It is SPS, Select Portfolio Services. They manage/service loans for BoA and other lenders.
oldsenior 2014-05-22 23:16:06 Unknown
You must be working for the same people that is harassing old seniors with the intent to rip them off. If you do not have a better suggestions for the sick elderly struggling to keep their homes then keep driving around hanging out the envelopes at the door knobs and collect your $5.00 check for helping them with the scam. That is the only good christian thing to do. Right?
robyns 2014-05-17 15:48:31 Unknown
They bought mine from BOA.
James 2014-05-13 19:11:59 Unknown
I was approved for a modification and I still get calls from these Dumba%%s. They are idiots!!
Charles 2014-03-26 18:53:49 Unknown
Why pay bills when the American Governement owes TRILLIONS!
paul 2014-03-11 19:56:17 Unknown
If there is any profit to be made by foreclosure, it is always a possibility even if you are making all your payments. What has happen to some people is that the payments have not been credited correctly to the account.
There are worse places to deal with much much worse.
At least SPS is willing to work with you, and this is not the case with all servicing companies. Ask as many questions as you can, and find out what is going on so it can be resolved.

Dave most likely is a collector for SPS or one of there low life attorneys.
RJF 2014-01-31 19:44:28 Unknown
Don't be such an a** hole. You are assuming that person is late on a payment or has don something wrong. Give your head a shake.
Steve Jenkins 2014-01-23 22:39:59 Unknown
Hi I am curious how things turned out for you. Same scenario Chase to SPS and told me they didn't have to follow the federal loan re mod process as the banks as they are a private investor. I have 2 years of total stress and at least 6 complete packets I have completed sent and have gotten nowhere.
Rebecca 2013-11-26 19:38:50 Unknown
Set up auto payment thru your bank. I have and no fees there...
Intelligent Life 2013-11-12 11:06:22 Unknown
And SPS is being investigated by the Federal Government because they are doing what to the people? Remember Bank of America and JP Morgan Chase . . . and the billion dollar fines they have weighed against them. Hope you keep your job . . . hope you find your soul. I assure you, it will take a deeply personal tragedy to have a sense of kindness in your life.
figgie 2013-11-07 03:52:00 Unknown
SPS has a ton of phone numbers. I don't answer the phone anymore unless I know who it is. period. and when their number calls I just cancel it. and I don't listen to voicemails.
figgie 2013-11-07 03:50:17 Unknown
yes, you are so self righteous and there by the grace of whoever, goes you. so shut up

I get these calls because I helped my parents with a mortgage modification. This company is mostly professional in tone, but very inept below the surface. It took two applications over 8 months to get the modification, because they didn't know they had all the documentation I had sent in. after 90 days, most of the documentation you send in becomes expired, then you have to send in new documentation. They assign you a "Relationship Manager" who you cannot call or email directly. Anytime you call, you get a different relationship manager. So why assign one to begin with? Probably a government requirement. So many times I would have to direct the person I was talking to to a specific document number they assigned to help then find the documents they already had. The real power is with the underwriters, which you will never have access to discuss with. This company is like insurance. They make it difficult so you will give up your modification request.

I agree they dont stop calling, 5 days before the due date, after the due date and even after you pay they just dont stop. ITS LIKE AN AUTOMATIC DIALER ITS HORRIBLE
Nancy 2013-10-16 13:05:45 Debt Collector
Its good ole Select Portfolio Services. If you're so much as ONE day past your due date they will call, nonstop. I paid mine at midnight on my due date online, and sure enough, the next day they called. Seems they don't check their records too much...they call you anyway.

melina 2013-09-27 23:52:30 Unknown
sps used to a subsidiary of a Swiss company and got sued and fined for malpractice with mortgages, so it was transmogrified to a new name, sps with the same abuses. look it up in wikipedia
jane 2013-09-10 17:46:11 Unknown
my mortgage isn't late until after the 15th----I've got 5 more days to pay--they must be desperate for money!!
Candace 2013-08-08 14:40:07 Unknown
LOL. Fan of Dave, Son of Dave, Dog of Dave, Shame of Dave, all the same person, no doubt trying to glean information from submitters so he can make a few more harassing collection calls.
Candace 2013-08-08 14:38:15 Unknown
Gee, Dave, don't you realize, if everyone paid their bills, you wouldn't have a job. And who appointed you the English language monitor? One would think, if you were so knowledgeable and so professional, you wouldn't be doing collections. Poor baby.
jane homeowner 2013-08-06 15:53:29 Unknown

I spoke to a Bruce Wallin of Select Portfolio Servicing, in Utah. SPS took over my loan and SPS is trying to foreclose.
Michele 2013-07-03 20:08:39 Unknown
Folks, there's a website you should look into, it's called Ripoff Report, free to join. Also, since you've gotten burned so badly on banks, try a credit union--their rates are better than banks, and since you're a part-owner in a credit union you get treated far better. And, most of them will accept anyone.

This is Select Portfolio Services. They just took over our mortgage from Chase. So far the people I have been dealing with as we re-work our loan have been very polite and helpful and they seem to be trying extra hard to help us find a way to keep our home. I am quite grateful for this chance. I have worked extremely hard to get back on our feet and appreciate having them work with me. Hopefully things will remain positive.
sam 2013-05-07 11:44:39 Unknown
I stop making payment because they keep asking, like bank of america, the same documents over and over.suspicious way to refinance your mortgage.i am thinking about hiring a lawyer but i can't afford one i am waiting for an approval so i restart payment.

I took the call and the caller asked for (first names of) my wife and myself (last name).
One problem: the caller had the wrong (wife's first) name...
I told the called "you have contacted the wrong (last name)...get your records straight and do not call me or this number again or I will take immediate legal action
