Ewelina Welna is easily found on Facebook if you do a name search on there.  Once you get to her Facebook profile, you'll also see pics of her with her UGLY boyfriend Rodrigo Gonzalez (both of them work together at Live & Direct Marketing, and Rodrigo's the so-called boss).  Rodrigo's one of those ugly guys who wears expensive pimp-like suits, if you've seen those type of guys before

Okay I worked at LDM for a little over a week before I got fired. My experience there was not too bad until I got fired. When I was being interviewed, Rodrigo didn't specifically tell me that it was a door-to-door gig. He used a more flowery phase to describe it, but I can't recall it. I did however meet a girl who told me that Rodrigo told her that it was not a door-to-door job when she straight up asked him if it was. Needless to say, she was upset to know that it was a door-to-door job and left halfway through her first day at work.
When I first came in, I did enjoy the vibe. It was different. You have a meeting that starts at 12 every single day. For the first bit, you meet up with your team, practice your pitch, meet up with new members etc. Then someone gives a motivating presentation. Then members are recognized for their achievements accomplished on the previous day. The crowd was young and energetic and the people seemed very nice. I liked it quite a bit.
However, I did see things that I didn't like so much. Employee retention rate is very low, from what I saw. Even though I was only there for a little over a week, I saw a lot of new people come in and leave within a day or two.
A girl was fired on her first day even before she got on the field because she didnt have the right attitude. I thought that was ridiculous. The girl did seem quite but that was no reason to fire her. She didnt even get to pitch to a customer before she got fired and I think that was very unfair.
I also noticed that my manager and her friend (who is also a manager), weren't very keen on training new people. They would train them for a bit and then live them on their own because they wanted to get sales for themselves. Although that was understandable, I think it was pretty unfair. I was once working with two people who were going through their second day and they were very clueless about what they are supposed to be doing. Their managers were a few streets down doing their thing and they didnt seem to care about these two people.
This is trivial but this did bother me quite a bit. I noticed that my manager and her friend were always gossiping about other employees, especially the new ones. I thought that was very unprofessional.
I got fired after working for about 7 days. It was most likely due to the fact that I missed 2.5 days due to reasons beyond my control and because I wasnt making enough sales.
I got fired over a text message! That's right, a text message. Talk about professionalism. Or the lack of it.
It didnt bother me much because I was going to quit anyway.
Now the story gets interesting.
I went there after two weeks to get my pay. I sat in the waiting room and I saw a former employee with her mother. They went in to see Rodrigo to discuss her pay. Now the door was closed so I couldnt hear much but I did catch a few of the things that was said. The mother was complaining to Rodrigo about how her daughter did not get paid for a week. Rodrigo then asked Ewa to get a document that states all the terms of agreement or something along those lines. Note that when you join the company, you dont sign any contract whatsoever! So you really dont know what you're getting into.
The conversation between them escalated and Rodrigo was screaming at them. Yes, screaming at them. He was mad at them for accusing him for being a thief or something like that. Rodrigo was yelling at them and was telling them to get out. The mother told Rodrigo that she'd get him and they left. From what I heard, that former employee went to Service Canada to get the issue settled. Im not sure what happened though after that.
After witnessing all of that, I was pretty scared to be there. Rodrigo was nice to me though and handed me my cheques. I realized that he had only paid me the base pay and commission for days I had made a sale. I didnt get anything for the other days, not even the base pay (which was $45 a day)
I didnt point it out right then and there because I was pretty shocked at what happened right before.
I decided to go home and text my former manager about the pay issue. She obviously didn't reply. I decided to let it go because I no longer wanted to be involved with the company.
The pay structure was not properly outlined when I started. From what I heard from someone else, you had to make a minimum of 5 sales a week to get the base pay for the entire week but that was never stated to me by my manager. I was only told how much the base pay was and how much commission was made through different types of sales.

So my review? This is a legitimate company if you meet all the goals of the company and if you're an asset to them. If not, they don't really care about you and they won't necessarily play by the rules. Because you don't sign a contract of any type, your worker rights aren't completely intact.

Holy cow! This thread is ridiculous lol
I got a call 2 days ago to attend an interview.
It went well, they asked me a lot of questions and reviewed my résumé.
I got a call this morning letting me know I'm starting next week.
To be honest, I'm very excited. This will give me an opportunity to learn about the marketing field
And also sales. Afterall, sales are really used in every business. If you don't sell products or services you don't have a business. Working face to face is actually empowering. I will brush up my communication skills, presentation skills and most of all people skills. I'm pumped.

It's kinda sad how people blow everything out of context. I was told in the interview that it's a base salary and a bonus structure. If that's a lie, I ll definitely be back up here and let eveyone know, but as of now, I will believe what someone told me straight to my face. My dad always has always taught me to be optimistic rather then pessimistic. And that's what I ll do! Forget this negative people. An opportunity is an opportunity, and I will seize it, if it's not for me I ll quit. No rocket science here lol

Wish me luck guys!
And I wish luck to all of those who are unsatisfied. I hope you find the perfect careers in your lives. Get the perfect salaries and just enjoy life. Best wishes everyone

Xoxo

Um hello, you obviously didn't read any of the posts before yours.  And if you google "Live & Direct Marketing Inc", you'll find even more negative reviews (and no positive reviews...unless they're made by either Rodrigo and/or Eva aka Ewelina themselves.  So you must be either Eva or Rodrigo in disguise - either that or you're their family member / relative / friend / who's trying to save their sorry a***s )

Are you [removed:lang] serious right now? These people helped me through SO much [removed:lang] that I've been through, from losing my dad, to losing almost everything. They were there for me. They would never do anything to screw anyone over. Yes, it is a commission based job, LIKE EVERY [removed:lang] MARKETING COMPANY. or at least most. If you're good at it, trust me, you'll make good money. I've seen people there make over 2,000$ a week. I'm not joking. Rodrigo and Ewa would never do anything to hurt anyone or scam anyone. If they saw that you weren't making sales and you were just wasting time, they would let you go and tell you not to waste your time. It doesn't cost them anything to keep you there or fire you. You guys are all blowing this out of proportion. This guy has a business to run and a family to take care of. Give the guy a break.

I really hope that the owner of Live and Direct Marketing Inc. as well as his receptionist Eva see this because I have a lot of respect for those people. Yes, this company is legit. I have worked for them before. They don't sell things like other Marketing companies. They do charities, which I absolutely LOVED because no other Marketing company (at least that's good) does that. Rodrigo, the owner, is a great guy and offers amazing opportunities that no other Marketing company offers. If I were you, I'd take it, considering I went into that office and cried for my job back (I got it back.) Trust me, it's a legit, amazing company, along with the people who run it and work there. I will always have a lot of love and respect for those people. Quite frankly, I plan on visiting them today when I go for my new job interview. So anyone who has gotten a call from that number, I better hear that you went in. You won't regret it.

So basically you go there thinking that you have some what of a base salary.........NOPE .
They use alot of physiological tacts to get you , and they try to keep the enviroment very "postive" so they play loud a** house music and everyone is fake smiling around you, Then to top it off you have group lecture on how <3 life is what you make it<3(which takes up 2 1\2hours)....Then before you know it your in a Van being pimped out. They LIE to get into buildings...Then you have to go around and knock on more then a thousand doors(literally haha you will get a tracking sheet so count!). And it's always some far off place from the office. although they say you finish at 9pm you dont get back to the office until 10:30. where you then fill out your sales for the(if you got any) so your leaving at like a 11(DONT BE SURPRISED IF YOUR HAVIING A 60 HOUR WEEK THEY PIMP YOU HARRRRRD) o and by the way just because you got a sale doesnt mean u will get payed for it. You get payed when they get it installed or applied. the very few sales you get(most likely from the people feeling sorry for you) you also have to factor in if they cancel after you've gone. Just to repeat it all the next day! No wonder why they have to give 3 hour "positivity seminar". Because for the most part the job is ABSOLUTELY MEANINGLESS'! Unfornately some of the people who work here have some selfesteem issue and all the hand clapping and ego brushing  (ie. they give alot of promotions) the joke is even with all the promotions your still "knocking on doors pleading with people as to why they should get what ur selling) For the most part your better off huslting for yourself! Yes you will get sales! but if you make it past 3 week mark(which is when they give you you 1ST WEEKS PAYCHECK!) <----- lol they dont tell you all of this. Then this is the perfect job for you! Some people have been working there for like 3 years....and they are still taking the bus.Not that anything is wrong with taking the bus( I take the bus everywhere) But if im making avg. 1000 dollar a week I(what they tell you)tax free which is 48 thousand a year...Knocking on doors<----somethings not right lol. Alot of people cancel when they find out there is and activation fee. Lol it soo funny "working here"

okay, So here it goes. I was called for an interview at Live and Direct Marketing. They are a marketing company and do door to door sales any where in the GTA. so they go to apartment buildings, houses etc.

They normally advertise 2 positions but the Administrative assistant position that they are offering is just fictitious because they need only customer care reps to do their door to door marketing. so once you are into the job there are 2 groups that are formed ie. they are going door to door to sell 2 different products. one is you need to do donation for a charity organization and the other is you have to sell a telecom company's products....
so i went with my team leader to sell the telecom company's products and we went to a cheap apartment building on the outskirts of toronto and we were selling stuff.. some people just banged the door on us and others had no option but to listen.... The people are very friendly but it will piss you off to go door to door and get no money for 9 hours a day... and the people who are working there... I dont know why they are working there but i think they are just too greedy to make money....

if you have a passion to work your a** of and make some commission by running door to door and listening to all the insults... go ahead and best of luck! :)

Folks, a lot of these job offers are not salary job offers where you get paid $/hour but sales jobs where you get paid a commission on the sales you make. They're giving these "jobs" away because your labor costs them nothing if you don't sell anything. Some of these are MLM jobs (your commissions are shared with your upline). You may have to pay $ up front for crap (certification, job materials, etc.) and your own expenses (meals, gas, clothing, etc.). It takes a certain kind of individual to be good enough at it to earn a livable income. Definitely not for everyone.

Yup, seems very suspicious, I highly doubt this is a "job".  Everyone who I saw sitting in the room with me for an interview was "hired".  Also when they call you they claim you applied for two positions, the administrative assistant and this.  NO one gets the administrative assistant position, that is just bait to get you to come in for an interview.
