Bobby Taylor called me twice on Wed. & said I had won $22,000,000 & wanted to meet me at CVS which was 10 min. from me, but needed $499.00 for taxes. I reported call to police & they said "tell them to give it to charity. But I'm older, disabled & quite upset as he knew where I lived, etc.

This number was also associated with payday loan scams back in May of 2009. I guess that scam didn't work out so they're up to this new fraud. Guaranteed they must have you pay "taxes" or some form of fee before they can give you our big Powerball win. WSJ, I strongly suggest you call the real Powerball people (get the number at www.powerball.com) before agreeing to meet with anyone at your home. Usually these scams involve sending the advance payments via western union or giving up your bank account numbers or credit card. Visiting you directly may be dangerous, if they're serious about it.

The caller represented himself as a Powerball Mega Million representative in Washington, DC.. He wanted to deliver a check to me for $21,000,000. He claimed it was on hold in North Canton, Ohio. He had to deliver the check to me, at home, because he had to have clearance to bring money into Ohio. He called twice.
