They call and leave messages warning of dire consequences.  The only way to strike back is to call at night after they go home and leave lots of messages. I always use star67 first and don't call 800 numbers, just regular area codes. I leave strange messages or sing Dixie or whatever. When they come in the next day, they have to listen to each one so that they won't miss an actual message. Wastes a lot of their time.

This number is attached to an apartment scam in New York on Craigslist. Stay away!! He gets you to call interested in a fake apt then wont leave you alone!

I received the same phone call about a loan and was threatened that I had until hours to take care or else. He also went on to tell me I could use anyone's bank card to pay this off he did not care, and if I did not pay it in 8 hrs he was going to press charges against me and I would be going to jail, and they were very rude. How do you expect to run a business and have people trust you when you are telling them to break the law which is a crime by useing anyone's bank card.

Several calls from this number, didn't answer.  I am guessing telemarketers.

Received voice mail from a man who said he was with HA&P.  He said they received a filing in the local office directly against me and the decision would be made today as to what would happen but he recommended that I contacted him immediately and comply on a voluntary basis. NO CLUE what this call is about, but I didn't return his phone call.

I received a call from a female that left a voicemail stating for me to return her call as soon as possible.  I called the number and she stated that she was giving me a chance to resolve a issue with a Payday Loan and that I had until Friday to pay the amount in full. Otherwise I will be facing serious charges for failure to repay a the loan.  She went on to say how I would be charged with a crime. Who are these people??????

Don't answer.  They are leaving very threathening messages.  I really want to answer to give them my 2 cents.  I don't even leave any personal information on my voice mail they don't even know if they got the right person or not and I don't either!!

i received the same call today threatening me that i was in serious legal trouble and that they needed to get my statement about a payday loan. i advised them that i didnt know who they are talking about and he went on to threaten me stating that i needed to make a payment today or else i could face serious charges. i asked who he was and he would not tell me. he went on to be very rude and nasty so i hung up and wont be answering anymore calls from them.

They are calling from 9046721021 and 9044185000 ext 126 & 128, will not give a fax no are extremely rude and continuously calling my coworkers leaving messages concerning my personal affairs.

This chuckle-head is obviously one of the rude people that call.  I can understand you standing up for your industry, but you need to see things from both sides.  It is not right for people to borrow money and not pay back.  It is also not right to call that person's place of business.  Give this some thought, if you get this person fired over the harrasing calls...how are they going to pay the debt?  Please use your sense more and your CAPS key less.

To your point about the employees calling needing the money from the job.  There are more civilized call centers to work for.  Feed yourself and your children without making other people miserable.  I hope you find some calm in your life soon...

This guy whose name is supposedley Eric Ross called my home and talked to my 12 year-old son...he told him it was an urgent legal matter and that if I didn't contact him immediately that he would be forced to send the police to my house to get me.  My son is twelve...HE FREAKED OUT!  My son called me three times and begged me to call the number back.  I called them and spoke with Mr. Ross.  He was rude and defensive from the beginning.  Tried to talk over me but I wouldn't let him.  Told him a few choice things and demanded to speak to his supervisor.  The supervisor then tried to play good guy with me.  What a joke!  WORD OF ADVICE:  If you are like me and want to pay the debt back but just don't have the cash...just call the company that the bill was with in the first place. They will work out a plan with you. Then these A-holes won't make any money off of you!  Then their families can do without like ours have! (RE: collector's comment!)  By the way "collector"...pathedic is spelled PATHETIC...AND I'm not sure that defalcator is a word...so look your kids in the face and tell them that!
