, they hang up on me. I called the number back within seconds, and I got a recording that the number has been disconnected. ????????????????

Siempre estan llamando a cualquier hora y con malos modales, no dejan mensaje pero mi identificador de llamadas me muestra FEMTANDPA Que puedo hacer para evitar este acoso?
New York PI 2007-07-20 23:48:43 Unknown
Solicitation calls from parties looking for donations are EXEMPT from the Do Not Call law. You can demand they remove your phone number from the list they are using. If they persist, call your local Congressman's office and complain.
easy touch 2007-07-20 00:34:59 Unknown
The call because they want a donation. They've been soliciting me every year since 2001 - the first year I donated!
stevenw 2007-07-18 15:46:47 Unknown
Dear Xentel,
So, what is the exact percentage of a donation FEMTANDPA gets, net?
Reply to Alan 2007-07-12 17:24:09 Unknown
FEMTANDPA contracts Xentel to do their telemarketing. I found this out by calling the number you list and pressing '1' instead of '9' (the one which removes you from the list). The representative told me that Xentel is contracted by FEMTANDPA. Xentel also does telemarketing for a number of other "charity" organizations. If you dial the FEMTANDPA number and ask to be removed, you will only be removed from the FEMTANDPA list. If you email Xentel, as suggested by the Xentel post on this board, and demand to removed from EVERY list, you will kill more birds with one stone.
Alan 2007-07-11 22:10:49 Unknown
Don't know where you found them via google. The organization you do find is not the same one. Read it more carefully. These guys do not appear to be on the web.
Call back their number... get the 1-800-540-4609 and listen to the recording until the part about having your number removed. This system will get your number by caller ID. Press the correct buttons to get removed and confirm.
Hopefully they will honor this removal.

Calls come in because my friend and roommate has given money to charities before. Someone who wrote on here that once you give them money they call you forever, is true. There aught to be a law that if you later ask them to stop calling you and remove your information, that they have to remove you and stop calling you. They don't honors such requests. They are rude as F. They hang up for any reason. If they don't immediately get who they have on their list or sheet, they hang up. You don't get a chance to say anything. If you can't hear them too good they hang up. If the wind is blowing the wrong way they hang up.
Honestly I wouldn't give these ducks a penny if they we're on fire and needed a real paramedic. I honestly don't know why they need our money anyway. I suspect most of the money is wasted in "administrative costs" anyway... and never goes to the emt's and paramedics anyway.
Anyway if they don't stop calling me, I'm going to start calling them. If they can waste my time, I can waste theirs.

Florida EMT and Paramedics Assoc. contracts Xentel to make these automated calls. It is not Xentel's goal or intention to annoy anyone. Rather, our goal is to help our non-profit clients establish relationships with donors who wish to support them. We sincerely apologize for any annoyance our calls may have caused you. If you would like your number to be purged from FEMTANDPA or even all of the calling lists for our non-profit clients, please send an email stating your wish to:

You are right about them being the Fire and EMT people. Once you give them money they"ll call forever.
FEMTANDPA 2007-07-10 17:14:11 Telemarketer
We are Florida EMT and Paramedics Association. We would like to the opportunity to convince you that the generous salary and benefits that we already get is not enough. But too many people are on do-not-call lists and it is very time-consuming and expensive to screen EVERY number to make sure it is not on a list that changes daily. So, we've figured out a clever way to circumvent the law and responsibility for these calls that you are getting many times a day. We hired Xentel, a company that has a clever way to circumvent the "Do Not Call List" law. Xentel makes calls that are, legally speaking, "uncompleted" because their automated machine hangs up before you have a chance to say 'Hello'. Clever, isn't it? That way, you'll have to call us back at 800-540-4609, and press '1' to speak directly to one of our friendly solicitors. Y'all call back now and make your pledge.
FEMTANDPA 2007-07-10 04:03:45 Unknown
Technically speaking, FEMTANDPA is abiding by the do not call list law. You see, if someone calls you and they hang up as soon as you are pick up, the call is never completed! That is the loophole in the law that our wonderful congress has instrumented. The caller ID is a ploy to get you to research who FEMTANDPA is. That brings you to this site where all of these spammers can try to sell you phone privacy technology. Ha! Ha! Jokes on you! What you need to do is file a criminal complaint and tell your phone company and demand that they block all calls originating from this number or caller IDs that you don't like.
